Same as Chris. I'm curious as well, but getting a straight answer out of some people at Home Depot is impossible. Or if you get two different people to give you a straight answer, you get two answers.

Someone earlier in this thread mentioned that their store would let them exchange their hoodie for a different size if/when it ever came in. In my case, thats all Im really trying to do.

Mediums were back in stock on the website for about 5 minutes last night. I already bought a 2XL....just wanted a size that will actually fit better. Best case is they let me return/rebuy at the clearance price, and I keep the 2XL to sell. Or I can exchange the 2XL for the M at the 2XL price (38.02). Or they dont let me do ANY of it and I just return the M.

No dice on the Table saws and miter saws, but I'm in for two of the Dremel Multi-max oscilating tools on clearance at $20.02, was $69.97.

Buyer beware though, the packaging says something "Tool and storage case made in Mexico"

And when you open the box, there is no storage case.

Either way, it'll be a decent upgrade from my HF model. Comes with 2 blades and sanding attachment. The blades alone retail for more than this whole kit is on clearance for.

If you get a friendly novice CS associate you could be successful because it's mainly a size exchange rather than an big price adjustment requiring the MOD. I suspect HD and HD.com are treated as two separate entities because whenever I had returned or cancelled online orders they were sent back rather than added to store inventory. My M18 2655 squealed when used and I was able to exchange it in the store for the M18 2654 because it was the same price....so maybe you will get lucky

Anyone in Rochester NY looking for the 4 piece HDX trim nailer set: http://www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-4-Pi...ERCH=RV-_-rv_homepage_rr-_-NA-_-204323604-_-N

Check out Ridge Rd, Irondequoit, they found a spare pallet and are clearing them at $48 and change for the set. Slightly better than the Christmas price and 50% off the current web price. They get decent reviews for home use and are on an end aisle halfway back in the store. Looked to be about 6 or 8 sets left.

I've been around and around with them but haven't tried it. The best answer I've gotten is if there's a store SKU, they can do it. Otherwise, if you return an item bought online, they have to ship it back. But I'm curious about this as well. I bought the hole saw kit for $33 online. Of course I used a gift card, so I'll have to go through that mess again. Can you report back?

From my experience, this is correct. If they have a store SKU, they keep it at the store, otherwise it gets shipped back. The one weird thing, I returned a Dewalt kit that was ordered online, along with another identical dewalt kit purchased in that particular store, one had to be shipped back, and the other did not. YMMV

I would not count on them being able to price adjust an online purchase in the store.

Hey all, thanks for the awesome information. I managed to land a Makita impact wrench for 50 (actually before I saw this thread haha), but haven't been able to find the Makita 3.0A 2-pack batteries on sale; everywhere I looked had them for 119. Did anyone have a receipt for that one?

Just found 2 of the Milwaukee Roto tools marked at my HD for $58.04. I showed them a picture of this thread showing a picture of it for $25.02 and they match the price so I bought both!!!!

ok guys, please school me.

you show these various items for clearance prices. are those prices only shown in the store itself? every one i look up online shows the original prices.

do you check online for them? or only go into the store?

so, what is the process here for scoring these deals?

thanks

tom

Store only from what I've seen

You go to the store, find item and check out. That's it. Nothing special.

The problem is finding any of these things now

The clearance prices seem to be set nationally and not advertised online. Once an item goes on clearance, it seems to trigger something with the online inventory system that makes the actual store inventory unavailable.

Thanks to this thread, I visited three central Texas area Home Depots this rainy afternoon and scored:

50 ft retractable air hose for $23
The last three ryobi miter saw tables in central Texas for $15 each
The last two $25 ryobi two pack lithiums in central Texas
A rigid 2 pack lithium pack for $18
Three packs of husky vice grips for $5.02 each
Husky t handle Allen wrenches for $5

Really wanted the ryobi fan, and found the $39.97 one, but the SKU was different than the 19.97 and they would not price match.

I will be down in Austin in a couple weeks, mind selling one of the miter saw stands?

I got two Dremel oscillating tools. One for 33.02 at one store and one for $20.02 at another store opened box but complete. I really wanted a mitre saw. I have been nursing a 10 inch Delta slider with a broken handle for 5 years. I need a new saw it is dangerous. Too bad I missed out on the mitre saw. I did see a bosch saw at HD when those go on clearance I will drive 150 miles for one of those. At least I got one oscillating tool for me and one for my brother in law.

All clearance stuff is all gone in my area. I went to 8-9 stores.

Looked at the Janesville WI store, no power tools. I did find the Dremel saw but it was full price. Had them check to make sure. Same SKU and model #, but full price.

Thanks for the heads up. I went in this afternoon just to see. Nada on everything except the rotatory tool. If anyone is in the Galveston area, there was one more up top above the routers when I bought mine.

The stars aligned too. I got to work and had a metal shard sticking out of some shelves. Got the call to fix it and bam, pulled it out of my trunk.

Not the cheapest price that a lot of us would like but right now you can get this Husky 22" rolling tote with bonus bag for $69. They have the same rolling tote for $129 by itself. Once again you have to go check your local store because it is giving you the out of stock online when you look it up.

SKU - 1000-053-039

Here is the one for $129

SKU - 1000-013-187

The tag you posted says it's for model MM-20-06H and the picture of the saw says MM20-07... just wanted to make sure you knew you probably weren't going to be paying $20 for the MM20-07.

Picked up 2 of the ryobi 2 packs around noon today on the southside! They also adjusted the price of the 2 pack I purchased last week for $50. Glad to hear you scored! :rocker:

Thanks for pointing that out but it was not something I realized until now. Regardless at self-check out, it rang up $20.02 and I'm happy to post what I purchased so others can visualize what the deal looks like.

I found a unicorn in Wisconsin Dells tonight: A 2X Milwaukee heated hoodie.

I also wanted to add to the conversation, the Ridgid 18v Wet/Dry shop vac was instore only for a Christmas offering. They are currently $49.00 in store and online but were originally $89. In Wisconsin Dells they weren't marked with the normal yellow clearance tag, just a printed paper sign with the lower price. They were just sitting in the aisle by the other vacs. Ridgid has a tendency to offer a product like this only as a limited time deal so if you want one, grab it now (online or instore). http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18-Volt-Cordless-Wet-Dry-Vacuum-Tool-Only-WD0318/205349467

I'm not 100 percent sure that I want to keep the hoodie because I think an XL might fit me better than a 2X. How well does a 2X fit under a jacket?

Nice finds! IMO a properly fitted hoodie will give you the best results because its got to be somewhat close to retain the heat and for you to feel it. On very cold windy days, a lighter windbreaker type jacket over the hoodie will help retain the heat because the hoodie is no match for the wind alone. The kit comes with a standard battery (1.5) but I like the 2.0 for a little longer run time.

If you go back to get it, I'll buy it from you plus shipping.

Found one of the dws782 mitre saws at Home Depot. Paid $100.02, feel like I won the lottery. Checked 4 other HDs in the area but only found this one. Not complaining!

Beautiful saw on a beautiful bench. Makes me wish I had the saw (but my hitachi will do for now). Plus I don't have the room for a slider.

Now get working and get that saw dirty.

stopped by two more HD's this morning and left empty handed. Still could use a Saw max or table/miter saw if anyone has an extra!
