I drove everywhere looking for a rotary tool kit. One store had 3 in stock but they couldnt be found. I searched high and low. Employee stash would be my guess,

I picked up 2 of the miter saws back when they were $240 (one for me and pops) and have price adjusted twice ($200, and now $100). Home Depot is putting out some crazy clearance prices between the $100 miter saw, $75 table saw, $25 2 pack of Ryobi batteries, $25 m12 rotary kit, and $38 m12 heated jacket! All of which I have picked up besides Ryobi batteries (no need)

Has anyone had success with a price adjustment/return-rebuy at a different store from their purchase?

My local store still has the $200.04/$150.04 prices, and a store 20 miles away has the lower prices. My local store was a few days late to get those prices compared to the other, but I just called and they still haven't dropped yet.

Ive done it. But Im guessing its very store dependent.

My most local store are sticklers for their policies (which seem to be unique to themselves) but another store a little further is really cool about return/rebuy.

I usually do try the store I bought the item at first....in my brain I somehow think they would be more apt to help out if you went right back to them. In reality I dont think it matters much.

Cool, thanks. I'll just give them a call before I head up there.

Based on the large amount of people who have been finding the saws at the new lower prices, I have a feeling your store you called told you wrong. HD is not like Lowe's, you usually don't find different prices on identical items unless they are weird returns or displays. In the case of these "special buys", I would be VERY surprised if this was not a storewide markdown.

Not necessarily true. One of my local stores still has the miter saw at 200, another has it at 100.

The one that has the 200 price says they dont match clearance prices of other stores (this is also the local store that I say seemingly pulls their policies out of thin air).

I imagine at some point the price will drop to 100, just not sure when that will be.

Yeah, my closest store took 2 days longer than the other to drop down to $200 miter/$150 table. They still had inventory, so I just called them everyday with the SKU to check before I purchased. So maybe they're somehow delayed.

If I can't get a price adjustment at the other store, I'll check my store to see if they get the price drop.

I've been to like 16 different Home Depots and can't find any of this stuff you guys are posting. I'm driving from Chicago to Minneapolis today for work and after two stops nothing. Oh well

Is there any way to check stock or the actual price at Homedepot stores other than driving to each individual store??

You can try calling and giving them the SKU number. I did at mine and they gave me the price and quantity on hand, and they had the exact amount they told me. I read others did the same thing and even had employees grab the item and hold it for them.

However, I've read of others stating their store showed 0 inventory, yet they were able to find the item.

I had to go out of town for work last week and called one of the local stores in the area. They looked it up and did not have any in stock, but could tell me inventory levels for every store in their district. This kept me from having to drive to all the different stores. If they attempt to tell you "sorry, sold online only", they aren't looking in their actual inventory system, they just searched it on their website. I've called a lot of stores for different items over the past month, and it has been hit or miss whether they look it up online or actually check their in store system.

Always look in top storage. Especially if they say they have a quantity and can't find it. A helpful hardware guy and I found a Dewalt 20V lithium battery I was looking for at Lowes by looking behind one of the sliding pictures they have above their tool section. He was determined to find it. That's the kind of employee you want to find.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Dewalt drill/impact driver kits are now down to $50.02. Got my adjustments on these as well. Item 714-832

Can you confirm that SKU? I can't find this kit online via the model number or SKU. Also checked a couple of local stores with this SKU, but it wasn't found. Not 0 inventory, but not found like the number is bad.

Thanks Jeff! not the same as the kit Ratchet Gear linked to, but still a good one. Though I bet there aren't many left in the stores at that price.

For the table saw, did you have to bring back the tool to get the price adjusted or just the receipt?

Man, I just had the best experience with HD.

Like I said earlier, my local store still showed the $200.04/$150.04 for the miter/table saws. A store 20 miles away showed the new $100.02/$75.02 prices.

Called that store to find out their policy. The rep said they couldn't adjust clearance prices, but wasn't 100% sure and transferred me to the store manager.

I explained the situation to the manager and she stated it would be easier to just do a return/re-buy. I was happy about that, but the best part was she did it all over the phone. I gave her the receipt numbers and she processed the refunds, then I repurchased the saws at the lower price! Saved me 40 miles in gas and an hours time!

Thanks GJ!

Awesome!^^

I bought the miter saw 100 miles away for $194.44 with tax. The wife just did a return/rebuy at my local store and they knocked off another almost $90!

New total = $97.45!!!

I'm happy you guys are getting these deals (translation: I am really beyond bitter that every store in my area has 0 on hand of both saws).

Checked the pro desk computer - zeros across the board. Womp womp womp...

Trust no one. Wander around the tool area and aisles on either side of it and LOOK UP! into overhead storage. You might be surprised at whats up there.

Luckily the miter and table saws are pretty big so they cant exactly "hide" up there.

That's awesome! You really can't beat that price! I was happy with it at $200, but $100 is crazy.

Here's something funny. Yesterday I ordered a 80T Forrest Chopmaster from Acme for $125 shipped. With today's price adjustment, the blade ended up costing more than the saw, lol!

Yeah, DWS782.

It seems like a step-child of the DeWalt miter saw line, only sold for a holiday-ish promo.

Every single 782 Ive found in the last week was in overhead storage so dont be surprised if you dont see them on the floor.
