So my local store has been really cool with me using the computers, staff has dubbed me 'the deal man,' etc etc...if you guys found a penny item that they wouldn't let you keep and made you pay last clearance price, would you call corporate? I wouldn't want to mess up my local HD 'relationship' lol What do you think? Am I crazy?

you can pay last clearance price, then call corporate after you leave and either get refunded or get a gift card for the difference. last time I did that, I got a gift card, which was fine with me. it was delivered to my house 3 days later.

I scanned about half of them and the sco person comes over and apologizes for not getting to me quicker, scans 1 and counts the remainder. He says "Are you all set, anything else"?

I was no all set, thanks.

He then says, "Have a great night, do you need help to load into car"?

When the worker got he box off the shelf he asks me how many I want, I said all of them, he said that works for me takes the box off the shelf and puts it in the cart.

I was waiting for more to happen; getting manager, calling corporate but nothing happened.

Where are these fabled stores where they HELP you buy penny items, and even go as far as getting more off the shelf for you?

Reminder: they give you a $1 gift card for every penny receipt lol.

I feel like this is a good way for them to realize they need to tighten inventory controls though?

Nice! I was actually at that one around this time last year, have family in the Lake George area that was having a get together. At the time I didnt find squat, but its not exactly a location I can just up and go to (200+ miles from home)

I am always willing to pay the last clearance price, and to show appreciation. Still a great deal and it leave you in good graces at the store. When I am out of town, etc. I will be a bit more aggressive about calling Corporate. (scorched earth policy)

Kind of how I feel as well. I have yet to have to call corporate. Stores here seem to have pretty good policy.

I guess it depends on the item too. Would I call for a penny clamp, or other small item probably not, but would likely call for a power tool, or tool chest etc.

I paid the last clearance price for an American Standard whirlpool tub. I could only imagine if I called corporate and ended up with it for a penny. Didnt want to get "my store" in trouble though, because I feel like there are more opportunities for them to help me in the future that I would lose out on (case and point: the free Husky tool set from a month ago)

Ended up returning the tub anyway since the wife didnt like it and no one on CL wanted it.

lol ya.. I just sent in the whole stack of 13 receipts I had last time. I wouldn't suggest sending in only a penny receipt or 2. I figured they would combine them all for 1 gift card, not give a gift card for each receipt

The 11% match of the Menard's gift card rebate is live this week. The rules make is sound like it is limited to select stores which probably means those in the same market as Menard's. However, I doubt HD has a good enforcement mechanism.

I can't wait to see if my last rebates went through. Was buying items for my bathroom remodel ~$800 worth and told the lady I had a 11% off rebate could she print me an extra copy so I don't have to photocopy it. See took 11% off and said she didn't want to print another copy.......... OK! See listed the 11% off as customer satisfaction. So I submitted that for another 11% off. Waiting to see if that come through.

Plus I just bought $80 of milwaukee hand tools last night on .03 status so I'll be using this rebate for them. THANKS!

I think they started carrying those sometime mid to late last year, so they might not be cleared out for a while.

While Mayhew are great, check out the 3 piece set that Sears usually puts on sale during Black Friday. $20.00 is usually the going price and they are US made (not by Mayhew but by another reliable name)

I just picked that set up 2 weeks ago. it is nice ~
also picked up some of the cheap US made snap ring pliers

The 481/482 chest dropped this week for us up here. If you know of any, I would look for them ASAP.

Confirmed the Husky 34" bottom and 33" top boxes are on clearance for $60 and $40 respectively

My store said they had 3 of each in stock but I did not verify. The in store PC has been pretty accurate presumably because they did an inventory a month or so ago like most stores around here, so Im guessing the 3 count is correct.

Have you checked on these since. As you may have seen, mine dropped penny this week.

They havent been returned in clearance searches that I do for Husky (sorry, too lazy to page through every page of Husky stuff without refining it to clearance) so I suppose they possibly did drop to a penny.

Next time Im there Ill search by the SKU and then see if I can even find them in store.

This Husky 1/2 drive 10 piece metric socket set is $5.83($22.97 regularly) in Athens, GA. I did not note the date on the tag. Around 5-6 in the clearance section for the tools which is currently the end cap of one of the tool aisles. COO: China.

go to self checkout, have the attendant punch in the SKU, then tell her corporate policy is they have to sell it for a penny. Have your cell phone out and make sure you have Customer Care's number as one of your contacts.

I'm interested in this as well. There are 3 of the echo chainsaws at my store that are recons and do not have any tag besides the "this item only discount" that still rings up $180.

take that tag off (watch for cameras lol), bring it to SCO, give them the correct SKU number, then follow what I just posted above.

Found in the system 5 nest battery operated smoke detectors @$25. 3 people searched the cages at CS and the whole isle the smoke detectors are located in. No dice...... There must be a box somewhere in the store maybe eventually I'll find them when they penny out. Anyone else want to look its the Succussuna NJ store.

yea not on Tapatalk.. I find Tapatalk to be annoying to use on my phone. I only use it to post pictures, since I can't post pictures to GJ from my iPhone for some reason (keeps closing Safari)

Went on a road trip this morning to pick up an old craftsman drill press and hit a number of HDs.

Not much to show for it though...one whole house surge protector and two of the Milwaukee 12v drill combos sku 1000014969 at 25 each.

One store still had the echo chaninsaws at full price and the other stores had zero to be found. Deals are slim in these parts lately...

Found one price pfister ashfield single handle vessle faucet. ..rang up as see associate...couldnt locate price or anyone from plumbing to help. Had to leave since i was on lunch break..does anyone have a sku for this? Also seen a cart in the back with sign saying found during shelf diving with looked like old dusty items that were missing pieces for all..
