To the guy who wanted one more black shop light....

Computer says store I was in yesterday had 4. I forgot to check at the time sorry.

There is a store closer to me that says they have 2 in the system. 14.03 is the price if they are clearanced there too. I would think they are.

If I go by do you want them? If so how many if they have more than one.

Notice some stores will say one left, which is floor sample, but I notice this sticker. Anyone else notice as well?

The drilled nailers have been discussed at length (and then some) in this thread.

I've never actually seen one. Pfft, drill that the next size up, run a tap in there and throw on a set screw w some thread sealant. Good to go if that's all they do to them.

Are these things so wanted people try and still a 2ft box? There is a lot more smaller, more valuable stuff in the store.

I was told by an employee at one store that they caught someone who brought a cart full of nailers out to garden and started throwing them over the fence lol. No it wasn't me.

As far as the drilled nailers, I only noticed them at one store, which is the new displays they put up a few months ago. The old displays that they took out and sold weren't drilled. Of course I haven't actually picked up any displays at any other stores, they may all be like that now.

I also wouldn't doubt that it's just a hole in the outer case that can be plugged. So on the next nailer reset, you might be able to offer pennies to buy these displays. Edit: you might have to worry about metal shavings inside

Depending on the cost to ship I would take at least one more. I can get it for $40 on HD.com.

Where would you be shipping from? Is it possible to do a store transfer?

What nails are most common around some of you for nailers?

21 degree nails take up 80% of the shelves and 28 and 30 take up the rest. Even though I see more 30 degree paslode on job sites. I think 21 are more because cheaper nailers are 21 degrees.

For 16 gauge finish nails it seems to be 80% DA and 20% FN.

I know bostitch makes 21 degree nailers and DA nailers now. Why do stores continue to carry the FN? Every nailer at Lowes takes DA accept one, the bostitch. They could lower inventory if they ordered DA bostitch nailers.

Too many different numbers out there.

Picked up an Empire 72'' Professional Level for $18.03. SKU: 617-109

Lol I have absolutely no need for one but figured for $18 it would be cool to own. Might just hang it on the wall in the garage for looks :lol_hitti

Searched all around for 3 $77 Hitachi coil nailers, found a display case but no nailers.

For anyone who needs power strips, there was a stack of 6-outlet surge protector marked down to $2. Sorry for the blurry pic, but SKU looks like 189-667 maybe

I picked up one of those power strips the other day. They are pretty nice for $2.

Those levels were $56 at my store the last time I checked.

Pretty much the same here in NC.

I really like the 28deg framing nails the best. The wire weld is strong and doesn't leave plastic laying around like the 21 deg. The only thing is there is just a much better selection of the 21deg nails.

I probably passed on over 60 hitachi and 30 paslode charge canisters for cordless nailers on closeout in the rental sections. If you need any check there. They were 75% off.

Wishing I would have took all the 3.25" nails I saw now.

Does anyone know if the Honda mowers will go on clearance? My wife and I are moving from a townhouse to a single family home at the end of the month and will be needing a mower. Not looking for crazy deals, just hoping to find better than day-to-day price. An employee said it only happens if it's a model that is being discontinued, but I'll trust them about as far as I can spit.

Anyway, found a couple deals that I don't recall being mentioned. I was looking for a replacement shower/tub faucet and found a couple of these guys - SKU 1000902125. Pretty nice set in brushed stainless and marked down from $99 to $25.03. I found 3 of them on the plumbing 'clearance' rack along with a slightly different model. Here's a link to the product on the website - http://www.homedepot.com/p/Pfister-Universal-1-Handle-Transitional-Tub-and-Shower-Faucet-Trim-Kit-in-Brushed-Stainless-Steel-Valve-Not-Included-R90-TN2K/203471274?keyword=r90-tn2k

I actually just installed one of these Pfister kits. It's just a trim replacement kit; doesn't actually include the valve. The clearance one we bought was a return and I'm 99% sure the previous buyer had the same Delta Monitor 3 system that I've got. The kit claims to work with the Delta Monitor, but it doesn't fit the Monitor 3 correctly. I was able to get around it by buying a different aftermarket handle for and then everything was peachy. The unit we picked up was already all set up for the Monitor valve system so the previous people probably ran into the same issue.

I thought they looked decent. Might consider grabbing one next time I am in.

Some Honda's went on clearance right before "the season" began, went for damn cheap too.

I find the best deals to be in April when all the neighbors start to throw away their 2-3 year old lawn equipment because they stored them with gas and gummed up the carburetor.

I've gotten so lazy when that happens to me (wife not running the gas out) I just buy a new carb instead of rebuilding. You can google and find the carbs not a hole lot more money than rebuild kits.

This.

I was amazed at just how cheap a genuine Honda carb is. The carb in my pressure washer was acting funny...rebuild kit was $12.00, brand new genuine Honda carb was $18.

I did keep the old one as a spare, but never got around to cleaning it out (and never found a carb kit cheaper than 12 bux)

It's crazy how cheap Honda carbs are compared to the other small engine brands. Some of them can get down right expensive.

Absolutely. New carbs cost so little and are so easy to do it's a no-brainer.

Haven't been to Home Depot in a while but just made a deal with someone today to sell my 100 boxes of nails for $1000. Probably could have gotten more but I'll take $950 profit.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one who is now nail free. Just got rid of mine yesterday.

Just picked up a few Hitachi RF nails with some Porter Cables Angle nails for .42. Not much left. Two boxes of 2,000 plus on those RF nails.

So I am heading out tomorrow for the annual "World's Longest Yardsale" (it actually starts Thursday). We are going to start in Toledo Ohio and head south till we get bored. I think we did about 550 miles last year (out of a 690 mile total sale). There are always some great too/garage items mixed in with everything else, esp vintage tools. All of my tools sales from the last few months paid for the trip. It is like hunting through Home Depots for the deals but you need to move a lot faster! One year I even made money selling Dewalt tools along the way!
