Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or is that pallet rack sagging in the middle from all of the weight in those DeWalt boxes?

Yea I think it's sagging I have the same ones, rack system that is and I had to move all of the nails I purchased to the corners so it would sag. They are good racks but can't expect them to hold too much weight.

Thats a great looking set up with those Dewalt boxes.

Saving my money for a matching Husky 52 inch tool chest.

I think that too many people fail to understand that what you're describing is the rule and not the exception. Everyone wants to think that finding deals is easy. It isn't. It takes lots of time and lots of effort.

Stores with good prices and no inventory is the situation that I have to deal with every day. Stores that have deals don't have inventory and stores that have inventory don't have deals. And when you think you're lucky and find a deal like this one, it turns out to be a false positive -- the price-check at the pro desk says that it's on sale but the registers ring it up at full price:

attachment.php

It's not like there's low hanging fruit out there for any of us to just walk up and take. It takes a LOT of effort to find the deals, and I can tell you from experience that you have to put in a lot of effort to find any deals. more often than not any trip that I make is unsuccessful.

The funny thing about this thread is that everyone posts their success stories, but most of us don't talk at length about our failures. I don't talk about my failures because I don't want to bore everyone with the monotonous details about how I spend 12 hours in a car and come home empty handed. You don't want to read about that stuff, so it never gets posted. But on a day when I spend 12 hours in a car and come home with 6 penny sprayers, I'm stupid enough to brag about it. What's the result? Some ******* comes out of left field and accuses me of being a Slick Deals Creep just because I'm doing something that he can't do or won't do. In his mind, anyone who is not like him is a jerk.

Many people who are the best at finding deals will not discuss them in this thread any more -- primarily because we're tired of being verbally abused by a dog that can't hunt.

I get it... I was just asking if anyone had one or two of the grinders to sell. After all, isn't that what a lot of guys do.... buy and resell? I've never thought there was anything wrong with that. As a contributor to this thread, and many other threads on here, don't misperceive this response as an apology, if my inquiry offended you.

I FULLY understand your frustration with all the folks asking for your input and direction, but constantly being negative with long-winded condescending retorts towards people about it, is kinda' like... being the Al Sharpton of the Home Depot thread. It makes people not want to talk with you... similar to the motivation for this response.

If you do have any of the grinders... keep 'em. You know what you can do with them.

There. I'm done.

Member socoj2 I sent you some pm's about the impact wrench. Did you still want it?

If not does anyone else want one of those 20.03 husky impacts before I return it?

They're prepping for inventory at a few stores by me. Everything is pristine. Makes it easy to search but I think associates have already pulled down all the clearance.
I was told by management by August everything should be accurate. Yes, some stores already did their inventory while others are in the process.

Just FYI...
Local store just went penny status on all of these $**.03 level items. I had good luck at the .03 level. I stopped in yesterday morning and it was all cleared out and not showing on the computer anymore. I was able to find 1 of the Milwaukee circular saws just sitting there on the shelf. Took it to the register where it rang up a penny. After a very brief discussion they let me leave with a free saw. I had a conversation with the tool guy I've made friends with while shopping there an he said it would make me sick to see what all they throw away... so sad.

What does it mean if the price check on the computer says it is a penny, but then it rings up as full price? Found a DeWalt Wet/Dry vac (cordless) for a penny on the price check app, but it rang up full price at the checkout!

Went to another store this morning. No deals to be had. The only .03 item was the desalt cordless grinder at $25.03 but none in stock. Did find some tool box tray liner material at 9.03 with a tag date of a few months ago, but it was still that price at SCO. All the Mileaukee stuff is full price around here. This store didn't have any of the husky jack and jack stand kits.

Price check app is overruled. They will price it for what it rings up at.

Hey may have tied the UPC code on that to a different SKU number. I noticed this happening with a lot of old model Ryobi and Ridgid products

Ryan, just to be clear are you allowing comments/questions about said deals, or is this just going to turn into a strictly deals posting thread?

Thank you. That should straighten things up in here now. Was getting frustrating to hear all the negativity, and straying off topic.

Went to my local HD today and saw a whole lot more organization and neater tool area than just a couple days ago. Also saw a lot of Milwaukee stuff marked down, since two days ago, too.

I don;t know about anyone else, but I just love these knives. Well-balanced, well made and fit in your hand good. Picked up a couple of these...

photo14%20Small_zpshlsrmypu.jpg

Nothing on this display, that I didn't already have, or need. And they still have a lot of the M12 screw-driver/impact kits for $79.

photo15%20Small_zpso6bumjpn.jpg

But found these, and the shelf was marked $59 each. Not the lowest I've heard about these going for, but certainly better than the $109 they normally retail. Funny thing is, they weren't there two days ago. And I really need a couple of them, so why not, right?

I take them to the cashier (the SCO aisles were all closed... weird). And she rings them up and they were $109. I told her the shelf they were on, was marked $59 each. So we went back there and she had the guy in the tool department met me there. He pulled the decal off the shelf, and took it to the register. He figured that they must have been mislocated on the shelf, because the $59 shelf decal was for one of the corded versions. So I figured oh well, I'll pass. He said he's noticed how often I'm in there, and he gave them to me for the $59 each! Scored a great, and honest discount! Great customer service, because I would have never expected them to honor the mistake.

Just got another 27" Husky intermediate chest and a Ridgid 6 gallon stainless shopvac for a penny each. I sold the intermediate chest right out in the parking lot for $10. They have 1 more chest, I'll get it tomorrow. They were watching me like a hawk.

Last store today had the desalt grinders for 25.03 showed 2 in stock but couldn't find them. Also had the previously mentioned impact with none in stock. Other than that that's it. Hardly anything on clearance around the store. They only had one "clearance" section with hardly anything it it.

I'll have to head in to my local one and see if the Milwaukee knives are on clearance here too. I've looked at them before and was interested but not sure how good they really were. Sounds like they're a good buy! Also that's awesome that you got a friendly deal for being a valued customer of Home Depot. That's the kind of thing that keeps people coming back. Now I just wish my local store would also put that M12 set down to 79$. I keep checking back and hoping because it's an in to the whole system since it comes with the dual charger. Maybe I'll head on over there this afternoon and see what happens.

That was Newington if u want the other chest. It's stacked on top by all the tool bags

What does it look like?

Edit, never mind, just looked online. I have been looking for another tool box. What is the sku? I think I will go get it if you don't mind. It must not be in the computer anymore as I didn't see it listed yesterday. Or maybe I didn't search for boxes, I can't remember....

I went to some stores I had never been to today.

I found my toolbox and grinder. I didn't let the toolbox out of my site. Drove the truck today. I learned my lesson from the tool guy screwing me last time. The 13th store was the lucky one.

I call this work. I probably have drove 400 miles and spent ~ 18 hours. I'm happy I did it, but anyone that thinks this shouldn't take any work is wrong.

Now im setting my iPad down to go put that toolbox together.

If anyone can get there hands on one of these M18 Fuel Circular saws I will make it worth your time. I also have some really good stuff to trade.

That was the best part it was the $.02 prices. I can't stop smiling about it.

They had one of each. It took me 15-20 min searching the rafters to find them. The top and bottom were not together either.

Picked up a Bessey Vacuum Base Swivel Vise for $9.90, was $29.97. SKU: 039-411

It seems pretty sturdy considering it mounts via suction. It has rubber grip pads on the jaws and will be perfect for working on guns. I had been looking at an AR-15 Vise block but this will be more versatile. I'm going to try it out and maybe go back for another.

I sent a pm.

I feel like a kid at Christmas. I was beginning to think I wasn't going to find a grinder too but I lucked up. It was hidden. My gut says the tool guy had it hidden.

Husky black 2 drawer intermediate tool chest. In a red/white box. If you are looking at all the husky tool bags, to the right of that you'll see the hard Ridgid cases. Just to the right of the Ridgid cases, look up.

Thanks! Was it in the computer, or did you just know to look for it?

They had 14 here and they rang up 9.** and the price on the sticker was 12 or 14.**

I showed them the computer in the store and they said no, they are what the register says they are, there is a problem with the computer. Most stores by me show that price and also show 24 on order.

The other style folds in half.
