some stores went $80.03 and then a penny. I bought one yesterday - rang up a penny but they sold it to me at last clearance price. Already sold. This was in MD.

You got robbed by store manager or cashiers.....By law, they have to sell it to you for what the scanners scan at,,,,meaning a penny....
And if that's not the case....somebody posted an email from HD headquarters about this and they confirmed that stores should sell the items for penny...its just that its the store's fault for not taking it off the floor...

since you already paid... If I were you...I would call HD headquarters and tell them your experience and just maybe they could help you get your money back...or have it rerung at the same store under HD headquarter pressure ofcourse...

If that were true, it will still ring up 2.52 even if the tag hasn't been changed.

Oh, I knew they would, and they did. That's why I thanked the lazy employees. If they'd done their job, people would have seen that $2.52 price, and they all would have been gone.

My HD finally lowered the price of their Paslode Nail & Fuel Combo packs to the "great deal" pricing.... So yes, I bought everything. $1,055.08 retail price bought for $56.00 out the door! That is the best I've ever done at HD where I live. If anyone needs photos of skews etc just let me know & I will post them.

Never ever let them do that. We (former) had days where they would give us SKUs of items that were clearance or discontinued, if we didn't remove them from the shelf at any given time they stood to be purchased by customers. The customer has the right to buy it at that price, NO MORE than what is listed. Just ask Rob lol.

Not sure if anyone knows, but clearance sections vary store to store. What may sell poorly in one place will sell greatly in another. The key is in YOUR store, that clearance section goes back a ways, dig back there for something that may interest you. If you get a price check and it shows up as anything other than sticker price, it is yours if you want it.

Do you have a pic of the receipt or screenshot of the price? Trying to get a price match at my local store.

Also, so you have a sku? I got 324353 off the box but it can't be found at other stores

Are you still looking in New Hampshire? I've only ever seen the roofing nailer for Hitachi around here. Some stores had the 2 nailer combo but those are long gone.

The Paslode Nails vary in length, shank diameter, & usage. At those prices, even if the nails aren't what you want, the fuel alone may be.

Ops, here's the second photo of Paslode deals:

I assume these fuel cells require special restrictions when shipping? (such as shipping li-ion batteries or any other hazmat/flammables)

Maybe i'll just make a post for anyone who wants the fuel cells free in the local area. I'm only interested in the nails. Gonna get a bunch of these after work.

More than likely all you need is to ship it via UPS or Fedex ground.

My USPS says that as long as anything with a Li-Ion battery is installed in the product, then you're fine to ship and hit "no" under hazardous materials at the checkout.

Was just in my local HD & told by the head mgr they "would not do ANY price matches with another HD store", he also said "the price is, what it is." This happened when I tried to get a deal on the Dewalt tool chest base I've been wanting to match the top. Which he sold to me for $63 a month ago. Someone must have kicked his dog or his wife's on his ascot! If anyone has an image of a great price for the Dewalt tool chest bottom, please, please post it. I would love to sneak a deal with an assistant mgr when the head mgr isn't here!

However, the tool dept mgr was clearancing more NAILS at $0.50 a box.

Clipped head framing nails is about all that's left around here. I wish I had a use for them.. nobody I know has a clipped head nailer.

That's true but you can only install one battery in the product. Usually they come with at least one more battery. I think the technical wording is "either installed in the product or in the original packaging". The last part there is what makes it reasonable. You can extrapolate that to mean "in the original case" of the tool, although I am not sure that is really what they mean.

In any event I bet that shipping rule is violated hundreds if not thousands of times a month just on ebay alone. If they check for it, it is spot-checking at best.

Just ordered 2 boxes of these nailers for $2 with free home shipping.

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Grip-Rit...-Framing-Nails-2000-per-Box-GRSP10D/100394350

Funny thing is, when you add them to your cart, they show up at full price. I had to talk to online help chat about it. They told me to place the order and they will honor the $2 price and credit the rest back. $72 - $68 credit = $4 for 2 boxes of clipped head framing nails.

Here's the chat:

Were you on the Home Depot Pro site or the regular site? I was on Pro.. not sure if that makes a difference. I know they give their Pro customers more deals.

I would argue that it is in fact NOT a pricing error. They have a lot of nails at the $1, $2, and $5 prices that are in fact ON CLEARANCE. This is one of the ones that they're clearancing out in the stores.

The only difference is, all of the rest are for store pickup only, meaning if your local stores don't have any left, you're screwed. (or nailed?).

Well, not that big of a deal I guess, unless you guys have a nailer that can actually use the nails. I don't lol.

Several boxes on nail gun nails were in a shopping cart in the air tools aisle at the Matthews, NC store this morning. Various sizes. Yellow sticker priced from $1 to $5 each, regularly $15 to $55 or so.

Yea got my order canceled yesterday by HD tried to get sone stainless steel nails, none in stock. Just ordered 6 boxed of 3" .120 nails hot dipped for 50 cents each lets see what happens. Funny thing is when I clicked and added 2 , 1, and 3 from different stores to attempt to order at once, it asked me if I rather go to one store and pick them up? even though they don't have them in stock online.:dunno: we will see.

It's worth the try for whatever you can find for store pickup, but 99% of the ones around me are inaccurate inventory counts.. stores called and cancelled because they are sold out and don't really have any left.
