The DS400 were still in the cardboard boxes? Where were they hiding them? In the tool corral rafters, or in the rafters in one of the other aisles?
How about your yellow tool chests? Did you find those in the shipping boxes or did you get floor models? In the tool corral area or in the other aisles?
My local store has the DS400 on display in the tool corral. Full retail price. I've looked high and low for the yellow tool chests. None of the stores around here have them, all gone. Interestingly, stores in the next state have lots of them in inventory. I'm wondering if they're regular price. It seems odd that one region would have them totally purged while another nearby region still lists them at full price.
As soon as I saw her walk away from the self checkout I walked up there and checked out myself and got out of there!
Quicker than 2 jiggles of a jackrabbit's ***. Nice score
by the way, how were the lollipops?
hey guys i found some 5 gallon buckets of glidden duo and premium paints from $23-30 while looking for tool chests at a home depot her in arizona. i have attached some of the pics i took. also if anyone comes across a clearance tag for the husky 41 inch tool chest (or really any husky tool chest) for the extremely low prices others have been spotting them for (below $399) can you please post it my local manager will match a clearance tag but not a receipt.
At my store they are still $75.06 will keep an eye out for that!
This an awesome saw found one in person today wanted to bring it home but had to resist. @ $200 like Oldgloryfirearms its the best most would likely ever find but even at the clearance price of $299 still a lot of saw for the price. Attached are the pics of the clearance tags if anyone needs them. Here is my little deal of the day Ridgid MS1290LZA. it was sitting in the middle of the isle in a cart. I had seen it there last week with another one just like it but this week there was one left as a worker walked by i asked him what deal was he said it was a display model. I asked him how much regulary $399 he said $299. I told him thanks as i walked away he asked my what it would take for me to buy it i said $200 bucks and the rest is history. think i got a pretty good deal.

I hit 10 stores today, stopping at every HD and Lowes in the area. I found several of the DS150 boxes but there was not a DS400 to be found. I bought a boatload of the same sized Ridgids using the TrueValue 40% coupons on the $39.00 MSRP box. Several cases of 50c nails, a nailer, quite a nice haul. Pics tomorrow.
I had a similar experience with not finding things that employees seem to have been holding back. I have identified many situations where closeout items have been "missing" or were incapable of being found, and remained at 1 item in inventory for quite some time. When they get down to **.03 pricing they magically disappear from inventory and the stock count goes to zero. I think that employees may be holding some items back for their buddies until they get to **.03 or 0.01 pricing.
Do you have a picture of the boxes that these shipped in?
Do you have pictures and sku?Just picked up two Milwaukee m18 multi tools 2626-20 for 30.03. Also found two Milwaukee bit sets 48-32-4401 for .01, went to self checkout and it threw a red flag. I was told I can't purchase them. After a short discussion they let me have one bit set for .01 but would not sell the other.

The boxes are usually a plain brown box; sometimes they same Dewalt on the side. In either case, they will have a sticker with a barcode on them. Find a manager, give them the SKU number of what you're looking for. They'll pull out their little handheld and punch it in; even if they are out of them in the computer, that handheld will have a special barcode number that you need to find the box. It will be on the top left of their handheld's screen. Once you have that number, you can go aisle to aisle looking to your heart's content at every brown box hoping to win the lottery![]()
what's this barcode you're talking about?
when I go looking up in the rafters, I just look at the SKU numbers that are on just about everything. If there's no SKU number, I try to locate the model number. Just about everything is gonna have at least one of those 2 pieces of information on it. If not, ask an associate to pull it down (or get a ladder and do it yourself, if you're brave).
If it's in a brown shipping box, it will have a barcode sticker on the side with a set of numbers separated by a dash. This is the instore barcode. It will be specific to that store's delivery. That's what they are looking at in their little handheld- Unopened shipping boxes will have these barcodes that are not the same as a part number, SKU, or model number of the specific item. In many cases if you look at those cardboard boxes, you will see people have handwritten the SKU or model number on the outside of the box to show the contents inside. If it is a new or lost shipment, it won't have anything handwritten on it. If it's lost somewhere in the store, the only way to find it is by that sticker barcode.
This is the first time I've read about this. Thanks for the info!
No prob. I found this out because my store showed 50 each of the 1 dollar sawzall blades from Diablo, but didn't show they were on the floor anywhere. When I asked a manager, he told me what I just told you, and gave me the barcode to look around the store for the missing box. Neither of us could find it, so my store has 100 Diablo blades in limbo.

Sorry if this has been discussed..I have done quite a bit of reading but could not find an answer.
I found an item in the clearance section (Milwaukee m12 driver) normally 159$ IIRC now 119.00$
This item does not show up in the price check app when sorting Milwaukee for clearance items. Is this common? Can anyone elaborate why this item is not in the system as clearance?
And since I am here...when the price check app list store QTY (for both thew store I am in and nearby ones) are these numbers accurate? I think I read a while ago talk of '0 in stock' and people find them. Is that correct? On the other hand if it says they are in stock should I be confident the item is hiding somewhere?
Thanks!
My Mom used to audit for RGIS. When she saw me going through HD with my shopping list she got a big laugh out of it. She thinks the way they handle inventory at HD is a joke. Every department has it's own wastebasket.
