As much fun as that 150 promo was I'm kinda glad its over (sudden tool overload) then the rapid price adjustment chase afterwards (.06>.03>.01)...honestly I was exhausted. Sold off the excess batteries and free non-fuel stuff but the M12 chargers are almost not worth selling except at a garage sale.
Yeah only kicking myself for not buying more stuff to resell and offset my own spending. Especially the work light battery combo...I knew where a bunch of them were but wavered on buying to resell them

Did a few price adjustments and that helped. Directed a few friends at the miter and table saws... No profit for me but it was nice to help them with their tool collections

I know of one more unicorn item but I doubt I'll get it... Would take some work and accomplices to make it happen

Found a couple 4pc Bessey clamp set kicking around in the clamp section without price tags. I wouldn't have known to check price without this thread, thanks fellas! $9.90 per set and more rugged than I was expecting, great deal.

Yeah that is a good deal.

I was able to match it but only by using the 150 off promo a couple months ago.

Funny thing is of all the red tools I bought during that promo, I think the best was the one I ordered last minute: m12 fuel hackzall. Great form factor, used or a bunch yesterday.

Right when they released the M12 Fuel hackzall they had the kit priced with a 4.0ah battery priced like 10 dollars more then the bare tool. I was going to sell the original M12 hackzall but I decided to keep both. While the Fuel is a better tool it did grow in size also

18 volt ridgid vacs on my local craigs for 60.00. lol

I think the Ridgid vacuum is a hard sell to be honest. I mean people have Ridgid tools don't get me wrong, but they are not as common as some of the other brands. I just wish I could snag an M18 vac for that price :(

The Ridgid 18v finish nailer dropped to $65.03. I found two in Bowling Green, OH. I picked one up and left the other. They were still marked $195.06 but the manager matched the Toledo stores price. I think Woodhaven, MI had two in stock also.

It might be worth it at the discounted price but I have heard some not so nice things about the Ridgid trim gun. Still at $65 it cant hurt to try it.

I never got to use/touch/feel the M12 hackzall (non-Fuel version) so the size change doesnt really affect me. I did read it got bigger, but I also read of other improvements (better sealing around the blade mechanism, etc)

If I find an astounding deal on the non-Fuel version I might give it a try but right now Im happy with the Fuel one. It wont replace a full sized sawzall, but for most of the work I do the hackzall format is a lot more appropriate.

I should mention that is Cdn$ too, so about 125$ US. I went back yesterday and they are selling open box returns of the same sawzal discounted to only 179$. I'm hoping to catch a fuel circ saw as my Ridgid took a tumble while up on some trusses and I can't get it to cut straight now.

The M18 Fuel Sawzall for 150 was a pretty sweet deal. I look around for the yellow tags but the deals are never great the majority of the time.

Here I am thinking I'm the only one on GJ that's in BG. Lol. I haven't had much luck with any deals there. I may have to check out the finish nailer though. Thanks for the heads up

It's in the clearance area and more expensive online, but I'm tempted to find one of those finish nailers in the stores.

Derby CT store has the finish nailer price lowered, but I couldnt find any stock. They have the display there but I wasnt interested enough to ask them to sell it to me

Ive also read the displays have dummy batteries, and ive NEVER had luck with HD locating the boxes and accessories for display models

Same in Fairfield. Saw the display model marked down (not to $65 though), but didn't want to ask about it.

Has anyone in the N. MA/S NH area seen the Ryobi router and 10" miter saw? Went to several stores. Only found two that listed the router (qty. -1 and 0). Thanks for any help!

The reviews look pretty bad on that finish nailer. Does anyone here own one? Is it worth hunting one down?

Pretty much why I havent tried very hard to find one.

Im more interested in the Ryobi versions (AirStrike) but also wonder if they are built similarly to the Ridgid that gets bad reviews.

I'm really on the fence with that nailer. The reviews are not so great, and I would have to re-buy all of the nails again. I already have a Bostitch 15g nailer, and I don't believe the nails are compatible. On the other hand, it sure would be nice to drive a few nails without having the drag around a compressor and hose...

I just bought the 18 guage Airstrike brad nailer. Haven't used it yet in a project but in the few test shots it worked great. I don't have a compressor and I'm very basic when it comes to my projects but I'm attempting a head board for a bed and thought the brad nailer would be a good tool to have down the road. All the reviews I saw were pretty good. Only down side is that the guns are a bit heavier than the pneumatic versions but since I'm not a finish carpenter by trade I figure I'll tough it out.

HD does have a sale going on right now for $129 you get the tool, a P102 battery and a simple charger. I had seen the $129 previously as the bare tool only.

My local store has a section up front they store most clearance stuff in, where are you all finding the deals? Still on the shelf or a designated clearance section?

The most recent topic (cordless nailer) has still been in its normal shelf location at my stores.

A few of the other items have been in there normal locations or a separate clearance area in the store. And even some other items are still up in overhead. It really feels like a treasure hunt!

I complained that I had to climb up the mobile stairs myself only to find that the end of the box had a little tear. The cashier told me she saw me trying to climb up the shelving to get it and said that I deserved an extra discount. She called the manager and he said give him 40% off. I asked if I could go grab some more stuff and he laughed and walked away.

I am lucky enough to have Lowes and HD right next to each other. When I need something I make sure to walk through each store. I usually find stuff in obscure places that make no sense. The nail gun was just over with all of the other nail guns.

I got my deal of the year so far yesterday. 80 square feet of hardwood floor that had been returned for $25 dollars. Worked out great because I have a lot of flooring to fix after removing a wall.

I've been watching the finish nailers lately, always see them at the barely marked down $19X.** price. I'm guessing that the price was lower the last week or so but the tag didn't reflect that. Of course, as soon as I walk into the store looking for them they are all cleared out. Asked an employee to check the SKU and they said a store 30 mins from me might have one, but I didn't have enough time to make that trip on a slight chance. I did call the store and the employee there said they couldn't find it, but you know how that goes...
I saw the reviews were terrible, but a finish nailer is the only nailer I don't own anymore and with the LSA I was willing to take a chance. I figured maybe they'd make a new one and if mine broke I could upgrade. ;)

Buy for $499 at store #1. Take receipt to store #2 to have them do the price match/refund.

I've had manager approvals to price match themselves for much more than $200..

your worse case scenario is you return it for full value and are out gas+time.. but for a possible $200 savings might be worth the chance to you. if it's all semi local.

Same.

One of my local stores has been cool with everything...."returned" my 1/4" Fuel impact driver so I could re-buy it under the 50/100/150 off promo. The returns cashier said no problem, re-rang it all and said "wow you ended up with a great deal"

Another of my local stores gave me gruff when trying to price adjust a clearance item ("we're not supposed to do this", "if we do a return then try to rebuy but the price is a penny we cant give you the item", blah blah blah). In the end they "did me a favor" and tried it and surprise surprise it all worked.

Ive never been outright turned down about a price adjustment...if I were Id just try another store. And I never raise my voice or act like a d$ck....I just calmly say I was hoping you could help me out, etc.

Hey guys what does the $**.06 price mean again?

Just wanted to report some findings:

M18 fuel 3/8" impact 1000-022-626 down to $120.06 so it's slowly dropping, I also checked the price at several stores and it is consistent. ( although most stores do not have it in stock)

Coast 215lm LED 419-135 down to $13.** this is the one that has been sitting at $39 for a bit

Husky 1/2" Drive 500ft-lbs impact wrench is on clearance, (believe it is this one, Internet # 203458696) only $7 off so far

The Ryobi "fuel gauges" which are great for hacking the Ryobi batteries onto other tools/lights/anything that takes DC electricity dropped to $2.5x from the previous $7.50 clearance price

I *thought* .06 meant the beginning of the clearance. So eventually it would drop to a .05, .04, .03, etc.

Some say it represents the number of weeks left in the system or the number of weeks until the next markdown (not sure which).

The Fuel stuff is hard to come by in my area....the bigger/busier Home Depot locations have more of it. Ill keep an eye on those to see if the impact drops anymore. I actually have one that I bought during the 50/100/150 off promo, and after discounts it was about 90 bux so it would be tough to beat that deal for a while.
