For what?HD corp threatened me with a lawsuit
Is this real?I had an email from them this morning with copies of all the receipts of purchases of penny items I have made over the past 4 months, questioning how I came to find them.
If you think they aren't watching, think again...![]()
I don't know if it's any good, and I would bet that it isn't for heavy cutting, but Home Depot has their Ryobi 10" 18v chain saw with a lithium battery & charger on clearance for $30.03

$100.03. I think they are going to penny status this week
All joking aside. For all we know some of the very HD employees that hide stuff from us could be reading this.

How many people have gotten echo to send them missing parts? Mine are on the way just curious to hear results
What stores are you seeing that price. everything in my neck of the woods shows full price.
Based on what SPN and others have said, sounds like the first to complain got them, but as more and more complained they got more stringent.
I think that Yu have to threaten them that Yu will return the item if Yu don't get the missing parts. And that when Yu bought it, HD store said either buy it or they were going to return item back to manufacture for store credit. Also that manufacture should send missing parts.I just did it this morning
Makita Pro-Contrator Gloves
$5.02
Two sizes large and extra large (they run small)
Former special buy so look for a cardboard stand wherever your store puts the special buys.

^ This. I've been thinking the exact same thing but I've been keeping my thoughts to myself.Top handle arborist saws are not for the inexperienced. The top handle provides little leverage to counteract kickback and also allows 1 handed operation, which can reduce the usability of the chain brake. I honestly wonder if HD is discontinuing carry the 330T because top handle saws really should not be purchased by your typical homeowner.

I climb trees with spikes and straps and use arborist saws. I agree that arborist saws are not the right choice for someone who isn't climbing.
Arborist saws are special purpose limbing saws that are designed for one handed operation, to be used in those cases where you're in a tree, you need one hand to stay in the tree, and you only have one free hand for the saw. One-handed operation of a rear handle saw is prohibitively dangerous because those saws are even more likely to kick back by pivoting on the handle when you don't have a hand on the chain brake.
Arborist saws are more dangerous that regular saws and they aren't intended for the homeowner. When I saw HD clearancing them I had the exact same thought you had -- they've got to be blowing them out to shield themselves from liability. Putting arborist saws in the hands of the average homeowner is probably something they want to avoid. The only problem is that by blowing them out at cheap prices, even more people who aren't familiar with them are likely to be exposed to them, just because of the discounted price.
Be careful out there. And if anyone has one they want to get rid of in the Chicago area, please let me know. They've never been available here.
I had to make threats to homelite csr otherwise they weren't going to send anything for pressure washer because I paid $29. Until I asked for supervisor action.I made no threats, all I said was HD said it's as is and that contact echo I would pay for the parts but $16 for shipping and handling is ridiculous, so I just lucky![]()
Has anyone had experience with HD refusing to honor a Lowe's 10% off coupon? I bought the M12 Fuel Combo at full price ($199) the other day and had forgotten my coupon. The cashier said to bring back my receipt with the coupon to customer service and they would adjust the price. Did exactly that today and the MOD said that they no long match percentage coupons but only item-specific deals. WTF?
Last I checked the cross-over between HD and Lowe's stocked brands is pretty limited (Dewalt?). Not sure if they changed policy or I just got a bad MOD.
On a side-note, I noticed the M12 Driver/Speaker combo is down to $78. They're just inching that one along...
Picked up another pfister ashfield today for a penny. No problems this time, went through self checkout when they were busy! Wasn't sure what else to look for without spreadsheet though.
Just because you don't have the spreadsheet doesn't mean you can't sort through the posts and find other items.

A saw with a rear handle has a longer torque arm; it is designed to give you more leverage, and is less likely to kick back for that reason. Arborist saws are a different animal. I agree, best to use 2 hands.I hear what you are saying but would argue that an arborist saw used with two hands carefully is no more dangerous than a regular saw.
Of course the instructions that are written by the lawyers tell you not to use it one-handed ... for the same reason that the Q-Tip instructions tell you never to put them into your ear.I would also say that no saw is designed for use with one hand. Correct me if I am wrong but nowhere in any top handle manuals will you find them promoting one handed use. It is designed to be more balanced yes, and yes you can use it with one hand, at risk of course.

I did this. No luck either with the backback blower, pressure washer, chainsaw, grill, toolbox, etc.
I also scanned all rafters as well as searched for clearance tagged items, then scanned them myself looking for deals not listed. I scanned a ton of faucets, and the aforementioned Milwaukee 3/8 drill/radio combo (sku not clearance tag) and it is indeed $78, was hoping it would be less.
Anyone confirm if the CS-490 and CS-590 went penny status at whatever stores had it for clearance price?
