Interesting that there are multiple SKUs in play for the 2204hd sprayers. I nabbed 6 this morning, nabbed two Hitachi nailers, several M18 tools. Notice the different SKU for the sprayers.

That's the upc on your receipt.

Btw - you **** for getting 6 for 18 bucs less than I paid for one!

I found a "no home" mixed box at my store filled with the small plastic containers of Grip Rite FN and DA finish nails. These are the same ones that I bought a month ago for $1 each. Scanned them and they were all back up to full price.

Why would they take them off clearance if they're not gonna stock anymore?

To prevent you from getting penny deals.

Spn, I found one of the Husky 52" chests with the LED and glass doors at $83.03 this morning in a Chicago suburb. It was a floor demo that they had reshrinkwrapped. It was hidden on it's side up in the nosebleeds with the bathtubs, probably by an employee waiting for it to penny out. It was missing the keys and had been kicked around a bit. The Husky case actually seemed kind of flimsy to me so I passed on it. The lowest they would discount because of condition and missing keys was $70. If anyone in the Chicago area wants in PM me.
How many stores are you able to get to in Chicago? I have three within an hour.
One is always spot free on clearance items. The other two are rare.

Let me know where you post the sprayers for sale, if you are.

So that is an ACTIVE-Non Clearance price. Will Lowes Match it?

Interesting, my lowes has that same model in stock. That's a legitimate price match. I don't see it happening, but per the wording on their price match policy, they have to.

I will have to check what my local HD has it at. They will pull some BS about "only price match local competitors"

Probably going to need more proof than a pic of a computer screen. But, I think if you hold strong, you can get at least 1.

Seen a whole pallet of dewalt miter saws today with that special buy logo on the side. The pallet was wrapped in plastic. Is there. A sale coming up?

Also scored 2 Bosch laser levels for .01 each!!!!! Still had the 82.06 stickers on them! :)

I wouldn't be surprised if those are the new 7 1/4" cordless. My store just put 'em out and they were on a pallet up high before. Red special buy markings.

All milwaukee M18 bare tools are full price at my local store. Only thing I've found are the Philips 2 pack 60 watt LED bulbs for $4.97, and I think that's normal price for that.

Nope they are the exact same saws (table and miter) as last time. Even have same sku but they are showing full price on the computer.

Could swear I read what upcoming sale it's for but I can't find it now. So keep an eye on them after that sale....maybe more $75 or less saws in our future.

The cordless ones are there too with a special red tag imprinted, but I've seen the same table and miter saw as last time for sure. It's pathetic but I know the skus by heart.

One of the nice things about living in a densely populated area (if there is such a thing) is that there are a Zillion stores in Chicago. You could get to every one of them if you were willing to spend the time doing it. Some guys who live in less urban areas talk about only being able to get to a HD store once a month. If they can only get to HD once a month then they aren't trying very hard. Some complain about having to drive 2 hours to get to 3 HD stores. It's the same here. It takes that long to get to 3 stores that are close together on the map but are separated by hours of congested traffic. It took me 12 hours to visit 6 new stores yesterday. Except for the sprayers the trip didn't pan out.

One is always spot free on clearance items. The other two are rare.
Same here. I have never bagged a single deal at my local HD store. Inventory is so well managed that there are no clearance items on the floor and no rafter deals. If I want to hunt then I have to drive to find a store that is not as organized.

The problem living in Chicago, where we have a zillion stores, is that we also have a zillion other people shopping in them. On a per capita basis the number of stores is not any higher here than anywhere else. So even though there are lots of stores, there are lots of people to pick them clean. I've never bagged a single deal in my local HD store. Not ever. It's hopeless. Inventory is so well managed that there are no clearance items ever, and no deals up in the rafters. The result is that I have to drive if I want to play the GJ hunter game.

Looking at the tag on the thread, it seems that I'm getting some hate from someone who thinks I'm taking all the deals. I've heard someone say that he can't hunt because he works 9 to 5. The truth is that I'm not getting any more or less than anyone else who puts in the time commitment. I just try harder than the whiner.

Agree with you 100%

I work too 50 hours a week on average with OT. Still find the time to get some deals. I was able to hit 8 stores in 6 hours last Saturday. Doesn't mean I plan to go every weekend. So if someone else gets stuff at the stores I visit then good for them. I hunt when I hunt, and when I don't want to I don't. And the Hell with all the hatters, who cares what they say.

I would but it would end up like this with irrelevant posts...

That's a lot of trouble, a simple post with item number, description and price is as simple as it gets.

Me too but if I miss a few days, it's almost impossible to find the latest deal without wading through every single post.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just wish there was a thread like that and then people could come to a thread like this to show and tell.

So, you want to do absolutely no work at all reading, yet only want to show up to snag the deals that the few of us that spend hours upon hours finding for you without giving anything back.... That seems legit.

^^ This.

I'll go one step farther -- sure, it takes time to sift through the posts, but if anyone is complaining about having to read posts to find deals then they're just effing LAZY. Some LAZY people want a roadmap to where they can find free tools without having to put any effort into finding them. Ain't gonna happen. :headshake

I think we've reached an all time low in terms of whining. Not only do we have LAZY guys who aren't willing to drive and whine about the success of those people who do drive, now we've got LAZY people who are whining that it takes too much time to read about where to find the deals!

Normal people spend time reading and driving to find deals. Lazy people want free lunches. Lazy whiners should :stfu:

No it doesn't mean they will be 0.01 but you can check as the odds are better than other random items.

Also today I see the Dewalt plastic boxes are on sale in Canada, 60$ or so for the big ones, the cart is like 200$. The big dewalt tops and bottoms are 700$ on a "special buy". Hopefully in a few months there will be a clearance.

I see 4 at my local store on HD.com. Does this mean they should ring up at .01? Going after work.

I saw something similar to this the other day with Dewalt Miter Saws. I was told that they were a "special buy" and would be available for sale sometime in August. The employees wouldn't get them off the top rack for me because they weren't available for sale yet. They showed active and $.01 in the system. I assume when they hit the date of availability the price is set to whatever the special buy is.

They did the same thing with the Ryobi 2 pack 18v batteries, back in stock with the same model and sku.

Kinda weird they clearance something out and pick it back up a couple months later but I'm not complaining.

Then keep going back at different times and talk to different employees. One of them will get it down for you.

You in Lafayette?

Those stores always have the good clearance inventory in high quantities.

Most the time I pull up inventory on a deal all the local stores are zeroed out and the Lafayette store has multiples.

Have you considered a pawn shop? Some carry a lot of tools and may buy a few boxes from you.

Nope.. thanks for the tip! I'll check it out.. 1 of the 4 pawn shops in town only deals with tools.

The less I have to deal with Paypal fees, the better..

I'll throw the offer out again, I've got a couple of 18ga Bostitch nailers, a Bostitch Strapshot, and a lightly used M12 Fuel impact driver that I'd love to swap for a couple of the DS150's or DS400's.

And the Ryobi 2-packs are back on "clearance" again in my store $89. Probably just keep dropping, just like after BF

i would contact local contractors and see if they are interested. they would use more than normal so you could unload a lot at one time.

Made a little spreadsheet for my phone to track sku's descriptions and prices at each store local to me.
