R30 Bat insulation 24" x 48" for attics 9.5" thick 88.8 sq/ft per bundle. Regular price $88.**, marked down to $5 locally.

I was about to buy all they had for my garage attic but when I asked the builder he said I would have better results from blow in.

They didn't have a normal price sticker for this. Just a large sign hand written above it that said "$5 was $88"

I think it is this one:

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Owens-Co...Insulation-Batts-24-in-x-48-in-BF71/202585885

They had several other insulation items marked WAY down as well, but this was the cheapest. I'd take a walk through your local store and have a look. It's almost like they're changing over to another brand or type or something.

I'll have to take a look. I never think to walk through building materials but that is a damn good deal. I wouldn't really need kraft face but...

HD site shows a fair amount in stock at my local store.

Coralnut gets a HUGE thumbs up from me! Sent him a message a few days back for one of those coil nailers he got for a penny, and he came through! Shipping plus 20 bucks for a brand new Bostitch Coil Nailer? Dude, you're my new best friend. If you ever need anything, I'm only 3 hours away, man. Thanks again. Thumbs upppp!

Well.... The store that I bought the truckload of DeWalt coil nails all of a sudden has 4 coil nailers in stock. May have to check those out and see if it's another good up.

I messaged him the day he got banned. I believe I just used the PM option here.....But I also have the same email address on file that SPN was giving you, folks. I have no other way of getting ahold of him except through snail mail, now.

I was glad he found one. I knew he was looking for a while and I was keeping an eye out for one for him too.

Then I saw he was selling both of the ones he found. He got a message to me and I replied. Never heard back.

Rm2728 must be his favorite!

Stopped by HD today. Picked up a Milwaukee amp clamp for $30.03. Was tagged at $90.06. They had 3 or 4 left. Computer said stock was 1. Had 1 multi meter but it was still $90 something. Banged them with a Lowe's 10% off coupon too.

I'm sure most people are aware , but just an FYI, HD will honor Lowe's 10% coupons. They always take it off the entire purchase. Doesn't require a manager to come over. The associate's can do it themselves. They always let me keep the coupon too, so I just use it every time, always have it in my wallet. Was using an expired one for a while too, they didn't seem to care.

Thanks again guys. Enjoy following this thread. Still trying lose my penny deal virginity though.:bounce:

I have tried Home Depots in 3 different states and every one of them has these coil nailers priced at $269. Two stores didn't even have them on display, but I found a few way up high on the shelves and they still rang up at regular price. Coralnut must have just been lucky.

Has anyone heard from Coralnut regarding the coil nailers he might have for sale?

Another question.

I was looking through the HD computer and didn't see a couple of nailers in the computer inventory. When I look on the shelf they are there at full price. Is it possible those items are on clearance?

Beginning of rant.

Earlier today, I finally settled an issue that began on the 16th! Found a cartload of hitachi nails in an HD tool rental department. Of course they were all ringing up a penny. The SCO attendant called the head clerk over. She came over with a ****** attitude, took the cart, and started walking off with it. When I asked what she was doing with my cart, she blurted out "We can't sell these to you for a penny. We have to look up the price. " She then went over to the pro computer an proceeded to change the prices from 01¢ to between $1 & $5. I was on the phone to CS by the time she got to the computer. A lot of good that did me, as the woman I spoke to said the same thing. Well, since the head clerk was do ****** to me, I let her go through all 40+ boxes of nails, looking them up and changing the prices. When she was done, I told her they could keep them. I left pissed, but quickly forgot about it.
Tuesday morning I got a call from a store manager. He asked me about Sunday, and said he would look for the cart and call me back. When that didn't happen after a few hours, I called him. When I spoke to the manager on duty, he said they wanted to resolve the situation. Great, I thought, until their idea of resolution was to offer to sell me the nails for the same F<|}#%g $1 to $5!!! That they would call me to waste my time with that **** really pissed me off.
I called CS, and spoke to another woman who confirmed that proper procedure would have been to sell me what was in my cart for the 01¢ it scanned at. She was supposed to escalate the issue, and try to get the store to honor the price. Never heard from her again. I'd also sent an email to CS, so I knew there'd be a record. After 1 phone call and a promised follow up, nothing.
After a couple more phone calls to CS, yesterday and today, I'm actually going to get that cartload of nails - for free. The store manager also confirmed that company policy is to sell penny items that customers find. He also admitted that he didn't know this before.
Funny thing is that I'd let it go, until they called me up to give another go at selling me the nails at up to 500 times what's in the system, as a favor to me. And the entire customer service team, outside of Danielle, was pathetic, and did nothing but make this worse.

Rant over.

You'll have to forgive the typos guys. I'm in a waiting room typing on my phone.

I was out of town when this was resolved, and finally got to pick up my nails earlier today. 65 boxes total.

Well, small win, but took my receipt by HD today and they refunded me the $5 on that garden hose that's been marked down from $15 to $10.03. Can't beat that.

They had one multi meter but it's still $97.06. Can't find any clamp meters.

If they aren't in the computer, they might be penny status... We're they on the nailer display or up in the overhead?

That's been the trend.

There's also the possibility they won't ring up at all as the sku isn't in the system and it will alert the associate.

Overhead
Funny thing is they were on display. I did not see them in the computer. Another note thong the nailer I was looking for showed 2 in the computer but I couldn't find them on the shelf

I picked up a Milwaukee m18 XC hammer drill and impact kit for 199 yesterday.
It was marked at 240 but rang up at 199 (originally 299).
I picked up 2 kits for work.

Ill update the SKU in the next day or so. It's not readable on the image I have.
This was a Chicagoland location.

Don't they have to sell it to you if its on the shelf? I wouldn't care if I got for a penny or not. Just getting a decent nailer for 25% of its original price would be great.

I would think they could charge you anything the store manager wants if it is out of the system. Penny? Free? Sharpie like someone else experienced. My nearest store crossed out the SKUs on penny items so they won't scan, then gives them away to people that apply for credit cards.

Got it this time. Apparently they threw out the 3 I tried to get last time, but forgot the one on top of the clearance shelf. Different people working today. Garden center manager said "Merry Christmas, get it off the floor for me"

This is a $200 Mosquito trap/repellent thinggy. Giving it to my parents.

Saw this on the clearance shelf at my closest Home Depot, clearance price of $63.** dated back to 6/2013. I took it to the front and price checked it at self checkout, $63.** still. I put it back. I was sure hoping I scored a penny deal!

Also checked pro shop, no nails there.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. He was doing us a service by posting his finds so that we could go out and look for them ourselves. Would you prefer that he not post his finds at all, put them up for sale on Craigslist, and then we wouldn't even know what to look for?
