I don't know how to make it any clearer. It is not coming up a penny. It reportedly did for one person, but no one else.

Except that is the exact same item. Same SKU, same model #, same everything. The Dewalt saw is a different model.

You stated that if you were missing something. I replied with what I said because you were replying to someone who said that they saw it for a penny. No need to quote them as well because I was just replying to you, not them. Everyone else got it. I don't know how to make it any clearer to you. Who cares about the model number. Its the sku that is causing the confusion because it is also tied to that model number (DWS709). When that member looked up the sku he was probably seeing the price for the DWS782 model. Home Depots system must have updated because they are already selling the new model (DWS709) which is why no one is probably seeing the penny price anymore.

Got my first .01 deal today. Found two of the backpack sprayers. One up top on the rafters and the other behind a SOLO sprayer. When they got the one down from the rafters for me, it had a "Spring Black Friday" sign on it expiring in April of this year I believe.

Congrats and welcome to the forum. I haven't been able to find any penny items yet. Hopefully soon.

Anyone seen this drop in price recently? I know my store drops the prices after most places have been lower for a while.

I found one penny item once that a store actually had in stock. It was the husky pro bag that came with a free bag as well. Manager would not sell them and told me that once an item reaches a penny Home Depot no longer owns the product which is why they can't sell it. That was the best line I have heard yet.

If CFM is so meaningless, ...

That isn't even close to what I said, it's a fragment of my qualified statement. No wonder it makes no sense to you -- you can't read. :bitchslap
PSI matters but CFM is meaningless when the tank is full
This is actually a simple physics problem about how much potential energy is stored in an air tank.

Jetta gets it.

Out the door at $19.47. So glad I found out how to use the "contractor" computer at Home Depot. Thanks redfordtruck. I learned a lot from the people on this thread.

So quantity available on the computer wasn't accurate for the two stores I checked today. The first one said one and they didn't have any. The second store said two and they only had one. I'am sure other people have this issue? There was a nice makita say for $20 I couldn't find.

Odd M18 multifunction tool prices: Two days ago my nearby HD showed the tool at $.01, but none in stock. Another store on the same day had them in stock at full price. Today I went back to my nearby HD and they had several of the tools in stock. Price check showed them at full price--what? :headscrat

I'm in a neck brace from pricing whiplash.

I was watching this item in 3 stores near me waiting for the next price drop. They were all at 60.06 at the time. As soon as someone here posted about them being $20 I went to all 3 stores and none to be found.... Apparently the stores around me are on top of things.

What is the sku or model number of the Bosch laser level people are finding cheap? Maybe a pic of the box if nothing else. I did a search but couldn't come up with this info. The only HD close to me has some Bosch levels up in the rafters, want to make sure these are the right levels before asking them to pull it down. I have spent a lot of time on the HD computers. Haven't found a bargain yet!

GLL2-10 is the model number. Check my eBay link in my sig, got one posted (although the box is pretty beat up).

Interesting. They just brought those in. Was that a large or smaller store.

Average size I guess... all the stores around here are about the same size.

Funny thing is, I don't think my store actually stocked these. I'll have to check the tabs on the Price Check app to see when the last time was they received these. I don't think they ever did. They also list the Makita roofing nailer and a few other nailers on clearance, but they never had these to begin with.

This is why I like Lowes. Once a clearance item reaches level 4 or 5, management can mark it down to 10% of the original MSRP. In fact, they are encouraged to in order to get rid of it. If a clearance item is still stocked at the end of each quarter, they are penalized. Some stores are better than others because of their margins. Luckily, the stores around me all have excellent margins and I've developed great rapport over the years. Last night I bought three $30 sheets of Aluminum diamond plate for $2.00 each.

I don't really need it... just hoping to maybe get my first penny deal on one if I could find one local. I went to the store after hearing they dropped to $20 to see if my stores dropped them as well and they were gone. Thanks for the offer.

So I found a store that the some employees don't seem to care about $0.01 items. Was checking out at self checkout and a cashier came up and had to check my tough box to make sure I didn't hide anything in it RIGHT after I scanned it. She saw the screen and the bright yellow outline over the $0.01 line item, and didn't blink an eye. I've seen this woman there for years. Her bright fire red dread locks are very recognizable.

44 cents each for everything here, except the impact gun. The Hitachi staples ended up being free, rang up as a penny but she voided it.
Brad nails anyone? lol

All of those Porter Cable are brad nails. There was a small stand set up in the back of the store in the doors aisle with all the brad nails. The stickers on it said full price, so I checked some of the SKUs in price check, and surely enough they were 44 cents.

Seems like every store around here has 1 Milwaukee M18 item as a penny and still "active", although they are all out of stock. Each store has a different item.

I had to pick up my 58 boxes at the shipping depot as they wouldn't have been able to get a truck turned around in our court. Not that I'm complaining at the price.

Yeah, I was expecting to have to unload so I was pleasantly surprised when the lift truck showed up!
