You're right on that. I checked Somersworth as well.

Did you buy everything up? The Price Checker app says they still have 2 of 154622 & 4 of 958072. I couldn't find them anywhere, but I'm not sure how quickly their database reflects quantity changes.

In Rochester, all of these Toro and Ryobi trimmers were on a pallet on top in the aisle past where the trimmers are. They pulled the pallet down and laid it by receiving (between the lights section and the extension cords). They let me choose what I wanted so I grabbed 4 Ryobi's. I asked the employee how much the Toro's were, and he scanned it at .01 then said he couldn't sell it, but then he walked away so I threw one in my cart lol.

There was still a lot of Ryobi's left on the pallet. I'm not sure what they did with it, but their inventory was way off. Their inventory said they only had 1 of the curved shaft trimmers, but there were 6 on the pallet. Check around the receiving area, or maybe they put the pallet back up on the rack. You can't miss it if it's still there, a pallet loaded with Ryobi trimmers and old unboxed display models. I was tempted to go back and buy more. Hopefully they didn't bring them into the receiving room.

I'm pretty sure I saw where that pallet used to be up on the rack, but now it's nowhere to be found. They must have brought it out back into the receiving room. The only trimmers left outside of receiving are several non-relevant display models on one of those push carts. Thanks for trying though!

It's spring and time to fix up our trailers.

It doesn't show online, but my local HD has trailer light kits on clearance.

It shows on the in store inventory checker.

They are clearing out the Blazer brand and replacing with Reese.

Got these C6424 for $5.03 each (See attached photo below).

C6423 was $6.33

C7423 LED kit was $13.03

Individual lights and wiring also marked down.

Be nice to your HD associates.

I found a Makita 1/2 drill with charger and battery that was reduced to $25.

SKU 854267 XF D01WSP

Bob, my tool department guy had been looking for that one for himself.

I found it and it was a used return. Still had all the parts and I already have enough drills, so I told him to take it. He clapped me on the shoulder and hustled it into the back room.

I'm sure he will continue to tell me about the best clearance items, and help me find them, whenever I show up.

I was at HD this evening and I saw guy with a cart full of random stuff headed to SCO. I followed him to SCO and looked over his shoulder. EVERYTHING RANG UP AS 1 cent!!!!. There must have been over 50 items he scanned and the attendant didn't care. As he was walking walking out I tried to ask him how he did all that but he acted like he was on meth or something and said "no speak english" ...very strange.

That's not even a HD shopping cart... fishy

He might be doing some sort of UPC fraud most likely, or he just hunted down all the clearance deals in the store.

Dude looks like he has a bunch of Milwaukee stuff, who knows maybe an associate that he knows had separated all the stuff for him? Did you see him grabbing the stuff of the shelf yourself or were they already in the cart?

Definitely looks like a inside job. Probably his son works there and they are going to flip the penny deals.
Yu might as well cross that store or maybe surrounding stores off the list to shop for deals.

Is this something you can do from the Home Depot iPhone app?

There are various computers around Home Depot....in my local stores they are mostly in the appliance, lighting and flooring departments. They are usually on a swivel and arent really in a desk area like they are off limits to customers, mostly because they ARENT off limits to customers

If you move the mouse to get rid of the screen saver, you should see a screen that has various icons on it. The "Public" portion of the screen is in the upper left and one of the functions is Price Check. Double click it and then you can search for anything in the store. The resulting product list can be sorted by price low to high (this is what we do!) and you can filter it to show only clearance items (it works, but once you click a product the filter doesnt get re-applied when you go back to the list so you end up having to filter again)

Also note that most penny stuff is NOT listed as clearance, so filtering on clearance would hide those items. I usually just sort by price low to high and page through everything.

Now seems to be a fairly slow time for deals at HD....while there is plenty of stuff listed for a penny or on clearance, I have had zero luck finding most of it lately. This echoes my experience in years past where the best deals seemed to be after the holidays and before the warm weather (i.e. the last couple months)

I agree, but how do you explain the shopping cart? lol... Maybe the Home Depot is right next to a grocery store? Mine is right next to a Hannaford.

Quick note/reminder for anyone interested- this charges one battery at a time, not all 6 simultaneously.

A deal breaker for some, others could care less, but worth knowing about.

Should have asked him if he was interested in selling any of it and see what he said.

People have a hard enough time finding then purchasing 1 penny item much less a whole basket full.

Yeah, deals seem to be dead nowadays in home Depot. I haven't been looking at all.
It was good while it lasted. Hopefully another smoking deal will come up.

I spotted the guy just as he was walking to self checkout. I did not see him pick anything off the shelves. I am beginning to suspect that cart was prepared for him (inside job)

Even the old lady stocking the shelves may not give a **** about Milwaukee tools, but there is in NFW that she would let something like that hit the shelves. She would tell somebody, maybe the millwork dudes, that there are tools for Penny.

From what I have read any penny item brings up a warning on the store associates checkout terminal. Even then the self checkout person should have caught that. If it was an inside job why use another stores cart? That just brings attention to you. If I saw someone walking in my store with a cart that wasn't the stores I would have a closer look. It's just so weird that whole situation

Over the past 2 weeks I have picked up:

All Makita:

Joiner -$50
4 pc 18v kit (w/ 2 3.0amp batteries)-$88
18v x2 Circular saw $53
18v Compact Reciprocating saw -$25
18v Drill kit (with 1.5amp battery)-$25

Now this took a tremendous amount of searching and even more tremendous amount of time driving to all these stores on the way to and from work on my 90 mile one way commute. The deals are out there, they just might not be worth it once you factor in your time.

I worked a retail job in a strip mall at one time and it was common to see other stores carts in the store I worked in.

Also it was discussed last page that penny items only bring up an alert under certain conditions.

Anyone else's clearance counts drop dramatically? When I'd search Milwaukee & refine to clearance there were 38 or 39 (for my store). Today, 3. Same for Makita, 2 clearance items found in the Price Checker.

Noticed the same thing locally. Change can happen fast on the internet/intranet to stop the hemorrhaging that affects the bottom line. Nice while it lasted.

I found a bunch of different size Porter Cable 18G brad nails and staples for $2.00 (5000 count boxes). I got 1", 1.25", 1.5", 1.75". The "project packs" were also $2.00 (NS18PP and BN18PP)

Yep was going to post that myself.

Not sure if the Milwaukee stuff went off clearance or just disappeared from the computer altogether

Alert store security and explain what to the police? It rang up as one cent, he gave them a nickel and left. Is it against the law to not wait for a receipt?

He never said he scanned it. If it was a self checkout line why did he not pay there ?

Must have done away with the clearance pricing for stores that do not typically carry an item. That is what most of the Mikwaukee and Makita were anyway. That ***** but we knew it was coming.

In a way it could be a good thing if it simplifies the finding of the clearance products they do have.

Well shucks, I just called my Home Depot and that badboy ringing up at 199 with that SKU

I would check other nearby stores, only one of my 4-5 I go to had that price.

Also it is $199 on the website, I would bet they didn't even check the actual in store price. Most stores have had these on clearance for $179-189 for quite some time.
