Well if you happen to go back, check what the screen says on self checkout. I bet it says X5. If that's the case, I would complain and try to get it at the last clearance price of the X4, which should be $20.03 or $25.03.

In NH, the Consumer Protection Act prohibits stores for substituting one product for what is really advertised. You are clearly not buying the X5.

I found a Ridgid impact 'tool only' (model# R86010B) yesterday. Price check app had it listed for a penny.

The UPC on the box (one printed by Ridgid) rang up for 139.00. A yellow HD sticker on the box marked as 139.00 rang up for 139.00.

Another HD label on the box (large white one with peel off barcodes) rang up as a penny.

**** is screwed up...and I didn't feel like dealing with the mgr so I put it back.

I agree. I bought one today to replace our aging Sunbeam, but it's not a high end grill by any means. Still, for $99 I'm willing to try. Yeah, the lid is thin and the knobs feel cheap.

Everything on it looks crossed out, except for the Command and No Home writing.

My guess its a box full of the Command hooks/adhesives that were pennied out. Probably no SKU on it because its various Command items.

Well went back for the penny deal, manager wouldn't honor the price. Called HD phone number. They wouldn't honor either. They called it a system glitch.

The X4 stuff is full price at the stores around me. The stores outside the metro area have them at the $25-30 dollar range, but zero stock. Yes, I am stalking them. :) I want to switch from Dewalt 18v and 'need' a grinder, recip saw, and circular saw.

If anyone has a Milwaukee m18 grinder or saw they bought from Home Depot I might be interested in buying... My local stores lol @ me when I ask to match clearance price. Obviously I am willing to pay more for your troubles.

Re that milwaukee stuff - a couple months ago a lot of Milwaukee tools went on clearance at some stores while remaining full price at others.

I think what you see in the pic of the penny SDS drill is a store that never stocked it. If you went to a store that normally stocks it, it would show up as full price (like metalart is seeing)

I have a feeling it was an attempt at making sure stores that shouldnt be carrying it clear out their inventory. Around me, the only stores that have the heavier duty tools (think cordless bandsaw, cordless SDS drills, etc) are the busier stores that get a ton of contractor traffic, and those items are full price.

The smaller stores that are closer to me never stocked those items and they are also clearanced/pennied out in the system. I was never able to find any of them at those stores (I did get a corded one for a penny, it looked like it was returned, probably after being purchased at one of the bigger stores)

It's 1000-049-715 that's why it won't come up probably. I think regular price is $189. Where are you located?

I don't think they will let you rebuy for a penny. Unless maybe you can convince the return person that you will be extremely nice and go put the item back on the shelf for them :thumbup:

Consider yourself very lucky.

I was given grief just trying to get a price adjustment on an item that went on clearance after I bought it.

I could only imagine what they would do if it had dropped to a penny.

Won't pull up on HD pro app. What model is this. Sorry I am in a water park now. Guess I will stop on way back and get them.

The manager actually adjusted 5 milwaukee saws to a penny at the same time. Refunded my $150 abd Sikhs then back for a nickel. Didn't take much more than reminding him of the 30 day price match guarantee.
