Hey, I actually called the store on the toolbox yesterday morning and they said "no, we don't have any but $498 was a good price" meaning they showed $498 but when I got there last night it was at $125.03. Either it changed by the time I got there or the employee wanted it himself. I wouldn't normally call but thought I would take the chance this time.

Yeah there are 2 ways they look up the price, the lazy way is just check the website. When Im pretty sure something is on clearance and hear the website price Im never really sure if they went lazy or not (usually they did)

Been looking for those Weber grills, found a store that lists them in stock and called (since they have plenty and its far enough away I need to call ahead) and they told me its still website price. I asked how they found the price and they said store stock computer, so I tend to believe them.

Called yesterday for the hell of it to see if any stores local would price match clearance on the chest and they wouldn't, so I am going to attempt my first return/rebuy...

Looks like all the PetSafe products have pennied out at one local store. These are normal batteries in a PetSafe package. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1443719301.977927.jpg

I ran one for a penny, more than once.

Very rarely carry cash and the one time I did have a penny ready to go, the item was handed to me for free

I typically don't carry change and the one time I did, the damn machine kept spitting it out then flagged a see attendant message.

Plastic spends just the same :rocker:

Haha. South Portland. Had to go this afternoon so made a quick stop. This 3/4 and new 1.25 boxes are pretty much identical. This one was in the back of them.

Made a pass through my local Home Depot tonight... worthless. There were only 2 endcaps of clearance stuff and only 1 item (a little flash light) ended in .06. Everything in clearance was marked less that 1 month ago. I probably doesn't help that they are a tail end of a store expansion and renovation.

After one cashier and two managers I managed to pull it off!! Elderly cashier was confused by the drastic price change as I played dumb. Manager came over and said it wasn't his call. Other manager came and said if it's 132, sell it back to him, he got lucky. Originally told them I wanted to change the card.
