T8 only. There were T8s on clearance a while back as I had bought some prior to deciding on LEDs. If you want to make it easy get the $10 Philips Instafit LEDs. The bulbs are phenomenal and bright and no rewiring of the fixture. Work with the existing ballast. I have 4 of these lights in my garage with those bulbs and it's great!!

can you provide more info on T8s you got on clearance? This light will have very little use, going with LEDs is overkill. Thanks

Bucket fan was a penny.

Portsmouth blower inventory is all messed up. Showed 6 last week with 6 on floor. Now shows -2 (after one I bought for coworker) with 2 more in overhead and none on floor...

I look at this picture and see the ce tech tv mount and two garage door openers as well that were just on clearance. Darn you get some nice scores. They keep the inventory pretty tight around here.

Haha ya... Disregard those ;)

Openers were night at 62.03 and tv mount was a penny. Next to the tv mount are some in wall cable kits I also got for a penny.

Yesterday I heard some intel from one employee training another which I can't guarantee is accuracte for all stores but she told him that the penny clearance tags are only printed on Mondays and Thursdays. So maybe there is opportunity on the days between those where the price drops in the system but the tag hasn't been printed yet and therefore the item not pulled from shelves.

Another uneventful HD run. Blah

I did note two clearance items that might be of interest:
Ryobi One+ 18V CDLS Chainsaw (0000-728-006) Was $119.00, marked down to $88.06 8/5/15
Bessey Vaccum Base Vise (10000-039-411) Was $29.97, marked down to $7.53 9/10/15

Ugh like some others my closest two stores never have good deals! And with our new house purchase we/I'm in there 3+ times a week!

Picked up an Echo PB-500T blower at lunch for 80.03 plus tax. Was a display but all the parts seem to be there. It has no store sku so I'm not sure how much different it is compared to model PB-500TAA with sku 844292 is. It's red and black versus white and black like the picture of the PB-500TAA model is in the Price Check app.

Chanisaws are not yet at **.03 status in Durham, NC.

Also picked up 4 of the Cutter Backwood two packs for 1.53 each (sku 164829).

I was able to pick up the alto T8 30 packs as well for $14.03 and then when they pennied out I went in to get them for a penny and return my $14.03 boxes but then I talked with the manager and told him I would be willing to let him keep the 3 boxes for a penny if he would just refund me for the ones I bought and let me keep them and that way the ones on hand could be pulled and donated to Habitat. He agreed. With 3 boxes (90 bulbs) I have enough to change all my fixtures twice.

Nikon,

The SKU you are looking for is 0000-938-238. This SKU is for a 10 pack box of Phillips T-8 Cool White Fluorescent Light Bulbs (UPC Code is 0466772027810).

I bought 3 boxes of these lights last night at the Chantilly, VA HD. In total I now have 12 boxes as I purchased 28 of the 2 bulb silver diamond plate shop lights which have since been clearanced out, and 7 of the 3 bulbs black diamond plate you found the other day. Planning to use them in my future garages - one attached to the house for the wife and family cars, one to house my 1952 Chevy Restomod truck (currently have halogen lights in my present garage). I found all of these boxes of lights for a penny each in the clearance sections of the various stores I visit in the MD/VA/DC area.

Also purchased two boxes of Phillips Instafit LED T-8 replacement bulbs (SKU: 1001-238-279) last night at the another VA store for $17 a box that I am considering using in these lights instead of the flourescent lights. Not the brightest LED lights - 1600 lumens, but will last longer than the flourescent and will be as bright or brighter. Just not sure I want to spend another $119 to get same when I already have more than enough flourescents.

See attached pictures of the flourescent lights and LED Replacements. As for the 2 lamp silver diamond plate shop lights will see what I can do. Unfortunately the lights are in my garage attic and I have to move my truck and other items to get to them. Instead, please see attached link which will provide info/pictures of the light.

These went on clearance prior to the 3 bulb black diamond shop lights that NIKON500 posted (circa March/April 2015). By going store to store I was able to get 28 lights - half of them cost $5 - $8, the other half I got for a penny each. Lights originally sold for $30 a piece.

That doesn't actually disprove what Cheesiepoof overheard. The BOD is not the date the penny tags were printed. It's the date the clearance markdown process began for that item.

The 12-oz TIKI Torches Color Flame Blue Torch Fuel is a penny. The Red ones should also be a penny. These were originally $5.98. (Btw, it looks like they're on clearance at Lowe's for $1.50.)

Reviews on HomeDepot are not very good, will probably return it.

This is hard flooring, I bought some for myself at half price 6 months ago. Back then only some stores had it on clearance. Now the remaining stores are clearing it out. I wish I had waited.

Sorry about that.....T-8 Flourescent lights have been a penny here in the DC area for the last two months. The three boxes I found last night were on an upper shelf in the lighting department - no clearance stickers, no lables, no indication that they were on sale. Confirmed that the boxes had the same SKU number as the clearance bulbs that I had purchased previously (I carry a listing of most of the clearance items posted here or I find in the store to help in finding good/penny deals when out shopping) and further confirmed penny price at SCO before purchasing.

I just started finding the T-8 LED Replacements. Found two other boxes last night at another VA store, but when I tried to ring them up at the SCO the screen reflected a message that stated "that the item was not identified". Attendant rang up the item by SKU and told me $17. However, before I could complete the purchase another attendant told me that they wanted $17 per bulb (each bulb is in an individual box within the package). Told them to keep them as they have other bulbs with 4000 lumens on sale for $9.99 each. At the next store I went to the cashier experienced the same problem ringing them up, but when he rang up the purchase using the SKU he gave them to me for $17 for each pack of 10.

Still finding both of these types of lights around the DC area, but have been reluctant to buy the LED Replacements based on lumens and cost compared to the flourescent lights. May wait for the newest lights to come down in price before buying any more.

HomeDepot has 2 versions of the Echo blower, the pb 500t and the pb 500h. The 500t has the throttle on the hose, the 500h has the throttle on a separate joystick. I know the 500h is the one on clearance now, and the sku is 844292. I think the 500t is on clearance too, or has already been cleared out. Its on the website showing not available in store.

A reviewer on Amazon said Echo blowers used to have better motors. The current Yamabiko motor is poor quality. They used to be made with better quality Kioritz motors. The one I bought has the Yamabiko motor.

I just found the answer to my question. From a HomeDepot review;

These blowers are almost identical – the only difference is the location of the throttle. The PB-500H uses a “Hip” throttle on the left hand side. The PB-500T uses a “Tube” throttle on the right hand side. We did a running change and kept the same sku number.

Today, in the stores, the PB-500T is the prevalent unit and its what we are shipping, though there some PB-500H models still available. Because of the running change, both models and UPC codes are tied to sku 84429

I suspect it was supposed to be per bulb. Are those the ones that were originally almost 30 each?

No sure why the photos are coming sideways. I am also having problems uploading images from my phone. Either way, found this on clearance.

Picked up another echo blower after work. Sold the other one to a buddy at work.

First impressions tonight is it's a nice unit. Lots of power and easy to start. Kinda loud though. Can't be beat for 80 bucs.
