I *thought* .06 meant the beginning of the clearance. So eventually it would drop to a .05, .04, .03, etc.

Some say it represents the number of weeks left in the system or the number of weeks until the next markdown (not sure which).

The Fuel stuff is hard to come by in my area....the bigger/busier Home Depot locations have more of it. Ill keep an eye on those to see if the impact drops anymore. I actually have one that I bought during the 50/100/150 off promo, and after discounts it was about 90 bux so it would be tough to beat that deal for a while.

As popular as the m18 line is I wouldn't doubt that it gets picked up before it gets too low. Of course if you buy one you can always return/rebuy.

I pulled inventory for the district and only a couple stores (the big boys) had any stock.

I am pretty sure this one just went .06 in the past week so I am going to attempt to track it like a hawk (as long as there is inventory) so I can try and understand.

I've had manager approvals to price match themselves for much more than $200..

your worse case scenario is you return it for full value and are out gas+time.. but for a possible $200 savings might be worth the chance to you. if it's all semi local.
I tried convincing the store manager to price match other store clearance price.. He said no way he was dropping $200 and he's not matching clearance items..

But I may try to price adjust the receipts and if they don't then back it goes.

No luck here with store manager, he doesn't take harbor freight coupon or lowes computer printed coupons.

Hey guys what does the $**.06 price mean again?

I'm pretty sure .x6 is the first real clearance price on it's trip down to $0.01

It should drop to 75% (not sure on that number) off it's regular price in 6 weeks. It'll then end in .x2 and have 2 weeks before hitting $0.01

I had a lady price match a Ridgid shop vac to a receipt I had on my person from another store.

At first she was fine with it but when she saw the jump from $50 to $20 she started saying something about %40 (I think) discounts. She then started getting a little defensive and anxious and started acting like I was trying to get her fired. She cooled down 10seconds later or so but for a moment I thought she was going to pop.

She did only give it to me because the self check out girl had told me if I had PROOF it was $19 at the other store they would pricematch.

For the M18 3/8" impact what's the best strategy? Buy it now, wait 13 days for a price match? All the stores near me have 3 or 4 in stock.

Price match wise you technically have 30 days.

Return/rebuy you'll have 90 days.

It depends on how your local store(s) will handle it. Some insist on the 30 day thing, some just do a return/rebuy and some will say they refuse to price adjust or return/rebuy on clearance items.

The Ryobi "fuel gauges" which are great for hacking the Ryobi batteries onto other tools/lights/anything that takes DC electricity dropped to $2.5x from the previous $7.50 clearance price
Got one today. $2.53. Not bad to have around for checking my batteries charges.

Saw this today at my local HD (38017) for $90.00 - 5 Drawer 26" black-out top chest. Similar to the one linked below. In-store SKU: 1000-026-196

Thanks. I don't really need it now I have the 2763-20 1/2" model and the M12 Fuel impact driver (~100ft-lb) but would like to have the 3/8" for years to come. Don't do much work that requires an impact now but that's mainly because I have a sloped driveway in a HOA.

The Ryobi "fuel gauge" slides on the 18V Ryobi battery post but easily slides off, so whats the plan to secure the battery?

Success...luck out...one of the stores had one hidden away.. I was able to score a honda lawnmower 407235...for $298-10%off lowes coupon... I tried 20% off....clerk said okay and did it...but computer system said needs manager approval....so he called and manager said....no deal.... then they only allowed the lowes 10% off coupon...

well...atleast I got a honda lawnmower after my 20yr old craftsman crapped out...BTW... picked up a ryboi blue box string trimmer for $33...straight shaft gas...

Now to get a gas chainsaw unit...any deals there??
First time home depot clearance shopper and am loving it...its also an addicting

i seriously hate that all these things get posted in one thread instead of each deal being posted on its own thread in the hot deals forum.. it defeats the purpose of having an entire forum to post everything, if it all gets hidden in 80 pages of **** that never get filtered out...

I agree.

I'm not about to wade through a year's worth of posts to find the current deals.

If I find something - I'll start a new thread. Don't know who thought the "annual" thread was a good idea....

I feel the same way. when I find an awesome home depot deal, Ill post it in its own thread. I check here every once in a while and find out I missed some good deals. Maybe we should turn the hot deals section into one big hot deals thread to save some clutter?

Nah, that makes too much sense. What I'd really like is to have every single deal posted separately and then every single reply to that deal posted separately also. But hey, what do I know? Besides the fact that I got 3 DeWalt contractor table saws for $75...

This doesn't work though...

I think the complaining about the bs cluttering up the thread is really cluttering up this thread. Maybe take that to a new thread? :-D

I am still confused. If an item ends with say .96 does the 6 means 6 weeks before price drop to next level?

Well the Ridgid vacuum has a battery compartment so I am thinking about having it upside down and letting gravity hold it together.

My other project is to convert one of my halogen dual lamp worklights to led using 2 50w led plates. For that project I am going to weld a little battery tray/box that will hold two batteries in series.

If the loose connection seems to be a problem for either of these I am implementing velcro

If you plan on getting any of these deals you really need to be checking this thread daily, if think you can just go through the years postings and gather the ones you like then go to the store and pick them up it's not going to happen.

Many of these are gone within the day (especially if SD picks up on it) so all that you really need is the most current page and possibly the one before.

Ya'll know you can click that little blue box next to the thread title and it'll bring you to the oldest unread post, right? That way you only see the newest posts.

Contributing to the clutter on this thread....

Ryobi 26cc 2 cycle powerhead. This is just the engine. The string trimmer/leaf blower/edger/cultivator etc are sold separately.
$20.03, down from $79.00.

There is ONE floor model in my area. No box, no battery, no charger, and looks fairly beat up. They offered me...

10% off. No thanks d-bags.

Sounds like my local Lowes. They've had some stuff on the clearance rack for two years, like a tool box missing both its latches and an opened Kobalt cordless tool set. Damaged/open/missing stuff is almost universally 10% off. Another favorite is their habit of putting full retail price back on items once they drop from Lowes' website.

I called the closest store and they said they didn't have any, but they said another store in the district had 5. Went there and they were showing $448. They wouldn't match the $117 even though the original store I called said it was $117. Bought 2 (one for myself and a coworker) and hopefully we can get them to price match at the original store I called.

Which store? Wouldn't mind a better mower!

let us know if you are successful or not... I find it hard that a clerk or store manager would overide a $300 price difference....
