Every store around here has that same cardboard display.

On a side note, a little depressed that HD didn't have any 1 day only specials today, like Lowes has on the Irwin vice grips. Couldn't find anything worthwhile today. The 36 pack Energizer AA batteries that they had for like $3.53 2 days ago have all been stripped out, must have just hit penny status.

I could care less if someone used these deals to fund a new Mercedes.
Don't want the world to know about a deal, don't post it.
It's like people posting posting **** on Facebook then crying when the wrong person finds out.
If GJ members don't take advantage of the deals, someone else will. If I score a big deal, I don't mind helping any local GJ members. I've already had a few messages to ship some of the nails, but once I told them it would cost between $20-30 per box just for shipping, they didn't reply. Anyone local who can pick them up, no problem.

We could just leave the clearance instructions and not post a single deal, let everyone find their own.

Take what you want out of the deals, but don't complain if someone else takes full advantage of it. I highly doubt that only people on GJ took advantage of the cheap nails.

I remember those nails. My Lowes had them out on a table a week ago along with other odds and ends. I picked some up and the manager in charge of clearing it out before REGIS inventory time made me a deal to take everything but the table for $10.00. Ended up ton of nails and now I need a pneumatic nailer but really just needed a few to fix some trim pieces around the windows.

Did end up with a Schalge lockset I could put to use and something stuff for a screen door I don't have. Oh and I ended up with 75 of these.

I went to couple of stores for some framing nails which online web said its in stock....None to be found....So I went back home,,,ordered online for store pickup at those 50cents price.... 2hrs later...I get couple of calls/emails from stores stating orders cancelled and they don;t have it...

well...I got back online to see order status and sure enough, its all cancelled..
But thing is online price of those nails has jumped up and it still shows those same store as having stock.....WTF is going on.... and I only ordered couple of boxes of those in different sizes and still no go...

Dude your gonna make me go and get some tommorow. With all the ones you got you can build a wall of storage with them. Post a pic when you stack them all together. :rocker:

Must be nice to get all these deals...I live in a bigger city so I guess someone else beats me to them. Most of the items were last bought on June 3rd so I'm sure it was the same person.

Yippee!!! I just got 4 of those backpack sprayers that were mention a while ago. All came up 1¢. All were in the rafters. 1 was even covered in bird ****.

I would never have known about these, if not for the guys sharing in this thread, so thanks. A special thanks to whoever posted a letter they got from CS, as 1 store manager didn't want to sell me the sprayer for a penny, and I showed a screenshot of the letter. Still took a little convincing, but I got it for the penny it rang up as.

Guess i better copy that and hit my HD tomorrow. I could use two of the top boxes and 1 bottom. Thank you rocket.

Would they seriously price match that? Like... I could go to my HD where they are 300$+ and walk out with a top and bottom for 160$? :shocking:

77ford, how are you going about getting other HD stores to price match another HD store?

Have 3 HDs in my area, two of which have computers where I have been able to look and see the tough system boxes at the clearance price, but those stores are out of stock. The third store still has them listed at the original price.

Quick question.........sorry if it's already been answered.

Regardless of what the price of an item is, if you look it up on the in-store computer it's the same as getting an employee to scan it right? So if there is something for a penny then the computer will say it?

"Price check" on self checkout will say if it's a penny. The price check app won't.
Pretty sure that if it's a penny it will be "item not found" in the price check app, meaning you have no way to search for them.

I printed out in "Color" the pic from an early post..... And ask for a "price correction" talked up the cute blonde and showed proof that Home Depots around the area had the same deal.

It is work but saving $ 1000 this weekend was worth it

You can't get another store to price match. Well, not very often. You buy the product at store A for, just say $300, then take it to store B, who is selling it for $50, but they don't have any stock. You return it to store B, getting your $300 back, then buy it from store B, who is selling it for $50.

This is plan 'B' if you can not get a price match....... Go a head and planning on buying a full price if you know a local store has a clearance price....

Grab your balls and go in like your kids life depend on you getting the deal....You will feel like a hero and be fist bumping all the way home!b6b2f60eed3122360ba897697c118b03.jpg

Is there a better way to navigate the Price Check app? Whenever i click an item, then go back to the list, it starts at page 1 again. How do I go back to the previous page?

That's it unfortunately. You have to re-apply filters every time you click an item then go back

I went into my HD after 4 yesterday to grab a few of the $1 blades, but the cardboard display was nowhere to be found. The price check app said there were 50 of the metal and 50 of the wood blades still available, but they were inactive. I took a screen shot & politely ask the tool area guy for help finding the display. Long story short, it was in the rafters on another isle. On the side of the box it said something like ...to be displayed on 7-4-2015 put on display immediately. He pulled it down, activated it and by that time till closed I am sure they didn't sell too many more than the 20 I bought. Right next to it was an unopened Milwaukee Tool Olive Branch promo box, it said to be displayed 5-21-2015.
Does anyone know what the Olive Branch promo was?

Well Olive Brance is a city in Mississippi where Milwaukee has a manufacturing/distribution facility. The promo could be either the cordless drill/radio or the cordless drill/impact. It could also be a display for the pliers.

Guys,
I need some guidance. I used the pro desk to price check at my local store and finally found something. They had 3 Bostitch 377457 framing nailers in stock for $58. I found them up in the rafters. I only grabbed one, wen't to self checkout and did price check and it came up $229. I went over to a young lady and had her scan it and tell her the price check app said $58. She called the Hardware Manager and he checked and called the store manager on the phone. The store manager said the price was $229 and would not honor the $58. The Hardware manager said that price check was the internal inventory, so then I asked him why it wasn't that price. He wouldn't do anything so I put it back. What do I do to get that nailer for $58? Can I buy all three?

Also, they had a bunch of nailers in the rafters that had DNI (do not inventory) labels on them...

The only thing I can think of is maybe the price check app was logged into a different store.

On 2nd thought, I was told the F28WW framing nailer was a new model, so it wouldn't be on clearance. That's the only Bostitch (besides the $400 flooring nailer) at every store around here.

You may want to go back and make sure the price check app is set to that store, then if you were right, try with a different associate.

DNI boxes are empty (generally), because the contents are on display.

As to your other issue, I would get corporate involved. Call them while you are still in the store.

What is the number to call and do I just explain the situation? Is there concern if I piss the current manager off?

I'd like to get my hands on these nailers (1 or all 3).

The only thing I can think of is maybe the price check app was logged into a different store.

I don't think it was the wrong store because it said there were 3 in stock, I went to that isle and all 3 were in the rafters. I didn't look closely on the right of the screen but I thought it was bringing up local stores that are close.

Even the Hardware Manager knew they changed over all the nailers last month.

Hmm. Well I know every store around here still has it at full price.

I hope it does go on clearance around here...I'd rather have that than the coil framer I got a few days ago

Drove out to Bluffton, SC for the first time today. They have two of the large Dewalt Tough System boxes but a price check showed them at full price still. I picked up another Ridgid organizer for the modular combo I got last month and walked around the rest of the store, finally finding some Vika 4-in-1 work platforms for $59, down from $99. Surprisingly, the .mil discount worked as well, bringing the price to $56.29 with tax.

I bought one blindly as my phone wasn't working. Seems to be a decent deal, and the Vika work platforms have good reviews. The website shows them at $79, and they are a bit higher elsewhere.

Just investigated on Pro app, New England still has these and haven't started clearancing them. I checked South Carolina, and most of the stores are sold out, meaning they probably clearanced them.

That sounds like a very poorly run Home Depot. I don't know the specifics of the store they might be understaffed but not setting out promo displays is pretty bad.

I only have one HD store with in 100 miles. So any price match I try would be to a store out of state or across the country. Has anyone been successful with price matches like this? (From HD stores out of their state?) If you have gotten push back from store managers, what angle have you been successful with? What stance/angle/point brought up to them has been successful? Is there anything in their price matching policy which would "require/force" the store mgr to match price? Would getting corporate involved do any good in this type of situation?

I ask because my local store has two of the Dewalt 36" tool chest bases up in the rafters which I need one to go with the top box I already bought. The head store mgr told me a couple weeks ago he would not match any other stores prices anymore when I tried to get him to sell one of them at a discount to me. Unfortunately he was being a bit of ***** about this, which really surprised me as I've only ever gotten 1 price match from him. I am hoping to go in today to try and get a "price correction" thanks to to Rocket's price app photo of the Dewalt chest at an out of "my state" HD for $88'. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'd like to hear an answer to this question, just out of curiosity -- I also live on a state border and there are different deals across the state lines. None of the fantastic deals reported here have ever been available in the 10 stores on my side of the state line. The prices here are always the fantastic prices that others report, but the inventory is always zero. The price check app reports plenty of inventory in other stores across the state line, but there's no way to check the prices at those stores.

I'd be happy to purchase the item outright if the "local" store across the state line had the same closeout pricing, but there's no way to check on that. I'd be happy to make the drive to the other store if the store would be willing to price match my local store, but because they're across state lines I doubt that they'll want to do that. It's not unreasonable to consider that stores in different states might be on different clearance schedules.

One thing I am not interested in doing is buying the item at full price in another state, hauling it back here, and trying to do a return/rebuy. That just seems like a scam and my time has value. Sure, I enjoy tool shopping as sport, but it would stop being sport if I had to start bending the rules because I've become obsessed with getting a deal and nothing else matters.

Possible but this store has 3 sets with 1/4 in. dust on them. The ***. manager overheard the guy talking and said we have had them for a while. Then said we are gonna start carrying milwaukee and husky boxes.

I was tempted to try the return rebuy on the 42" Husky tool chest for $139 but that is too much of a hassle to try and attempt
