Ya. I went to Hampton on Friday, nothing to be had.

Saw a Jackstand set in Portland in a location that might not end up getting found once they go to get rid of them. Will try to keep an eye out on that.

Windham had a few empty Bostitch cases. Guy wanted nothing to do with getting them down for me to look at them. Trying to convince me they were for a display that was on the shelf. I just gave up with them and started using the orange stairs myself at follow on stores.

I think I also mentioned the two Hitachi roofers that were $99 and $100 I probably should have grabbed to flip on eBay. Portland stores have the Dewalt framing nailers at full price with multiple in stock while all NH stores have it on clearance with none in stock.

Already talked about those in-wall cable kits. Got one in Newington for .01, and nabbed another out of an employees cart that was removing things from the shelf.

Saw a cart with a bunch of RTV stuff later that night, but didn't feel right about shopping in that haha. I do have some morals...

Congrats on the nails. Craigslist sales?

Yea craigslist. Same guy came back 3 times for more nails. Gave him a good deal, probably broke down to about $8 to $10 a box by the time it was all over. I think he took about 60 boxes, plus 1 finish nailer and 3 brad nailers.

BTW those Hitachi roofing nailers sold very fast for me on eBay. I think I put them up for around $180, quick $80-100 profit. I ended up keeping one for myself.

Nice!!

Damnit, why didn't you tell me that before. Only thing with these is they didn't have a box as they were probably display models.

What do you have left for nailers?

Ah, even still.. it's a nice gun to keep if you don't have a roofing nailer.

The only nailers I have left (that i'm selling) are Bostitch, 2 finish staplers + 1 display model, and 2 flooring nailers.

I ended up picking up a Hitachi 21 degree plastic strip framing nailer from Lowes yesterday. On clearance at $179 (down from $199). They have a new model in stock replacing it for like $269. I wanted a plastic strip nailer, so I may end up selling the Bostitch coil framer that I was planning on keeping. Not sure yet.

Maybe if I go back and they still have them I will grab them. If not, no big deal.

Hopefully stores start getting messy again haha. How long you think before things start showing up again?

Dunno, the stores are all clean now because of inventory. Patio furniture should be dropping to 75% off soon. I would imagine a lot of the outdoor power equipment should start to come down soon too (trimmers, mowers, maybe pressure washers?)

I could use a pressure washer. Grass seed too if that ever goes on clearance.

Me too, but I don't want to settle for one of those cheap plastic electric ones... haven't seen one yet that has good reviews.

BTW, what happened to Coralnut? why was he banned?

I have no idea. Didn't realize he was banned...

You can get a much wider selection of nails for the 21deg nailer. I've even seen decking screws that can be driven with them.

Not sure if its nation wide or not but all the Home Depots in my area are slashing some of their tree inventory at 75% off. I am not crazy about planting in this Texas heat but when you can pickup 15 gallon live oaks, shumards, red buds, for $15-$25 ea, now is the time to buy. Also had dogwoods, pecan and japanese maples for about $7ea. Got two of the latter for $5ea as they were looking a little stressed :)

lol not yet.. didn't get out much this weekend. did you check North Hampton? I couldn't find a single decent deal in Rochester, Somersworth, or Newington this weekend. Went to Merrimack and Londonderry, didn't have much time in either, but didn't find anything worthwhile. Found a Ridgid cordless bare tool that showed a penny in Price Check but scanned full price, no luck on getting it for a penny.

I did however make $600 off of nails yesterday.

Nice!

I'm meeting someone at the house in a couple hours to sell all my nails! :willy_nil

Forgot to mention, I saw an Echo chainsaw on clearance at Merrimack and Londonderry NH in the price check app. It wasn't marked down much, something like $20 off.. I think it was around $360 or $380. Top handle model. Don't remember the SKU and didn't take a pic.. Been wanting a nice Echo chainsaw for a while now, although I'd prefer a rear handle. Never seen these on sale before, with the exception of refurbished ones.

You guys think the stores with the Dewalt framers at full price will come down in the not too distant future?

I have a lot of nailers if anyone has anything extra to trade let me know.

I'd like to trade a FN style 15 Gauge Smart Point for a DA style. DA nails are more common here.

I have Bostitch (all smart points) 15 gauge fn, 16 gauge, 18 gauge, stapler, f28ww. Paslode f350s, f350-21, Dyson vacuum, Dewalt recip saw

Only nails I ever see where in the tool rental and 4.50 ish for 1,000. Comes out to 20.00 for 4000. Little less than half normal cost around here. I only took 6000 3.25 and a few thousand 2-2.375. Each store I saw only had a few thousand of each.

How much to sell an F28WW outright? Have a buddy looking for a framer.

No, they just started carrying them

So why do other stores around have them on clearance at $63.02 I think it is? Or is it just a glitch in the system?

Didn't know they are 63.02 All full price around me. Just thought since new they would not discount.

Haven't thought about selling yet didn't know if anyone had anything to trade, seem to get more that way on here. I'll let you know.

Whoever posted earlier about seeing bostitch boxes up high with no paper cardboard on them should go back and get them. The ones I saw had the complete nailers in them 100% new. One did have the older style 15 gauge in a smart point box though when I checked.

I think that was me. We did check the boxes and they were empty...Likely sold the display without ever bothering to look on the shelf for the case.

But take a Dremel to it and modify as needed for any tool you want ~ I modified a few Hitachi cases from Amazon to fit some drills that needed cases.

Could do that. Maybe I'll grab them next time I am there if they still have them.

3/4 of the clearance items I got showed zero in the computer.

I wonder how long I would have had to wait for them to be a penny.

I would risk another gj deal hunter or random customer getting it though.

It must be close because nailers rang up a penny at one store. Either that or it was just dumb random luck for me there

That's why I wish the app had a date of the last price change since most of the nailers (atleast those I have seen) don't have a tag on them.

I know they in-wall cable thing took like 4 months to penny out.

Since most of my nailers came from up in the rafters, they don't have price stickers either, with the exception of 2 or 3 that came from the clearance section that had yellow stickers.

Found a Ridgid Nailer for $55.02 but it was the floor model and had a hole drilled in in.

Does anybody know why some stores have M18 tools still either full price or only 10% off?

I may have to ask if my local store has any cases they plan to toss. I have some corded tools that need homes.

Yea the employee who gave me a few cases said they just throw them away.

I only have 1 power tool left without a case.. a 1/4 sheet sander.

I never saw any of the cheap nailers. Everyone in the Detroit area went nuts and bought them after the first clearance level. At least it wasn't a tool I really wanted or needed.

I changed how I think about HD closeouts. I think they want people to hunt and find the misplaced, computer error items. It's not like they are restocking these items and selling them at closeout prices. They probably don't like the .01 items, but they get a lot more by people buying closeout items than throwing them away or donating them.

Not in all cases. Some vendors actually reimburse HD for items that are trashed. BUT, the item has to be trashed and cleared out of inventory as trashed and NOT through a POS terminal.

There are also some items that are on the shelf in a consignment type of sale. HD has not purchased the item until the item has sold. If the item is sold through a POS terminal, HD then pays the vendor. There aren't a lot of them, but there are some. Lowes has items like this as well.
