My HD stores dont even ask to see a Lowes card.

The ones that dont give me the 5% also dont ask...they just outright say no, its for HD commercial card only.

And yes Ive asked for it on the clearance items but I dont press the subject if they tell me no. One time (when I only had my temporary HD card) the cashier thought I had just signed up and gave me the first purchase 10% off after refusing the Lowes match. So technically I got the "first purchase discount" twice

Good Question.. If they do, I haven't been getting any discounts when I use my HD CC.

I havent been getting my 5% discount either using my HD card. I do however like the 0% interest on purchases over 299.00 for 6 months. But I am always receiving the 0% for 12 months. I did get a 10% coupon in the mail the other day from them as well.

I have heard that some stores have quit matching the Lowe's 5%, but I have never had a problem getting it and some cashiers even do it without me asking. It is supposed to only be given if you are paying with an HD card (possession of a Lowe's card should be (irrelevant) and should not combine with another percent off promotion. Some cashiers will tell you that if you get the percent off, you do not get the financing deal. I always pay mine off so I cannot confirm this.

Local HD had both the M18 Milwaukee + 18V Makita blowers for $69 back in Dec '14 (might even been further back). Picked one up during the big HD 150 combo promo. Great for clearing wood chips from the miter saw or work space

They got the 700 lumen one (I think) for 5 bucks. It's decent...very decent. Only problem is that the multi mode switch ***** on just about all their stuff (versus say a selector switch) otherwise no complaints besides the 3 C batteries (included). When it comes time to buy batteries that means you're in for 2-2 packs or a 4 pack with one floating around.

Are you sure? I think their coupons now have the same exclusions. I did a crazy gift card/coupon stack to get my Weber for like 18% (20% off, then an additional 10%) off 3 years ago, but I noticed last year that they excluded Weber on them now.

I think I got gift cards $40 for $50 gift cards from somewhere, then stacked it with a 10% off coupon.

Just show your HD credit card and say "I want the 5%". They know exactly what to do.

Not sure if it will work with any other coupons.

Found 3 Ryobi miter stands by my house in top stock. I bought 2, one for me and one for my uncle. The 3rd I was going to buy, but a guy asked me about them and I let him have it.... Plus I don't think I could fit 3 stands in my car with 2 car seats... =)

Searching (optimistically!) for the Dewalt saws I just found one of the Dewalt tool box top chests (40 inch or so) from Black Friday. I haven't seen one for a long time, so just in case there is anyone still looking for one of these, it is in the Houston at the store by the I10-Beltway intersection (west side of town). The guy scanned it and it is still $125 - not shown in their system though.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I appreciate the offer but its not important enough to me to try to run down the savings. Gotta love this forum tho-thanks!

Nope, these Makita or Milwaukee specials (battery+led light) were available in the stores around Dec '14. Found mine in a local store last month towards the end of the 150 combo promo. Probably sold out now except online @99

I spoke with one of the guys that worked there and he said they probably had about 9 in stock but ofcourse they all went out the door real quick. Saw the battery alone priced at 99$ lol... I was trying to look for some more on the regular makita isle but they had no more. Definitely a great deal.

Definitely been a fantastic season for battery deals for Milwaukee, Makita, Ryobi, Ridgid owners. The LED worklights are bright and have great run times. "forced to buy Makita"? well Makita power tools are one of the better brands to own if your going to invest in power tools. Otherwise unloading your deal here at GJ won't be a problem.
