if you have the receipt...can you post a pic or just the item ### or sku ### of both the top and bottom....that way I can find price and locate which stores still have top or bottom..
that way... I can just ask them what price the sku ## is ringing up in their system.... if its too much....I would rather get the harbor freight one.

Here's a receipt for the top that someone posted in December.

Deserves a u **** award no matter what they say about Husky tool boxes. One can always find some use for a roller tool cabinet. Newer generations of Husky tool boxes are slowly making improvements thats getting noticed for value/performance

Haha. That's what I thought. It's definitely not worth what they originally wanted, but couldn't pass it up at that price.

Be on the look out for old floor models in the racks. New lines are coming out and I passed on a 14" Ridgid chop saw for $90, normally $179. Also had some other miter saws in the rafters, in case anyone is interested and wants me to pick it up for them.

I'm looking for a miter saw. Like Dewalt, but open to pretty much anything if the deal is right. Any model #s or SKUs I should be looking out for?

A couple possibilities

Ridgid 10" Compound miter
Model: R4110
SKU: 187029
$50.03

Ryobi 10" Compound miter
Model# TS1344L
SKU: 649865
$30.02

Ryobi 10" Sliding Compound miter
Model: TSS101L
SKU: 745455
$50.03

The Ryobi saws ended up being marked down to 1 cent in my area. Associates wanted to help me check out each time, so no sale. Look for the older white and blue boxes.

I did the opposite of this with an old dustbuster, posted about it here:
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4360406
I was able to find the part# for the plug itself from a flashlight (I think) thanks to the help of someone else on here. You should be able to do the same thing in the other direction or just put some pigtails with connectors (not sure of the Ryobi terminals).

Someone here asked about a glue for it, I used 3M #04240 because I have it around. If you can't find that or it's cost-prohibitive I used to use a product called "Plastic Weld" that was available at most auto stores. It is sold under both Permatex and Devcon names but it's the same stuff. I never found another plastic epoxy that worked as well as that stuff until I moved up to 3M.

Now I just need to find me a vacuum... None of the stores near me have had them.

The airline highway store has 3 or four left as of last night.

My store also had an R4120 that had seemingly been displaced from the tool aisle and was set back by itself next to clearance. It still rang up $299 but I'd expect these might drop.

The replacement for that saw is on the website (R4122).

Top# 1000-042-427

Bottom# 1000-042-423

Just saw 1 top and 2 bottoms today.....Top was $199 and bottom was $299.

I talked to a manager to inquire about the price explaining that HD had dropped the price 3 months ago. He said just have to wait and see if the price goes down.

I hope this will help.....:D

Thanks pablo94sc!

I stopped by one Home Depot, they looked up the sku number and told me there were none in Houston. Stopped by a 2nd one on the way home, they had 2 just sitting there just asking me to buy them. They rang up as $40.03, I guess because they were unopened but I showed them pablo94sc's picture and the cashier kindly adjusted the price to $30.03.

Picked up a 27" tool cabinet for $30 tonight. They have a new model in and I got the floor model. Hopefully the pic will upload from my phone since it has the sku.

man...I just purchased the same unit for $60 two weekends ago. Going to bring the receipt and the picture to the store and see if I can get a credit for the difference.

Thanks.

Were there any Ridgid 18v batteries on clearance, or was it only the 12V?

The Ridgid 2-pack special 12V was marked down as low as 18.02 while the 18V battery was a special with LED work light. Lowest price I saw before they all sold was $49 from 69

I picked up some more materials for my shop build and forgot to check on the husky boxes but I did pick up an hdx mini palm nailer for 6.03. They had a dermal 12v max w battery no charger or box priced at 60 but price checked at 20. Was going to pick it up but quick check of eBay shows the chargers going for 40 so I decided to pass

In the past couple of days a couple of tool box items have hit $**.03 status! NOTE: $**.03 items do not drop to penny status. Rather, after awhile they just get marked “RTV” (return to vendor). Only $**.02 items will drop to penny status after a few weeks.

Most HD stores have the Tool Cabinet (with wheels) ringing up at $30.03., even when the shelf price still indicates $90.06. So don’t get fooled by the shelf tag. Use the in-store computer terminal or the self-checkout line to confirm real price at your store. AND DON’T FORGET TO LOOK UP IN THE RAFTERS. One store I know had ZERO tool boxes on the floor. None whatsoever. But their in-store computer said they had 26 units in stock! In the rafters there were multiple pallets of them still wrapped in cellophane! Remember, you want SKU 794770 which is the clearance box. There is an almost identical box with a longer SKU which is still full price.

Same goes for the top tool chest. Many stores have it either listed at $60.06 or even at full price. But the real price is $20.03

Husky 27 Inch 4-Drawer Tool Cabinet
SKU: 794770
Price: $30.03
For reference:
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-26-in-4-Drawer-Tool-Cabinet-Black-2633BKCA4THD/203270273

Husky 26 Inch 4-Drawer Tool Chest
SKU: 794768
Price 20.03
For reference:
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-26-in-W-4-Drawer-Chest-H4CH1/203182690?keyword=794768

Another tip: if your store insists on selling at the higher $**.06 price, you have three options:

1.
Just buy it at that price and do a return/rebuy when your store finally marks it down to the $**.03 price.

2.
Or, you can take your receipt to a different HD that already has the item at $**.03 price in their computer system and do a return/rebuy there. It works even if the second HD store no longer has the item in stock.

3.
Finally, you can try to get a price match by showing the receipt scans I have posted for you.

Actually $**.03 items do drop to a penny. Typically they go to a penny 3 weeks after hitting the $**.03 level but the stores have gotten a lot better about pulling them before they hit a penny. The progression on these items is $**.06 -> $**.03 -> $0.01, which is what HD has been doing on clearance items for years. Sometimes they use $**.56 -> $**.53 -> $0.01 instead.

The $**.04 -> $**.02 -> $0.01 progression is a newer markdown schedule that they've started using on some items lately as we've been seeing here.

Another store in my area had two listed in inventory, but they were nowhere to be found. I think that they were pulled, so if ya'll find one, it might be penny time. Sku I bought was 356231.

Just got a call from a friend of mine in Fresno. There are more than 10+ rolling cabinets in stock for $30.03 at the North Fresno location. They also have 10+ of the top chests at $20.03. The south Fresno location has the top chests at $20.03 but is sold out of the rolling cabinets. The Clovis location has 10+ of the rolling cabinets but they are pricing at $90.06. Do a price match there if needed. About 1 hour until closing at these stores.

Can anyone confirm which SKU is correct? I could REALLY use 2 of these right now.

There might be one rolling cart at the Fairfield home depot. I didn't have time to stop and have someone check, but I think I saw one up top in the hardware aisle. If I have time I'll go back today.

My local store in Roseville, MI #2707 had an few AmFlo hose reel left. It rang up as $.01 at the self check out but the cashier caught it and called someone from the tool department. He said that they don't sell things for $.01 so they wouldn't sell it to me.

Just scored a ryobi compound miter that use to be a display. Rang up as penny so I bought it for the last clearance price of $50. This thing has about an inch thick layer of dust on it.

Ridgid diamond blades are on clearance here, 12 and 14 inch. Anyone know if the 12 inch fits in a miter saw? Been on clearance for a while but the price doesn't seem to be dropping. Sku for 12" is 137377 rings up at $59 I think. Didn't both checking the 14" since I have no use for it.

Hey Rob thanks for all the heads up!

I have to ask about your screen name, is it that you work for Homedepot and your name is Rob or do you just rob Homedepot with all these deals?

I guarantee the guy from the tool department brought that reel home for a penny at the end of his shift!

ive used an abrasive blade in my miter saw with no issue.

some of those diamond plates are wet use. even the dry ones you really need to use wet. the segmented blades can be used dry, but you really wouldnt want to put that in a miter saw (assuming you are wanting to do smooth cuts) the segmented and turbo style diamond blades are really for only cutting into concrete.

continuous rim is what youd want for a smooth cut, though i dont know what youd want to cut in a miter saw with it?
