Got a 30 count box of the T12 bulbs for.01. Head cashier came over to help the noob cashier who let me buy em for .01

She got all huffy as usual and said they can't sell them but I walked out with them. 2 boxes left but the witch had them confiscated from the rack. I'd hate to go home to that every nite. I can see why guys stop at the bar and get drunk so they can tolerate going home. I don't think see recognized me from the last time she went off. Self ck out did say wait for cashier so maybe this HD changed their self ck outs software.

Got a husky 24" laser level. Has anyone used one? Every husky product I tried has been junk.

Not sure I want to keep it at even 15.00

I will say the build and design looks like the 48" empire version. Guessing they made it.

Talked to a sales rep today and new milwaukee tools go out this week. He said the old models would be on clearance soon including the m18 sawzall fuel that was 30 off today so keep an eye out. They had a whole stack of these in the back.

Not in Northern VA. Just checked the Reston store this morning and they are still $80 with 4 on the shelf. I'll swing by the Fairfax store on eh way home and check there.

The HD website shows them as discontinued.

My Lowes is great because you don't need a receipt for returns if they can look them up, which is nice. I didn't know there were any rewards/etc.

I like Menards best though, no BS. Go in, scan your card you used and print off all the receipts you need.

They were Diablo branded blades. I ultimately found a display in the Waukesha store tucked away where no one would expect to find it (practically in tool rental). This was three days into the promotion and the display looked pretty much untouched. I grabbed 5 of each anticipating that I wouldn't use any more than that in the next few years (the sawzall doesn't get a lot of use) and left the rest for others.

A little off topic but if you are asking about rewards programs consider Menards. Must spend big money to get this perk.

Menards has a Contractor card. Spend $1.5 million a year and they will fly you and seven of your friends anywhere round trip in the continental US on a private jet. Or every $30k gets you a round trip ticket on a commercial flight.

Stopped by the Fairfax Va stores.

The one by Costco still has the Empire levels at $80 and negative numbers on the Sawzall blades.

The Fairfax Circle store has the levels at $20 but none in stock. The wood blades show -1 and the wood blades as 2. I looked but couldn't find them.

They also have the 26" Husky 4 drawer carts and tops but still at full price.

Gentlemen,

The race is on. I was absentmindedly walking through one of my local Home Depot stores this evening and decided to check on the current price of the above Fish Tape light (forgot to do it earlier today while running between Lowes (for Kobalt sockets/tool sets/etc) and Home Depot (just checking on a few things - other than some small bins for garage organization all my purchases were a penny each - HDMI cables, Scrub Daddy sponges, IPOD charging cables (old 32 pin), and items noted below).

Checking the SCO the lights came up a penny. Was able to verify the price reduction in another local store - which means that I now have 8 of these things (will make wonderful stocking stuffers.....never know what you might be able to use these fish tape lights for - just remember you must be consenting adults.....).

Was further able to snag an Empire 84" Box Level for a penny so the prices are down, or coming down slowly. Now I need to decide what to do with the one I bought for $20.03 (already gave my son a 72" version - which if you can still find are also a penny - at least in Washington, DC area). And before anyone asks, I am not interested in trying to mail that thing (already threw out the box it came in). Good hunting.

Picked up the Fish Tape Lights in Upper Marlboro and Waldorf stores (Southern Maryland area). Level was in Upper Marlboro as well. Have not had the opportunity to get back to the store with Bessey clamps. Will be in the area next week. Will take a peek then to see if there are still available.
