How do you cancel the transaction in self-checkout? I held up the line last time trying to figure it out until the attendant did it from her screen.

Stopped by a location that's usually picked over because it's right off of a highway and wasn't expecting much.

Checked out the chainsaws and saw someone(s) had moved the boxes around checking stock. They missed this guy because he was hiding in an endcap for an unrelated department.

I entered the actual bar code numbers on both boxes in the app and they both pull up the 420ev

Mgr must have changed it in the system.

So you buy one model and your receipt will say you bought another. Seems messed up for returns and warranty. What if you try and return at a different store.

Noticed the same thing. They tied them both to the same SKU

Don't think I've seen this one before. It must be old like the pressure washer and they immediately dropped it to such a low price.

None to be found.

My memory is bad, but I think those Dewalt kits were first clearanced last winter. I remember trying to get one of those or a couple of different Ridgid ones.

Had a good run today. Found the PB500 in the garden section marked 279.00. Rang up 80.03. One thing I have learned is to never rely on the tags. My store has things penny out that were never even marked on clearance. Does anyone know if the CS-590 chainsaw was discontinued? Doesn't show up online anymore and they had one up top. But the garden center employee was telling me that the blower was still 279 since that's what the tag says so I figured it was time to pay and leave. Found a few other goodies.

If you're planning on using the Nest smoke detectors personally, look into if they are the gen 1 or gen 2. Gen 1 apparently had a massive amount of problems and Nest pulled them while they worked out the bugs. That sku doesn't seem to pull up anything online and the current Nest Protect is a different sku. I'm Nest certified so I'm pretty familiar with them.

Not on clearance yet but it might be eventually. Saw this Extreme Tools chest at Home Depot the other day. They want $1,538 for top and bottom. I wish they would put this on clearance as soon as possible because I would buy one of these right away. Something to keep an eye on.

Sku - 1001-376-487 (Top)
Sku - 1001-380-427 (Bottom)

lmfao. What are you gonna do with those cedar garden things? I never even bothered to look for them here.. I wouldn't use them, and don't know anyone who would, and I don't think they'd sell on Craigslist either.. but anyway, a penny item is a penny item, even if you use it in a bonfire to roast marshmallows! Nice finds there, especially the chainsaw!

Hey, if you don't like the cedar garden kits, you could always use them to take your new chainsaw for a practice run!

I searched 2 stores today for them. One store showed 7 in their computer the other showed 2 but they were no where to be found.

I checked the PC for the pressure washers and they didn't come up anymore which led me to believe they were a penny. I grabbed one but it's still rang up to $29. Maybe by tomorrow they'll b 1 cent......or maybe I just searched wrong o_O

If I find something that doesn't come up in the computer, I will search for it a couple more times. The computer system is terrible. I have been fooled a few times into believing an item is a penny based on just one search. Many times it has popped up with an actual price on the second or third search. If after the third search it still says item not found, I can be relatively sure it's a penny.

Someone please tell me how to search for this fabled pressure washer. Family and I need it badly. Thanks!

Use your eyes and walk around and look for it :dunno:

At this point, searching the computer is useless IMO. I don't think anyone has reported inventory on these being accurate so.

There have been multiple pictures of both the unit and the box posted. If you store has it, you should be able to spot it.

Anyone have experience with those vanities? How rugged are they? Considering trying to get them for a penny if they stick around that long, and string a few of them side by side to make a work bench in the garage. Obviously I would put a new top on them to span the entire length. Likely remove the sink tops, or just run the new top over everything. Another option would be to build the workbench so that these would slide right underneath and use them for the storage. Then it wouldn't matter how rugged they are.

All speculation of course as I'm sure they will be removed by employees after the penny out but...

Finally got a few deals that were being price dropped as I was there. Just dropped to the .03 mark. Had my eye on these for a month. Was not going to pay 10$ for the 12" saw.

Has anyone ever purchased a full priced item, returned it to another store that has it on clearance? If yes, was it hassle to get the price adjusted or return/re-buy afterwards?

You're opening a can of worms... many have done it and many also feel it's considered theft. If you are curious how they view it as theft, look up "return fraud". It's not hard to do and is not a hassle though.

Yes it can be done. Depends on the store/people you are dealing with how easy it is. Also depends on the price difference in question.

I found on of the CS-590 chainsaws yesterday but rang up at full price. I did find a bunch of .06 8/14/15 clearance tags in the lighting section. There were some deep discounts on track lighting and hanging lamps/chandlers.

No, I know what you mean. I searched "pressure washer" and only 2 machines came up at full price. Prior to this, when I'd do the same search, the other ones would come up too. :dunno:

So buying a $1000 Weber grill and return/rebuy at a store with it for $300 is probably not going to fly?

Likely not. I think I pushed the limit almost too far with the 41" chest I bought for $498 and rebought for $132...

Wouldn't do it again.

Yeah I know what you mean. I did something similar with a 18v Milwaukee combo. It was $399 at one store and I did a return and rebuy at my local store for $100.03. The returns person called the manager and over the phone he said he'd allow it but this is 'first and last time.' I was ok with that :p

How good is ya'lls acting? Return it a store where your wife came in by herself before hand and walkup to check out at the return desk after you get there. Do the return, walk out and then have your wife say she wants it for her husband but there were none on the shelf. Shes purchases for clearance price. No conflict.

Just a thought, lol. :dunno:

I had thought about this as well. Still kind of greasy though...

I actually did the return/rebuy and was honest about it "price is cheaper now, Im still within 30 days"

One store said absolutely not. Another store said no problem...didnt even bring the item in, just the receipt.
