Sorry about that: confirmed this morning in Stratford, CT store.

These should be dropping very soon...

Does your store have them in stock? I was going to pick them up for $100, but decided to take my luck and try and let them penny out. They are on a top shelf with some other tool boxes, and inventory is only 1 of ea, so I am hoping they just assume it's an inventory error and don't look for them. They have made it through all the clearance cycles up there so I can only hope.

Debating whether or not I should go look tonight after work, or wait till tomorrow after work...

Found this price drop again none to be found

I found one of these in stock at the Bel Air, MD store last week but I do not need one, the tag dated 09/03/15. It was in the clearance endcap behind the tool area, and had one of the alarm things on it that have to be taken off by the store.

One store had all of the left over tools from reset in a basket. Only marked 25% off.I bought a whole house surge protector for $ 13.03. Some one had bought two of them.

Keep an eye on all of the outdoor patio stuff..
I picked up a few outdoor wall clocks for a penny each. They had several more at the .03 level, which I suspect will be penny status this week. If you see any wicker stuff out in lawn and garden, check the SKU in price check app. I know the wicker patio cooler has been penny status for a while now. I saw some big wicker deck storage chests also, but didn't bother checking them since I don't have a truck to get them home.

I don't even remember.. been to so many HD's in the past week. I just noticed them as I was walking around looking for that pressure washer. I'll start keeping track of them

lol Not that I really need it, more curious than anything.

I did see some cheap galvanized fencing posts last weekend for anyone interested in building a fence. I didn't note the SKUs though. They were like $3.** though.

I'm still trying to find a chainsaw. It's frustrating because every store around me that has them, they ring up full price. Although I just saw an ad on Craigslist that is pretty local to me, and the guy was selling one. The photo showed 3 or 4 stacked up though.

Which one, the 330 or 490/bigger saws?

Well this is embarrassing...... :tard: Hah!

What's funny is that I've only been on this forum for 2-3 months and it's the second time I've seen this EXACT exchange. Misspells Ridgid talking about not locating the brand on HD computer, gets corrected, responds with "Well that is embarrassing"

hahaha

Does anyone know/remember what the clearance cycle was for the Makita kits that are currently $49. A store locally has them, but they are still $161. What is the next drop?

My store said they had 3 of each in stock but I did not verify. The in store PC has been pretty accurate presumably because they did an inventory a month or so ago like most stores around here, so Im guessing the 3 count is correct.

Good to know. Like I said, I suspect they will be dropping this week. I just don't know when that store gets around to the tools section...

Home Depot store at Grand Parkway in Katy, TX has a bunch of Bosch laser levels at around 75% off. I was with my kids and didn't hang around but they had model GPL-3 from $109 to $28.03, GLL-2 from $80 to $20.03 and GTL-2 from $43 to $11.03. They also had laser measures and a few other things. All dusty and on the side of the end cap in lumber. They had several of each when I was there yesterday. I grabbed the three items mentioned above but not sure yet if I will keep them all. Not penny deals I know, but pretty good prices for what seem to be pretty good tools. I can stop off and pick up others if anyone is interested.

Maybe a sign of things to come for us in the Northeast. Still full price up here.

Do you have access to the spreadsheet?

So after learning how to spell Ridgid properly... tried to find a nailer and miter saw on clearance on $58 & $180 respectively. Both at 1 in stock. Neither to be found. Going from penny find to not even finding ok clearance pricing is disheartening.

Ridgid roofing nailer? Those have been on clearance for like 5 months now, doubtful that they have it. If the store has a tool rental, you can check if they have one in there for sale. Other than that, not likely at this point.

The miter saws are weird. The new model has the same model number, but a different SKU, and the same UPC (someone correct me if I am wrong). There was some discussions about them early this summer.

Sorry if this had been asked. I used the computer at one store and found that they didn't have the chain saw but a store 10 mins away did. I went to that store, found the saw, but it was full price. On the computer at the original store, it showed the clearance price... Any idea what is going on?

The inventory on the right of the screen is just "inventory" in the loosest sense of the word. The price you see on the screen is for the store you are at only.

from the price check app? or using homedepot.com?

price check app won't show you another store's price.

They finally made it down to $6.33
19c73fefbb39196c0516fc56bbc42bbd.jpg
. They also had a scroll saw up high in the rafter with a yellow tag. I asked the employee why it hadn't dropped in price for months and he said that the warehouse sent them those to clearance out, they weren't normal stock so the price will change at a different schedule. I thought that was interesting.

Im noticing the pricing difference between stores as well.

About 90% of the time if Im looking at an item clearance priced in my current store, and the other stores have inventory greater than 1, they ARE NOT clearanced at the other stores. Happened to me on the very same chain saw(s) you are probably looking for, along with the Husky 41" toolbox and a bunch of Milwaukee stuff.

Just saw several husky 42" toolchests on top shelf in grand rapids mi. They showed full price on store puter...so not sure their price status. Looked like ready to be shipped out on pallet. Hopefully someone can use that info. Didn't see anything else. Love the spreadsheet, big thx.

Which store? E belt line? If you happen to go back and they do ring a penny I would like to buy 1 or 2 off of you. Unfortunately I'm in Rhode Island so I can't check myself but I do have family in the area who can pick up.

A few more goodies. If anyone takes the floor coating at my store before it drops I'll beat them.

Yea, I know but all the stores around here literally were just inventoried. And a lot of the clearance stuff on here seems to drop a few months after the rest of the country (In NJ). NH, TX, and CA seem to drop first based on reliable posters.

The miter saws are weird. The new model has the same model number, but a different SKU, and the same UPC (someone correct me if I am wrong). There was some discussions about them early this summer.

I tried convincing them the display model (new model) was the old one and they should sell me that. I even had the Rigid vendor on my side. They said they couldn't. :shocking:

The vendor also informed me of something that might be of interest I haven't heard here before. The clearance level of the item is based on percentage of original pricing. So once on clearance everyday on the value drops for ex. 1/2% per day until it reaches 75% then it goes .06 status. It supposedly gets reset at that point to a different percent of the value typically lower, 1/4%. Everyday it drops until it reaches 25% then .03 status. Same thing again till penny status then they throw out. He could not inform me how the percentages were figured out. If they were based on make, department, sell rate, etc... Interesting thought though to try and predict drops. If we monitor original to clearance (.06), figure out the %, then monitor time and figure percentage for .03 status maybe we can closely predict penny status?

That Ridgid vendor is incorrect. When an item goes to .06, it's 25% off, and stays that price until it drops to .03, which is 75% off. Then after a few weeks it goes to penny status. There's no price change between those points.

Maybe I wrote it wrong, but when it comes down to 75% of it "value" it is 25% off. Same for 25% value makes its 75% off. And he never said price change inbetween for the customer. it's just how the system calculates when the next drop will be

Any updates on the Echo 330 chainsaw status? I called Rochester and they said $65.03. I called Newington and the guy said $30??? I don't think he knew what he was talking about.
