Trust no one. Wander around the tool area and aisles on either side of it and LOOK UP! into overhead storage. You might be surprised at whats up there.

Luckily the miter and table saws are pretty big so they cant exactly "hide" up there.

Went to one of the stores on my way home last night looking for the 745 table saw. Computer says they have three in stock, was there for over 30 minutes with the guy looking for them but nowhere to be found. I did ask about checking the overhead bin because I could see several DeWalt boxes up there but he said he looked from the other side and none of them were it. Full of **** or really did climb up there I don't know. Could be hiding them for employees once they get paid. I may stop by again tonight just to see what they say.

I hear ya..

I've wandered around staring at the overheads (they probably think I'm shoplifting or just plain odd lol) and haven't had any luck.

Might take another ride out to a store tonight - search continues...

That's awesome! You really can't beat that price! I was happy with it at $200, but $100 is crazy.

Here's something funny. Yesterday I ordered a 80T Forrest Chopmaster from Acme for $125 shipped. With today's price adjustment, the blade ended up costing more than the saw, lol!

LOL I'll take that any day tho!!

If I didnt already have a Bosch SCMS, my new blade would have also cost more than my new miter saw :) Picked up a Freud ultra crosscut for 100.00 from Amazon.

I like the Bosch a little better because of the up front controls (even for bevel angle) but for 100.00 if I didnt already have one the DeWalt would have been my new best friend.

Bring some binoculars. To see the model numbers and/or SKUs. They probably already think you're weird.

Just tell them you're with undercover boss. They'll probably not only leave you alone, but also be VERY helpful.

Anyone looking for the $15 miter saw stands, the store at bellaire and beltway 8 in Houston, TX has around 8 of them. I believe on aisle 10 on the highest shelf towards the middle of the store.

None in Orange or Stratford.

Last I saw there were a bunch in Bridgeport but that was a couple weeks ago.

Long Island, NY.

weird thing is sometimes they have miter saws all over the place - so, I've done full laps at times - it gives a small slice of hope - only for a sad drive home haha.

Sorry guys that I could not get back to you faster with the Item number for the Dewalt Drill/Impact driver kit. Thanks to the guys that help out with the item number also. Its funny because it was working and now I see that it says not found, yet it is the first item that shows up under suggested items/customers also viewed section lol.

I just have to say how happy I am for these deals. I got the adjustment on the drills and on both the 10'' table saw and the 12'' miter saw. They also applied the 20% off Harbor Freight coupon that I used the first time on both saws. I love this place!!!

For the guys that bought the 2 pack of Ryobi batteries make sure you check those too because I believe they also ended in .04.

TL;DR - Home Depot stores seem to make this stuff up on the fly sometimes. Other times I truly believe they have come up with their very own policies and since then they have "just always done it that way". Ive heard great things about HD corporate, it would be interesting to give them a call and ask if these policies exist or not.

I have called corporate before and they just tell you that it is up to the stores. if you are disputing a specific issue (like they won't sell it to you at a certain price, etc.) corporate will call the store manager and it will almost always go in your favor.

but -- it is a bad mark for a store to get a complaint and get corporate involved. So save it for when you REALLY need it and/or don't do it within 50 miles of home.

it is FAR better to have managers that like you and work with your over the years than to be able to buy a drill press for a penny. purely hypothetical of course.

and if you are treated well - do the survey at the bottom of the receipt - it helps them out. (off to do a survey now!)

finally.... everything we have bought in the last few weeks seems to have dropped in just the last few days. not worth a price adjustment on the small stuff but keep your eyes open. There are some deals to be had.

I appreciate you taking the time to post - thank you..

To clarify - using that computer should give me more accurate info than what I'll get from using a browser at home? That's the point, right?

yes (I think). it will give you the in store price for the store you are in, and show inventory at surrounding stores.

At home I can only get the online price and can't see inventory for around half the clearance items. If there are tricks to searching at home I would love to know them.

Yeah, the ending numbers signify something. **.04 dropped to **.02. Im not positive but I think the next drop is right to a penny (not **.01, but actually 0.01) at which point the items will return to vendor or be destroyed.

Its worth keeping an eye out, though........if they do drop one more time it might be in half again. That would just be insane: 37.50 for a table saw? 50.00 for a 12" SCMS?

Found some good deals at my store today. This is at the League City Tx store. First off i got a refund for my miter say so that saved 100 bucks. They had 4 milwaukee rotary tools for 25 bucks which I picked 3 of them up for myself and others. Also had some good deals on dewalt bits and dremel tools. I saw the 2 pack of rigid batteries for 16 bucks also. They had multiple ones left. All in all a good day. Looks like they reduced the prices by half since i went in a couple days ago of all the clearance stuff.

Also notice how all the prices end up in .02 cents.

I stopped by a couple stores looking for the miter saw stand, and they were all $100. I found newer boxes and old boxes, all $100. What SKU can I use to call a store and check inventory?

I think it is the one you posted the link to. I checked at my local home depot also and saw these boxes as well. They ended up being the ones priced at $100 but in a new box.

I had good luck locating a few of the Ryobi Miter Saw stands. Her's what I found out:

1. The clearance SKU is 1000-053-618 and it is in the green box. This was a Black Friday special. I think the Black Friday price was $59.97.

2. The regular SKU is 446-334 and rings up $99.97. I've seen boxes with the 'new' green style as well as the older blue - same SKU on both boxes.

3. Get on your walking shoes and physically look at the in-store inventory. I found a couple where the store said 0 in inventory. Orange Apron Dude told me that HD associates can get lazy and improperly assign the incorrect SKU. Said this happened on the miter saw stands as well as both of the DeWalt saws that were holiday 2014 specials (because they are/were very silmilar to regularly stocked SKU's).

BTW, I have the Craftsman version of this stand (different paint scheme only) and it works very well (although it doesn't have any wheels to move it around). All in all, a smoking deal.

Lastly, the TTI/Milwaukee/Ridgid/Ryobi lady saw that I had two of the miter saw stands in my cart and she asked me if I knew they were on clearance for $15? We exchanged high fives and I checked out - even getting a 10% military discount on the way out the door.

Happy hunting!
