Finally found my first truly hot deal at Home Depot: Ryobi D42K 3/8" drive drills, regular $29.97/clearance $7.55/after 10% discount $6.78. I found two on the clearance end cap and one randomly placed on a screw display in a nearby aisle. Reviews are good, so I figured I'd get one for myself, one for a friend, and one to either give as a gift or as a backup. I really don't foresee using them much, given how my cordless drills have spoiled me, but I figure that a corded drill is good to have. I picked up a Porter Cable 1/2" drill at Lowes a few days ago for 50% off, but it is quite a bit heavier and more unwieldy.

I have one or two more stores to check out this week, not to mention a tax return that will tempt me to buy more stuff I don't need. :)

Is home Depot clearance dead now. Because I just saw the price of Cordless ridgid nailer is up to $259 from $65 price and it's still on clearance. What happened. And ridgid Cordless shop can went from $19 back to $49. Wondering if the good times are over and seems very deep clearance shopping is few and far or just useless stuff.

Different stores, different prices.

I am hunting a few items currently and 1 of the 3 stores I visited yesterday doesn't even have it on clearance, 2 of the have it on clearance at ~10% off, and I hear reports of people finding them in other areas for 75% off.

If you have a nearby store with a low price and another with the item you just need to do a return and rebuy.

Tried giftcardzen this morning, got my gift card emailed in about two minutes, then used it a couple of hours later. Found Bessey bar clamps: pack of two 6" and two 12" for $10, otherwise not much at the store I went to.

I wish Home Depot did a percentage off, or had those 10 off 50, 15 off 50 codes like Lowes...so much more stuff at Home Depot that I prefer and like than what's available at Lowes.

Lowes does rock with the coupon codes compared to HD. I will say Home Depot was burned by coupon codes before. They were dumb as set up codes with no minimum purchases and stuff like that. The problem is HD has Makita and Milwaukee as exclusive brands where Lowes brands that are not nearly as good.

Yea if Lowes had Milwaukee I'd have a much bigger collection (or if HD had the coupon codes)

Lowes did carry Milwaukee till the TTI buyout after that they went exclusive to Home Depot. You can get Milwaukee at smaller outlets but for big box stores its HD exclusive.

As far as power tools are concerned HD does have some great specials running basically all the time now. Generally they far outweigh any $10-$25 off coupon.

I have purchased $369 (plus tax) worth of m12 tools from HD and received $199 worth of free tools. The only time I purchase elsewhere for Milwaukee is if I find some "daily deal" or closeout of an "older" model.

Impact driver and Hammer Drill kit -----> Free multitool

Fuel 3/8" impact wrench -----------> Free 3/8" ratchet

The free bare tool or battery promos are awesome it just becomes limiting when you you want a certain tool they don't offer a promo on, but in general I cannot complain about that.

I was able to use a Lowes promo code $15 off $50 on a DeWalt Tough System box using "Chat" on HD website. Only problem was I had to pay regular price then send my order # to the person I was chatting with and then she applied the discount.

Text chat was able to apply a 15 off 50 coupon for me as well, on a Milwaukee tool kit with the free bare tool last month. I just mentioned the code and they applied it before shipping.

doesn't hurt to ask "chat" on HD website for a discount. They offered a 10% discount to me but the problem is I couldn't do store pick up. They can only discount warehouse inventory according to the chat representative.

My home depot had some of the Makita 36v saws on the clearance shelf but they never reduced the price to anything worth wild. I will have to go and check now

My store regularly matches coupons from Ace and True Value for $5 off $25, $5 off $30 and $10 off $50. Sign up for things like "Ace Rewards" and some of these coupons just come in local coupon books and mailer packets.

I used a $10 True Value coupon the other day plus giftcardzen on 3 pallets of Quickrete, out the door at $1.92/bag for 60#'s, which included 8% sales tax. They're $1.98/bag right now on sale, at least in my area.

Curious, how many bags come on a pallet? What will you be pouring concrete for?

Pick up the last 6 of these today. Clearance at $5.04 ea. I'll probably keep an eye out to see if the price drops once more in their system before it disappears for a possible return/re-buy. If not it's still a good deal at $1/bag Item#: 1001-018-939

Picked up two sets today. FYI: Price dropped to $2.52 and probably penny next time if they are still around

56 bags per pallet. The funniest was the local Co-Op buying 3 pallets also to resell at $4.89/bag. They put all 3 pallets (about 11k lbs) on the back of a new-ish Dodge 3500 w flat bed LOL. It was sagging a little. As for use, let's just say fencing.

Must be a NorthEast thing :shocking:

He's in Mass. If the Pats taught us anything, it's that he should just pocket merchandise in the amount of the coupon they refuse to match. Cheating's ok as long as the end result is victory (and don't think there's not an entire generation of kids who haven't learned this from deflate-gate).

That's funny. I plan to pour a 8x20 patio soon and was about to go talk to a builder to see if they had a concrete truck coming to the neighborhood in the next month that was not going to be full and see if I could piggy back on that truck... with the low price at HD, I've considered just buying a HF mixer and doing it myself. The hard part about that is figuring out how to get that many bags back to my house.

Same price around here, picked three more up earlier. Also grabbed a Ryobi Clutch driver for $10; left a display on the shelf. Passed up a couple more D42 VSR drills at $7.55.

The scandals sure seem to find the Patriots. I highly doubt they're the only ones cheating though

Yeah, but what did it get on the way back?

The rating has more to do with suspension/braking/safety than the drivetrain surviving the haul.

That is a heck of a deal. I'm hoping that one of my local Home Depots has some for the same price.

cagullett1 is right, it is not the box condition. Store I was at today had about 4 of them, in perfect boxes for that price ($58). Picked up one. Thanks for the heads up cabfiveforty.

Sure enough, they had one in perfect condition for only $58 at my local HD. I thought I might have to hit a few stores, but I was able to find one at the first one I looked at. Thanks to cabfiveforty and cagullett1 for the information.
