I have the X4 impact driver with the 1.5 amp hour battery and this comes with 2 batteries. I think it is quite a deal and will be grabbing one.
OK I just found the 307 piece husky tool sets for $99 bucks .store had 3 in stock.![]()
The chip in the credit card is to mostly protect the retailers and banks. It is not to protect consumers. If they used chip & PIN, which is what they do in Europe, it would protect consumers. All it would mean is that you would have to enter a PIN for credit cards just like you do for debit cards now. And for that little bit the greedy credit card companies and banks pass on because it does not do anything to protect them.
Welcome to the USA. This was a completely braindead decision. I am not pro big government but this is what you get with free market - decisions based on greed. Why spend a little more and protect consumers? **** 'em.
Actually with the change over the merchant takes on the risk not the consumer. The rule is that if the merchant doesn't upgrade to the new devices then they assume the risk for eating the cost of a fraud transaction. The consumer is protected just like always.
The whole point is to cut down on in person fraud. If you look at Canada and Europe, once the EMV OR Chip and pin went in the in person fraud dropped to almost zip. Online fraud is what went up. Nature of the beast.
Just gotta try to stay ahead of the bad guys.
My HD has a bunch of nailers on clearance, but everything I looked up was only 10-20% off. They have a whole new nailer display set up. I also found a 3 piece HDX nailer set from spring Black Friday on clearance, but only $4 off. I'll be keeping my eye on it.
I went to my store last night....Clearance area was completely bare. Even the stuff that was 8 months old didn't ring up a penny....I found something that was 2 years old sitting there, and it rang up normal. Also, none of the computers in the store are usable by customers. There were plenty of them that had the news, ebay, and the like up on their screen with no one sitting there, but I figured it wasn't worth the hassle.
Same thing here in Bakersfield.Just noticed in my local HD today that they have changed the brand they are carrying for measurement tools. Clearance section was PACKED with the old brand stuff. Speed squares, levels, angle finders, protractors, you name it. Snagged up a few spares for some stuff and a few things I didn't already have on hand like a post level.

I found a bunch of different size Porter Cable 18G brad nails and staples for $2.00 (5000 count boxes). I got 1", 1.25", 1.5", 1.75". The "project packs" were also $2.00 (NS18PP and BN18PP)
If you were lucky enough to get the rolling cabinet for $30.03, and the top tool chest for $20.03 a couple of months ago, note that the matching intermediate tool chest has just dropped to $13.03. I bought two of them.
49.00 online. Is this a close out at your store?
HD clearance prices rarely show up on the public HD website. You have to walk into the physical location to see the discount on the shelf.
Thanks, I was able to price adjust a previous purchase and score an additional cabinet. If you were lucky enough to get the rolling cabinet for $30.03, and the top tool chest for $20.03 a couple of months ago, note that the matching intermediate tool chest has just dropped to $13.03. How do you pull up another store's price on an in-store computer? I have only been able to show another store's stock numbers, not the price.

And what good does it do to pull the other store's info up? Are you planning on driving over to the other store?
Rob, what store was this so I can pull it up on the HD computer? My store is still at $**.06, and I wouldn't mind a couple of these for keeping small hand tools and testers on my bench, and one for the mini-bench I plan on building my youngest.
There is. But neither Chris nor myself has ever gotten it to work.
Im here to declare that I ****...but WHY do I ****?

Haha, yea you kinda ****How does that happen that's not even that old of a product. Does it mean they are going to stock the fuel version?
Wow that doesn't get much better!
My local store will let stuff sit for Years and only drop the price by pennies off retail. There has to be 6 end caps full of **** that they won't discount.
That's a 5.5A corded model.
I keep on wanting to find a good SDS drill deal. I would prefer cordless over corded but either way would be nice.
