I did something like this once, for a Ridgid jointer. Was on clearance for 179 at a store about an hour from here, but all the stores around me had it at regular price.

The store an hour away gladly did a return/rebuy without me bringing the jointer (they were heavy!)

Im not sure that would work again for something like this, though.

After one cashier and two managers I managed to pull it off!! Elderly cashier was confused by the drastic price change as I played dumb. Manager came over and said it wasn't his call. Other manager came and said if it's 132, sell it back to him, he got lucky. Originally told them I wanted to change the card.

He said and with this you can win 5000, and "with your luck" haha.

May be the first survey I do...

So customers can use yellow ladders correct? Couple weeks ago, this lady worker said I can use it, then she left and this guy worker asked what I was doing up there and said I can't be up there. I told him "yes I can since since it's a yellow ladder" and he just said he's never heard that before.

So can, or can't you use them?

Yes. I used to work there part-time. Ours even had a sign on it stating that it was for customer use.

Every orange (tall) ladder I've seen says employees only.

The yellow ladders I've either seen no sign at all, or "employee and customer use". I've only gotten **** 1 time for using the yellow ladder, and it was clearly marked "employee and customer use".

It's really hard to believe HD corporate is OK with their customers on 12 foot ladders in their stores.

the yellow ladders being discussed as OK for customers are only about 4 feet tall. The taller orange ladders that you must be talking about are used when you need assistance. Just take a step or two up one and you will have someone in the aisle to assist you in about 15 seconds.

Depends on the store and laziness of the employee.

Yellow for customers around here. I try to do my stuff when no one is around.

What stores do you typically hit? I'll leave those out of my travel for you.

Heh its not a problem, Im actually interested in where you found them in store....I wandered that place for 45 minutes. I managed to find one of the $299 Ridgid generators for a friend but that was it.

I usually hit Derby, Milford, Orange, Stratford. Sometimes I get to Bridgeport and Trumbull. Rarely Ill get farther south (Fairfield, Norwalk) and if I happen to be going to New Haven I hit up the East Haven store (not often)

Lancaster, Texas. The MOD was not happy, I had to call corporate. They tried to change the price. Corporate told them to honor the 1 cent. The then gave them to me, as I walked out I asked the cashier you realize the items are not on my receipt. Everyone dealing with this seamed upset like I had them at gun point then let them go.

They probably didn't want to have to explain why they sold something for a penny so they just let you have them

Heck of a deal though! I have one of those toolboxes. It's worked fine for my purposes.

What's the sku on that one by chance?

Looks like 397-055 per the website. It was mislabeled with the wrong SKU tag. Has a tag for a Pfister faucet I think it was.

not the right one, the 1 1/4 is 1000005903

This.

The 3/4 looks identical to that 1.25 though the box is orange just like it, so keep an eye out for the 3/4 mixed in with the new 1.25.
