Not sure how you guys get these great deals at HD. My store never has anything on sale. The 41" Husky Box is $498.

I tried and it didn't come up in the price check app.

That was the reason I took it to the self check out, muted the price check and then added it to the cart to pay.

What was the date? I tried an item that ended in .03 and had a date of 6/15/15 and no dice. Still at sticker clearance price.

Nevermind. Looks like 4/2X/15

Score:bounce: Went to the south Nashua,NH Home Depot and found a 41" tool chest! Paid $118 after military discount. There was another but I don't need 2.

Great buy. I notice these have different boxes. The one in my area have the red and white labels with an actual photo of the product at full price. I wonder if it has anything to do with the packaging.

Not sure, the lady at checkout said they are discontinued and have been replaced with a new model.

My store has the sticker on these as 69.99 and 99.99 . dated 12/4/14.

I scanned it at the self check out and it comes up invalid item. I had the cashier check and she told me 69.99 and 99.99 respectively. how do you get these down to a penny? since the chests have been on the floor for almost a year.. no clearance tag, just original prices

thanks, i'm new to the penny deals, i got a few, but just small ones.

I think the item has been removed from the store inventory and she just adjusted the price to the last price in the computer. Are you sure you have the correct items with the correct Sku?

Sunday the west Plano TX store had two Husky 48" wide tall metal cabinets for $99. The sticker on the box was marked significantly higher but the price check app showed $99. There were also two 48" wide steel wall cabinets. Both of these types of cabinets were in the clearance rack.

The price check app also showed a few Husky tool boxes on clearance. I did see some available in the racks in different parts of the store.

Sorry for the late info.

The set I bought from a "non-clearance" store was as you describe with the color photo. The boxes from the store I returned/rebought at which was on clearance were the plain like others have posted pictures of on here.

No luck for me on the 26" tool box. Rang up 69.99 like the sticker said. In my store i've noticed some of the yellow clearance tags don't have a date, while others do. I price checked a few things like saws and a flashlight. They had a date of july on them, still rang up price on yellow sticker. I scanned the barcode on the back of the package too. I'm not sure how some of you guys are getting the great penny deals either. I've only got a couple penny deals on cheaper items.

question about Chamberlain garage door openers - is horsepower and MyQ the only difference between the two?
do they both come with spring(s), rails or just the openers?
Thanks

Openers never come with springs.

Comes with the opener, opener rail, sensors, buttons, keypad etc.

That is the idea. With those two big items, it might be best to check out with one, put it in your car/truck, then go back in for the other. Have your card out of your wallet and ready to swipe, or cash if that's what you use. Try and do it as quickly as possible. I sometimes walk by and wait until there are a few people checking out at the same time, or the attendant is helping someone out.

I found a garage door opener conveniently marked as a return and a note that that it was in the system for a penny. When checking out with a few items, the sco cashier came over and asked if I wanted the extended warranty, and i said i wouldn't pay another penny for an extended warranty.

Do you price check in the store with the Home Depot app to see if the price dropped? Searching for the item(s) would show the price at $X.X7. I assume the price would be the same in the store.

You search the price check app on the in store computers. For clearance items, HD.com does not reflect in store pricing.

STORE REMOVED THE COMPUTER!!!

Well, I knew the management were Jacka--'s but this has to take the cake. A couple months ago the "Customer Computer" displayed with signage for customers use & situated right off the main isle disappeared. A short time later I found it in a cart shoved in a corner of the store. A few weeks later it was gone and has not returned. I've done numerous online survey's from my receipts, called & complained to the store & corporate. Nothing has returned & in corporate fashion, they don't care & only will return me to the store level.

Any suggestions? This was the only computer available for me to do price checks, etc. With only one store for hundreds of miles I'm stuck with these JA's. Has anyone been able to break thru the wall corporate puts up when you call? I'm always referred back to the store & can not get further up the chain & hopefully some results.

Nice! Must be up in the rafters!

Actually it was on the floor mixed in with the new style 1.25HP openers.

They had 3 of them a couple weeks ago, I bought 2 of them at the 62.** price level (because I intended on using them). Was surprised the 3rd one was still there today but there it was.

Its also the largest item Ive ever gotten through self checkout.

Sweet, I'm guessing the air compressor are up on a pallet of 6 in rafters.

Ive yet to be to a Home Depot where there was only one of those computers.

Maybe only one LABELLED for customer use, but they all have the same home screen, Store PC Menu, etc. The others are usually in the appliance area, kitchen cabinet area, etc.

My local store also removed the computer they had next to customer service after I found a penny deal. Management wouldn't honor it and called Corporate office. A week later computer is gone.

What I have seen as well. The .75 boxes are identical to the new 1.25 boxes and are easily mixed in.

This. Stores around here all have I would say atleast a handful of computers that "face out". They might not specifically say for public use but I have yet to be bothered here in New England for using them.

Brings up a funny story. Was using a computer in appliances a week or so ago. An older employee comes over and is watching what I am doing while I browse items. He stands there for 15-20 seconds or so and says "well it looks like you know a lot more than I do so I am just going to let you do your thing and won't bother you, if you need help getting something come find me"

There are lots of computers in Home Depot. The easiest ones to use are the ones by the lumber area (pro desk).

You can often find them near the appliance area as well as near the cabinet area but sometimes the employees start asking questions when those are being used by customers.

Or wear one of these next time you go into the store:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/161843679660 ,
That should keep them from bothering you. :bounce:

I've been to several stores that had the PC near customer service out of order. I simply asked if they had another PC I could use to "get on homedepot.com" and they gladly let me come around the counter and use one of theirs.

I even had a store that let me go back into a break-room type area and use the PCs in there. As long as your polite, they seem to be pretty accommodating.

Just beware when you're behind the counter, you get lots of people coming up and asking you questions and assuming that you work there. :p

She wouldn't sell. Said it had to go in trash...

Stand there, don't move, and phone up corporate. Hold up the line. Too late now though, you just screwed yourself out of a good penny deal.

Some employee probably already took it home and has it on Craigslist

You should know the drill by now. I have HD customer care, Lowes customer care, and Lowes executive customer service in my contact list
