how are you shipping these? I might be interested in buying some.

Bostitch 3" x .120" Wire Weld Framing Nails S10D-FH
These ones I can fit 2 in a large flat rate box $17.90 shipping cost. They might fit in a medium flat rate box $12.65 shipping (not sure about that, it might be tight).

Those are the only ones I have that will fit in flat rates. Everything else would be too expensive to ship.

I'd prefer not to ship these though. Pain in the *** lol.

I just called my local store about those nails.. they have 7 in stock for $29.98.

Do I need a receipt for a store return? lol

I could just imagine returning 148 of these for $4437 store credit

Edit: haha just found this on their site: Returns made without a valid sales receipt or an expired receipt may be exchanged or refunded to a Home Depot store credit or a Home Depot Commercial Account for the lowest advertised price

I bet they have a maximum amount they'd refund though. Maybe I'll try it with 10 boxes.
I'm pretty sure that's fraud. So you might not want to talk about doing that in a public forum.

Although I'm sure you were "joking", right? ;)

lol I don't think I could manage to do that. But I am gonna take up the tip on the pawn stores and local contractors.

I wouldn't want to get myself banned from my favorite store.

The saws are back for some upcoming sale. Not sure when it starts.

Did the ones you see have the red "special value" tag imprinted on the box?

I imagine once they dont sell during the sale (again) we'll start seeing price drops.

Im starting to see price drops on the Ryobi 18V twin pack again. Down to 89 in some stores.

917666?

Every store here has them listed online for $399. What am I missing?

Home Depot is just bringing them back now but at full price. They also brought back the Dewalt drill kit for $200 that we were getting for $50 bucks awhile back.

"Sorry I thought they were a penny. You can put them back up on the rafters now"
lol the employee must have been pissed.

I get employees that roll there eyes just because I ask them to scan something up high with their handheld that doesn't have a SKU sticker on it. I even drag the big orange ladder over for them. Tough ******* work huh?

So that is an ACTIVE-Non Clearance price. Will Lowes Match it?

No. Not for me, anyway. The "out" for the price match is that the merchandise has to be in-stock, and the on-hand quantity in the picture says zero. It didn't matter that 4 were on-order, merchandise has to be on-hand. The other problem was that my Lowes had zero in stock.

No luck for me. Even a Lowes zone manager that I've known for years laughed and said no way. Didn't mention the on hand quantity. I casually pushed but he claimed the official policy is at a stores discretion.

Out the door at $19.47. So glad I found out how to use the "contractor" computer at Home Depot. Thanks redfordtruck. I learned a lot from the people on this thread.

So quantity available on the computer wasn't accurate for the two stores I checked today. The first one said one and they didn't have any. The second store said two and they only had one. I'am sure other people have this issue? There was a nice makita say for $20 I couldn't find.

Isn't that the 500 ft-lb husky impact that won't remove a lugnut tightened to 120 ft-lb?

Was the equipment behind it disclosed? Those ratings can vary widely depending on what CFM and PSI is powering it

Meh. That matters for some things, peak impact power? Not really.

I used an Earthquake 1/2" impact on a borrowed pancake compressor to remove ring gear bolts and it did fine for the two impacts it fired off before the tank was empty. A minute or so in between refills, but in a pinch, it did it's job.

that's right -- PSI matters but CFM is meaningless when the tank is full -- the air in the tank does the work, the compressor only refills it. :)

Yeah Chris, I'm 99% certain that they had that tag on them. There was two on the floor in the middle aisle, the one that's parallel to the front of the store.

Yes, that is what we are all trying to figure out. cheesiepoof's post is the one I quoted. Please read it, then read mine, and hopefully it will all make sense to you. I even bolded the important part.

It's not the same model number saw anyway. The ones they have now are DWS709. The ones last time around were DWS782.

I understand it just fine. Makes perfect sense. I don't have to re-read anything. The reason why it's coming up 1 cent is because that is the same SKU that was used for the Dws782 model which is still coming up in the system from the last saw. They kept the same SKU and changed the model number.

I don't understand why they do that. With the old 6-digit SKU they were limited to 1,000,000 different stock items, but with the new 10-digit SKU they can have 10 billion unique stock items. Now that they've got 10 billion possible SKU, why in the hell are they recycling them? Makes no sense.

If CFM is so meaningless, why do compressors have list CFM @ PSI ratings? Or better yet, why do the top automotive tool brands list minimum requirements for operating PSI, CFM, etc?

Went to HD after work and there were 4 of the Dewalt reciprocating saws on the shelf. I pulled up the price checker app on an HD computer and it was regular price. What am I missing?

They did the same thing with sku 1000-714-832 which is selling for $200 right now. This was the same kit that dropped to $50.02 i think awhile back.

CFM isn't meaningless. The PSI in the tank is the critical part for power with an impact wrench. CFM is the rate that the compressor can refill the tank.

If you have a 2 gal tank at 150 psi with a low CFM rating you may loosen two bolts before you run out of air and have to wait for it to refill. The compressor will run almost continuously.

With a 30 gal tank at 150 psi and a higher CFM rating, you can use the impact almost continuously. With the larger volume the pressure drops more slowly and with the higher CFM rating the compressor can refill it more quickly and run less often.
