Hit a couple stores today. At my closest store, the customer computer was down (it's been powered off for a couple weeks - some type of issue). They usually let me hop behind the customer service counter, but this time invited me to a little lounge behind customer service (employee schedules on the walls, etc. Not a public lounge). Thought it was a bit strange, but they've always been very accomodating.

Anyway, found a couple deals that I don't recall being mentioned. I was looking for a replacement shower/tub faucet and found a couple of these guys - SKU 1000902125. Pretty nice set in brushed stainless and marked down from $99 to $25.03. I found 3 of them on the plumbing 'clearance' rack along with a slightly different model. Here's a link to the product on the website - http://www.homedepot.com/p/Pfister-Universal-1-Handle-Transitional-Tub-and-Shower-Faucet-Trim-Kit-in-Brushed-Stainless-Steel-Valve-Not-Included-R90-TN2K/203471274?keyword=r90-tn2k

Also, found a couple other deals via the computer, but no stock around me.

- Milwaukee 29pc Driving Set, SKU 501207, $4.53 (SKU doesn't resolve on homedepot.com, but the part number is 48-32-4401)

- Husky 22in Pro Grade Rolling Tote with Bonus Bag, SKU 1000053039, $27.03

None of the mentioned power tools appear to be on clearance around here other than first stage clearance on some driver/impact combo Milwaukee stuff. The Ridgid X4 is still full price, and the Milwaukee M18 circ and multi-tool are still full price and in stock.

Additionally this store STILL has DS150 and DS400 containers, and still has them at full price.

Anyway, happy hunting!

Saw that at a store that didn't stock it.

I saw those faucets last night too. $25.03 did seem like a decent price. They had a few of them as well. Should get 3 to do my bathrooms.

just to be clear these are just kits to freshen up the look. they don't actually replace the parts in the wall, etc. Sounds like a good idea.

Just looking for the opinion of a more experienced member..

Local HD has had the Milwaukee 4.0s at $79 although they weren't in the computer at that price.

They're know in the computer under clearance tag for $79.00 - does that mean they're now on the official clearance schedule and should receive further marking down in the near future?

If in doubt, buy now. Got 90 days to return unused or adjustment

That's what I thought, but I'm already back home. Might have to stop back in a couple of days and grab a couple.

Thanks

I also saw a few of those grip rite framing nailers in stock for the $48 clearance price – but couldn't pull the trigger because some of the reviews I read on Home Depot and Amazon.

Thoughts anyone?

$48 not a bad price - but $48 spent on cheap garbage, might as well flush it haha.

Found 1 of these in Merrimack, NH. Scanned up $139. Description on SCO monitor just said "cordless impact". Same thing everyone is is running into. They must have tied the UPC code to the newer X5 model.

Londonderry NH had 1 top and 1 bottom Dewalt 39" chest and cabinet in stock, although I didn't actually walk around to verify. $180 for the top, and I think $360 for the bottom.

$48 = $150 on eBay.

Londonderry NH. If anyone has more time than I did to go hunting for these. They were not in the nailer isle, tool section, or tool clearance section. Associates didn't want to help look for them either.

I question the 1 in stock. Stores I went to yesterday had 1 "in stock" of the nailers but empty cases. I wonder if somewhere along the lines someone inventoried empty cases for display models.

This is the nailer that was $99 at two stores yesterday. I should have probably bought them and thrown them on eBay.

Find another one of those shop lights and I'll buy it off you!

In stock means nothing.

I bought stuff that shows minus 1 in stock.

Looked for two Dyson today that said in stock at a store that weren't. Grills too.

I changed how I think about HD closeouts. I think they want people to hunt and find the misplaced, computer error items. It's not like they are restocking these items and selling them at closeout prices. They probably don't like the .01 items, but they get a lot more by people buying closeout items than throwing them away or donating them.

I was on a long car ride with the wife yesterday. Somehow, the conversation got around to this thread on GJ. After I mentioned the Home Depot 1 cent deal, she says "I bet that's why they wouldn't let me buy that Milwaukee Cordless Drill for you for Christmas last year. They made me give it back to them and I had to go get a different model, but they gave me a discount on it."

I think if she had been aware of this and gone through self checkout, I might have gotten a 1 cent cordless drill for Christmas!

I went to HD about 3 weeks ago looking for my first closeout I needed, the Dewalt DS boxes, I found 4 of each and two saws and a nailer and the aa batteries. I added a nailer or two since them. I have two stores that are close and just planned and checking them every so often, but the wife was busy this morning so I went a ways away. Was planning a 4 store trip but turned into 6. Found something at all but one. The one I didn't has a mgr or employee that must be up to something. Again while checking the computer it was on a closed system and had no reports of stock on hand elsewhere. Nothing in that store again. Computer said a few things but they were no where.

Saw the Milwaukee box tops for 199.00 and bases from 349.00-399.00.
Didn't see the gloves
Grills were not on hand
Half the stores showed Dewalt roofing nailers in stock but none were there
No stacks of penny sprayers or DS boxes or anything like that though

Found items the computer said were zero on hand and -1 on hand, couldn't find some items when they said 3 on hand. Asking an employee to help find anything is always worthless. I don't even want them to help me climb the ladder to get stuff.

Wish I could have found the old 18v dewalt cut out was 25.03 closeout at some places.

Nailers were weird, no rhyme or reason why one store would closeout the Bostitch and Paslode and others wouldn't.

Found nails at one store, only one with rental sections. 4.32 for boxes of 1000 any size Hitachi. Certainly no .50 deals unfortunately.

A lot of f'ing driving and sweating for not a lot. While I do like the fun if it, it isn't for me. I'll just stay by my two stores and watch items there and post here if I see anything.

Didn't realize the F28WW was on clearance? All full price here. I could go for one of the finish nailers but all out of stock here.

Found this Klein 5 piece tool and test kit, with d213-9ne 9 inch side cutter, 5 in 1, wire strippers, voltage tester and canvas bag for $37.99. I thought was pretty good deal.

^ ^ ^ You all need to add WHERE you are finding these scores . . at least state.

Would be helpful overall anyway to Update GJ Profile with LOCATION.

What's up with item numbers on F28WW?

An idiot at SCO tried to rip off the sku label after I already paid for it. I told him to stop, because I may be returning it.

It looks like 225884 is lowes item number

Is it a Bostitch product number Lowe's just happen to match in their sysytem or was this gun purchased at Lowe's returned to HD?

Or did Bostitch got their inventory back from Lowe's and sold it to HD? Or maybe HD buys from Lowe's direct? (Lowes.com doesn't stock these any longer. So it's make sense, kind of..)

Does anyone else have this label? It rang up correctly, matching 377457 in their price check

Lowes sells a different (but similar) model. Lowes SKU 424046, model LPF28WW. Same thing just low profile

225884 doesn't bring up anything on either the HD or Lowes website

Edit: Google search of "lowes 225884" pulls up the F28WW nailer lol. No longer available though

I'm sure it was just a customer return, brought it back to the wrong store

So, what do you think has happened? Was it a Lowe's gun that ended up at HD and if so, how did it get there?

2 guns? :)

Actually, it may make sense - Lowe's may have clearanced them earlier, so someone must have committed a crime. Damn, I hate these people, and that SCO fellow was not an idiot after all. But I'm worried now, in case I decide to return it. Also, if this is common, I better check the boxes to make sure the gun is there an not a brick :)

There's also a label with HD item number. Do we know who attaches this label, the store or the warehouse? IF the store, then you may be correct, if warehouse, then maybe everything is clean here.

Thanks

P.S. can someone with the same model please compare the SKU and check if there's a label on top?

It was a Lowes item returned to HD. Anyway, why does any of that matter? Did you pay full price or clearance? It's the same item regardless of where it came from. Is it really illegal to return an item from one store to a different store who carries the exact same item? I wouldn't think so. It's not like the item was altered at all.

I paid clearance price, but if I need to return this thing back, I don't want to have issues. Also, I just checked another gun purchased at another store - same deal - item 99301 belongs to lowes

HD is stupid for taking returns when item number on the box doesn't match. Unless, these are not HD returns, but Lowe's nailers went to HD through the manufacturer.

So nobody else have this mismatch on their boxes?

P.S. and I just answered my own question - hd stores are putting labels with item numbers. The label on this pic is covering "No" writing.

Just save your receipt in case you have to return it. I wouldn't think they would give you a hassle since it is an item they stock (well, clearancing out)
