Couple of pictures to help in the 'hunt' -scored a two pack of 12V Ridgid 4.0 AHr batteries for $35.04 and the Milwaukee 14 piece Hole Saw kit for $20.04. Good luck out there.

Ahhhhh, it never ends with this site...lol

Needed 2 hole saws to get something done at home...didn't feel like dropping $80 (I knew the sets went for that), so I picked up just the two I needed for now.

Now I can't remember if it was the 14 pc set I walked by or not...hmmmm haha. Going to bug me until I get a chance to run by there tmrw.

No dice on the miter/table saws. Honestly, I could really use both as I'm tired of using my father in laws stuff

It was on an end cap with other misc. clearance stuff. The 14 piece version of Milwaukee hole saws was the Black Friday special that sold for about $30.

They also carry the regular 13 piece hole saw kit in stores but that is going for $79. The main difference between the two kits is the Black Friday special had two less hole saws (missing the 1 1/4" and 1 3/4" but had two more 1/4" pilot drill bits).

The boxes look very similar so I would check both areas at the store but look at the picture on the front - if it is missing two hole saws, you got the Black Friday/14 piece/Clearance version. SKU for the clearance ($20.04) version is 1000-015-983.

Not sure about the price match from online but you should be able to check in-store inventory using the SKU. Seems like I've read that in-store pricing can be different than on-line (which appears to be the case here).

You seem like you'd know better than I would.

Could I order online and then return/rebuy to get the $20 vs. $32? If that didn't work - at the very worst, just return it?

I called around the whole area, and they all showed no stock, or if they did it was a qty of 1 and they couldn't find it. Definitely worth looking in the stores.

All you can do is try but my gut tells me they'll say that on-line is different than brick and mortar and the $20.04 price is a clearance price just to get it off the floor and out of in-store inventory. Good luck whatever you decide.

stopped by my store looking for the 2 Ryobi batteries for $50. Stock showed 4 but they couldn't find them. Didn't really need them...

I also found a shelf tag for a Milwaukee M12 Fuel Impact for $43. They checked for me and found no stock, the guy even helped me check the clearance shelves in case he had any not showing up in stock there.

Damn. That's a good deal on that ratchet. I've been searching for a deal on those for some time now. Looks like a trip to HD is in order.

I say "you all ****" because my Springfield, MO Home Depot never has any of the items. Sure am glad someone is getting these good deals.

I bought a whip hose for $3 off the clearance shelf yesterday. Not a huge deal, but I really needed one for a reel I have hanging up in my garage.

I just drove 40mi to a store that showed 4 in stock but of course they had none. The nice lady who helped me search talked to her manager and got me 2 of the single packs that rang up at $99 each for $25.02 each.

Have had my eye on that 14 piece Milwaukee hole saw set that I saw posted...

Of course my local store had none on the rack - but, found one on the floor in the section adjacent to where it belonged haha. It had no retail packaging, was open, and had the SKU for the 13 piece written on the front of the case - but, had everything in it and wasn't used.

Took it to the CS desk - 1st lady wanted to discount it to $50 - bc the SKU written on it was for the $80 set lol. I told her it wasn't that set and she wouldn't have it. I walked away.

Thought about it for ten minutes and went back. She had left and there was another lady there - asked her if I could check out the set again - and showed her the '14 piece' Milwaukee sticker on the side (didn't realize it was there the 1st time - oops) She looked it up - claimed that it showed in the system for $20.04 - and then took 50% off of that. Walked out with it for $10.02 lol. Sometimes things work out..sorry for the long winded story - just sharing a deal!

hey service desk lady, I read about these XXYY at near give away prices on a forum on the internet. :dunno: it must be legit :p

They always look at me like i'm crazy or a crook when I try to get the deals listed here, or get them to price match.
YMMV.

Didn't find the hole saws or miter saw in Cordele, GA, but there is a Klein datacom/cable multimeter marked down to $22 from $84. I'm tempted, but don't need it since I got the Ideal version at Lowes for a similar price.

Well, if you happen to be in the area, there were 2 left a couple days ago at the store in Warner Robins. They had 3 on the top shelf in the tools dept. for over a month, and I picked one up earlier this week. I called before I picked it up to confirm the $200 price, and they even told me they had 3 in their inventory.

Went by today and picked up a 782 in the League City TX store for 200 bucks. They wouldn't match the HF coupon but oh well. I called Friday and asked the lady on the phone to search with the internet number and she said it was online only. Went in the store today and gave them the SKU which was given earlier and showed they had 4 on hand. All of them were in top stock and there wasn't any on display or any labels where the miter saw were. I would definitely go in or call and give them SKU #917666. Good luck.

So yeah I called another store last nite. It was clear that the customer service counter was just looking at the website. If you can get an actual associate on the floor w the hand-held deals, these seem to represent actual store stock. I know someone else already said that in this thread, too. I tried to get hardware but the person was supposedly "out to lunch" - - in the last hour of business hours, not sure how they figure that works. Isn't that just going home early LOL?

Yeah, but a few times they were down right nasty with me.
There is no need for that.
I had a print out of a receipt and she kept asking me, (real mean) where I got it.

I completely agree! Some of the employees act like you're trying to steal $ right out their own pockets. My position is just see what it rings up at, go w the system & be professional.

I once found a set of the DeWalt pliers that had been clearanced to .01. There was no price on it but it was in the clearance end cap. It was awhile after the .01 pricing and long enough (apparently) that it had been removed from the system as it didn't ring up at all. A manager was called and she asked me what I wanted to pay - I said the item was clearance and had been .01 at other stores and she immediately acted like I was a liar. She's welcome to her judgment internally but the definition of professionalism is not showing that outwardly. I just kept my cool & thanked her for her time.

Several hole saw kits at the sugar land Home Depot location in Houston. They had no indication that they were on clearance but still rang up as $20.04

I posted in the 2014 thread about my experience trying to buy some tile on clearance. It was kind of similar in that it was like they were offended you would ask for a better price :dunno: I have watched that tile and after paying almost $500 for it, I have gone back twice for adjustments as they later reduced the price. I'm currently in it for about $150, in part because they were so witchy with me about it the first time. They could have sold it to me at 350 or even 400 and I would have walked away happy and they would have made more.

To be fair, it is not everyone who is like this, just a few employees

I found a bunch of stuff today. The hose reels might go back, but the ryobi 18v batteries for $50 and the flashlights seem like good deals. As much as it would be great to have the milwaukee fuel cool aid, this weekend warrior has a hard time justifying the money for red. Not sure that I need a cordless hammer drill but for less than $20 I figured I should get it.View attachment 415559

Thanks, but when I leave here its back to the Savannah area. BTW, the Klein meter I .mentioned yesterday has a $90 tag back on it today.

Same style (ie the 4 sets of arms) is on clearance at my TSC for $31 w 50' hose.

I've only used the full-round HF reels, but most come w 30' hose which is a little too short to reach across my 40' W shop.

Yes. That 14 piece set that I posted earlier show as ~$32 online and $20.04 in store - if you can find one. If I remember right - they're leftover Black Friday special sets (could be wrong).

I have no need for this, but Denton, Texas Home Depot has a wifi irrigation controller for $29. Marked down from $209.

Guess I'll try it for that.
