Just got it taken care of ..... Walked up to the service desk gave them my old reciept and told them the new price. They called someone and they told them the OG purchase date, which was last week. They then credited my account. :)

I was so happy I forgot to stop and get lunch.

The one (and only) HD by me never has anything.................. I've wasted more gas $ than just paying full price.

Has anyone found any of these saws in Illinois? I've called numerous stores and all have said they are special order. Each store is over an hour from each other so its cost prohibitive to just start driving from store to store.

I wonder if they have marked down the hose reels again?

I posted this on 2/9/15 post # 267

The large one 505HR-RET $23.03 regular price around $80
The small one was 501HR-RET $10.03 regular price around $40

I bought 2 each from my store, I took all they had.

I don't know how much lower they would go after that, if there were any left.

They also had air hoses on sale to

Can we get a sales tag photo? We might be able to price match it at other stores using that.

Good deal on that saw... or any saw really.

No sales tag photo for these, you really just have to get lucky and find one left in the overhead storage areas.

Here is the receipt, though.

Since the price drop is not on the website and my store is out of the 782 do I have to actually go there just to see if there's a lower price?

Did you haul them back up there, or did you convince them to just give you the price difference?

had to do a return / rebuy they don't price adjust. They did not require me to take the saws to the store. Just did the whole transaction at the service desk.

Cannot find a 782 mitre or the 745 table saws for the life of me..

From what I've gathered - my best would be to steal one of the PDAs from a floor associate at HD and look up inventory using one of those?

go to the pro desk. they often have computers there facing the sales floor. It's windows, click on the start menu and choose "store menu". from there the top group is something like "Public Menu" (to me that means ok for me to use it) - in that menu is "Price Checker" - open that and enter the SKU - once the item comes up with the price, click on the right side where it says something like "check other stores" and it will show the inventory levels for the store you are in and all nearby stores.

If someone is there, i just ask - "is it ok if I use the price checker?" never had anyone care. you can do this on any PC in the store but the pro desk is usually set up the easiest and they all seem ok with it.

I have had cases where the price check app did not recognize a SKU but an employee found it on the PDU but that is RARE

I just tried to do that and they wouldn't let me do it. Asked for a price adjustment said No and then I said I want to return and rebuy and said No this was from the Manager but he wouldn't even come out to tell me said it over the phone from the back or something. The 1st one was bought on Feb 5th I'll try another store by work tomorrow the store I got bought the saws at I never liked always rude.

So I went looking around and found another one wrapped up with a bunch of the Dewalt Compact Reciprocating Saws on the top got it down and just bought that will try another store to price match I wouldn't mind having 2 with how much cutting I do.

Today I went to a couple stores for a couple adjustments.

Over the phone, store #1 said I could get the adjustment as long as the purchase was within 7 days (apparently only 7 days for adjusting prices of clearance items). When I got to the store they balked, but I explained I had called, etc. I also suggested a return/rebuy but I was told since there were no more left, if they went to ring it up again it would come up as a penny (NOT TRUE, since they punched the SKU in for a price check and it showed the lowered clearance price, not a penny). They then "did me a favor" and return/rebought

Second store I went to get an adjustment at gave me zero issues. No 7 day bs, no "its going to ring up as a penny" bs, etc. They just returned the item, credited me, then re-rang the item.

Third store I was looking for the miter saw.....their price is still 200, but store #2 has it at 100. Store #3 says they dont match clearance pricing from other stores, but that I could buy the saw if they had it and they would give me no problem adjusting it if it went down to 100 (unclear on how many days....30 or full 90). Not sure if they have one, and I dont need it so it would only have been to flip it on CL or something. Not really in the mood for dealing with schlepping a heavy *** saw thru the snow in my truck.

TL;DR - Home Depot stores seem to make this stuff up on the fly sometimes. Other times I truly believe they have come up with their very own policies and since then they have "just always done it that way". Ive heard great things about HD corporate, it would be interesting to give them a call and ask if these policies exist or not.

I just picked up a Ridgid 4110 miter saw for $150 (regularly $199). Being a display model I noticed its missing the blade, bevel knob, and work clamp after I brought it home. I must have been in a deal daze or something. Anyone have any experience with Ridgid replacing this stuff? Worse case I'll just return it.

Got the prices adjusted on both my miter saw and table saw...a little more than 200 back between the two.

I appreciate you taking the time to post - thank you..

To clarify - using that computer should give me more accurate info than what I'll get from using a browser at home? That's the point, right?

Has anyone else seen the markdown on the DW782 .

I did.......thanks to this post this morning! Had been watching two of the Dewalt 782 miter saws on the shelf in Poughkeepsie. Stopped by after work today and bought two of the Ridgid 4.0 batteries for $18. Asked to check the price on the saw and was told it was $100.02 and they had two in stock. Sent a text a friend to see if he interested in the second one.

He sent his wife to the store while I ran home and got my truck. The employee gave her a hard time, saying the "price must be wrong".... "we probably don't have any in stock"....."why are you buying two"...."where did you hear about the price." He was trying to treat her that way as she is a woman and probably thought she was stupid. Thankfully she is anything but stupid, stood her ground and when I walked into the store, she was standing there with two saws on a cart at the check out!!!

When I figured this system out myself, I ended up showing the helpful CS associate how to find this information so she could help me. She started the search process by pulling up homedepot.com which was not helpful in my quest for dwindling clearance stock. This associate now knows me by name and has been my go-to-person for price adjustments/returns etc

No miter saws by me. By the time they reached the 200 mark, all gone. Lots of CL resellers in my area.

Nothing by me either. I must have called 20 stores today. Some associates helpful, some not. Anyone in Ohio have any luck finding either saw?

I searched 2 stores today and actually found a Dewalt miter saw in the top storage near Hardware. It took about 45 minutes to find someone willing and able to check the price for me, but it was $100. To sweeten the deal, the cashier honored my $20 off Northern coupon, so I got it for $80 plus tax. Now to find a table saw!!
