My store is special. Online they list these for $74 & $88 each. But in the store they ring up as $98 & &99. I asked at customer service why the price discrepancy. A$$hat says price when up. I walked out.

This is now $10.03 locally. I just bought mine for $15 last week so I'm gonna see if they'll refund the difference. They do that within 30 days or something correct?

The 52" Tool Chest is now $149.03 NONE in my area at all.

And my score of the day. What got me started on this thread was trying to get T8 bulbs for my garage. I found the 10pk at $32 3 weeks ago and offered store manager $100 for 6 boxes and was turned down. Picked up 7 boxes today for $10.03 ea and got another 10% military discount.

Thanks! For some reason the 52" was on clearance then went off at my stores.

^^ Good luck. My local store has 4 of the 41" tool chests that others are getting for $132 but they're still full price. I'm hoping I may be lucky on one of those down the road. Sure wish I could find a 52.

Got my first and probably last penny deal by accident.

I am working on setting up my garage again after an aborted move, I recently purchased some shop lights on clearance, I believe they were $10.98 each marked down from $39.98.

I could use just one more for above my work benches so I have been looking while I'm out and about.

Today I found just one, which is great but, it came up a penny at check-out and quite frankly I didn't feel that was fair so I offered to pay the last clearance price, the SCO called the manager but, he wouldn't do it, so a penny it was and I still feel guilty.

I did feel better about the 10 pack of bulbs for $10.03, I need 3 for this light and still needed 4 for ones that are already hung so now I have 3 spares, all for a real great price.

Good buy on those lights. I had a hard time finding my fourth one. I got them at 14.**. Bought those led T8s I linked above for them. Going to return the fluo bulbs I got the other day.

Here's a new one: going through SCO with 30 boxes of nails. About half way through the young girl stops me and says there's a problem. Calls a mgr and he/she tells her they've been recalled and that's why they're a penny. After telling me this, I inform her that she didn't even tell the manager the product code so how did she know they were recalled? I then informed her the register pops up an alert when a product is recalled, not ring up a penny. She asks the mgr to come to SCO, while waiting she helps other customers, I finish my transaction. Step aside and wait for the mgr who never showed. The attendant says have a good day after 5 mins or so.

Will home depot list the clearance items on there site? I was just in looking at the 52 inch box today. Everything was full price. But I have several stores within driving distance

OK queue the Twilight Zone music.

After nabbing the T8 bulbs I'd been needing from a HD by work, I went by the one close to home tonight. They still have the same bulbs at the $24 price they've been stuck at for 3 weeks. I hit the price check app to confirm, yep sure enough. Then I punched in 52" tool chest to see what that Husky box was listed for, and at THIS store it still showed the $449.06 price while it showed $149.03 at the store by work.

My only theory is that the system sets up the pricing per store based on sales. The price on the T8 bulbs was dropping weekly at the store by my house. They had 10 boxes, I know for sure because I counted them. A couple of weeks went by and the price dropped twice, usually on Monday. Then it didn't drop again and hasn't since. They showed 9 boxes the week I noticed the price didn't change.

Back when I worked at HD 20 years ago the system was smart enough to track sales per store. I'm betting now it's smart enough to not only do that, but also clearance item prices and if it shows a clearance item selling at a particular store it delays the discounts.

Hmmmmmmm

Managers can be quite creative with their BS excuses. Sometimes it cracks me up. Other times it's insulting that they think I'm that stupid. Glad things ended with you leaving with your nails.

Tool Rental. That's where I've found 75% of mine.
Yes I know that is where they are. Its just it has been posted here for a month they are all a penny. I would have thought everyone that posts would have already cleaned out their local stores and the non posters would have also cleaned out stores all around them by now. Must be a lot of stores out there!

Already have used this meter. And so far it's a damn nice meter for 33.03. Lol. It's really nicer that I thought. I may do a full review after I have used it for a few more things than continuity and VDC. I will say the readings are faster than my Klein meter.

I'm shocked every time I find some, but I keep looking, and keep finding. This week I've found Dewalt nails, Bostitch nails, and even some Hitachi staples. I'll be on the hunt for more tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Anyone have luck with either HD or Milwaukee at getting a replacement meter for one with battery damage?

One store had one multi meter for 33.03. The next store had both meters at 97.00 who knows. I found one box of dewalt connector nails the other day. What I found in tool rental did not have a yellow sticker.

buy the $97's and return/rebuy at the $33 store.. worked fine for me.

Bought 2 MM's and 1 clamp at one store for $30.03 and $33.03. The next store had one of each in the $90's and wouldn't price match. I even said to the manager, "you won't price match another Home Depot, but I can just buy these, return them to the cheaper store, and buy them back there for the cheaper price". He said, "well, technically you can." He laughed about it, but stood firm on not price matching another Home Depot prices.

Went to the cheaper store, old lady was working at the return desk. She seemed comfused when I said, "Hi, I need to either return and rebuy these, or do a price adjustment". She did the return, then when I said I want to buy them again, she said "But they're just gonna scan at the same price???"

When she scanned them and they came up as $30, she said "Wow, I don't blame you!"

That's only the 2nd time I've done a return/rebuy, but both times I had no problems.

One guy showed me a group of stuff they had put up high to make room for something else. Most of it is at half price.

let me know if you find a cheap spindle sander up there lol.. I have a buddy looking for one. He makes guitars. They used to have a Ryobi model, but now they only carry the Ridgid belt/spindle sander. I can't believe they haven't clearanced these out yet. Every one I've seen at HD is just collecting dust. I don't see it being worth $199, but I'd gladly pay half price for it.

Any reviews on the 100' hose? I know some of you have bought them.

I bought a few last year when they got down to $5. They were horrible, the hose is extra stiff and makes it hard to use when your trying to wash a car or water plants. The plastic coating on the outside isn't very durable. It gets scratches and nicks very easily with leads to it tearing and leaks. I replaced it after a few weeks with the craftsman rubber hoses and have been happy with them.

Normal stock at my store. Strange how they clearance...

1¢ does not necessarily mean it's clearance. It may mean that store was never setup to carry the item and it should be RTV'd or removed from inventory, whether it's trashed, donated or taken by employees.

.

My experience has been different, I've tried this at three different stores and they would not do a return rebuy. They stated it was policy to not resell at clearance pricing and would only offer a refund. In saying that, I expect it is only a matter of getting the right person who didn't "get the memo" on handling clearance items. I was trying to get the dewalt boxes, the stores in the Atlanta area are split into those that will stock them at retail and those that no longer carry them.

Thanks to you guys here on this forum I scored a Milwaukee meter for $33! I stopped by another Home Depot yesterday, checked inventory, it showed 1 meter and 2 clamps in stock. I hunted and hunted, used the ladder, peered into the shadows but could not find any of the claimed inventory. Oh well.

Thanks for the deal!
