What are the chances of going back to the store and adding a 10% off coupon to a purchase? I completely forgot to use it for that $475 Traeger. That's almost $50 I'd be saving with the coupon. Would I be better off calling the 800 number for HD to try and get the difference back? Should I go back to the store and do a return/rebuy? It's still the same price. I just want to add the coupon. It's a Lowes movers coupon. Thanks in advance!

You could try just taking your receipt in and asking. Return/Rebuy seems to vary by store.

Whats the easiest way to get a 10% off or more coupon that can be used in store? Thanks a lot.

Google Lowes movers coupon and sign up for one. Or if you have a local Harbor Freight, you can try for their 20% off but it's hit or miss whether they will take it.

Easy as pie. I have done return/rebuy on clearance price going lower and included a coupon discount on top of it. No manager or anything.
One thing to watch is when clearance bought item goes to penny items. Then Yu will lose the item.

Another thing to watch out for is if they originally sold an item to you on a generic SKU. Tried this the other day, bought at store A (penny item charged last clearance on generic SKU), tried return/rebuy at store B, store B wasn't having it because it was coming up penny and store A used generic SKU. They said take it back to store A.

Basically I was trying to get around having to call corporate on my home town store.

Question for those of you that were around here for this promotion last year: Can we expect any "sweeteners" on top of this promotion during the upcoming Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales?

Sweet N Low or Equal or Splenda? What do you mean by sweeteners?

The best deals last year I found after BF when they started dropping the price of some kits/items. It seemed like they hiked up the prices of a few things before BF so unless you bought really early on in the promo, your best bet was to wait a bit.

They also had a lot of BOGO tool combos (Milwaukee, mostly) after Jan 1 which you could stack with the promo if you bought online. Have it shipped to store and just refuse the "kit" part of it.

No go on blower. Basically stores discretion on selling display models. I have decided that all stores not in the northeast ****. Also corporate said I should not be removing display models from the shelf.

LOL You guys keep calling corporate left and right and pretty soon they'll change their policies to close this loop hole.

And you know corporate is probably eating it all up.

"Sure we'll help you get that item for a penny....hope you enjoy it because it will be your last"

We are probably doing more work to help their inventory practices than their actual stores are!

Not a local store and only second time I have called. Now I know the policies better so no need to call unless it's something I really want.

Be grateful for the 75% off, the more people call the better the chances of hd changing there policies and everybody loses out

I'd like to find a penny deal as much as the next guy, but people who are calling Corp are you buying stuff you really really need or are you selling this stuff for a huge profit margin? I have never saw anything I needed bad enough to spend time calling Corp and going what some of you have gone through to get a deal from a company that doesn't want to sell me a product, but the chase sure is fun.

I agree that customer care should use sparingly, not for 15 or 20 dollar item. Pick your battles. Now back to deals.

The Milwaukee bits are now down to $1 in my store. Still not worth it when a new pack of 20 is $20 and has a case

My store had some S&D Milwaukee bits marked from roughly $17 to $15. I wish they'd drop dramatically. At $15 per bit I can still do way better from Enco for a known cutting tool brand-name.

Some good points are being made here -- calling 800 C/S to gripe about penny deals that won't materialize because the manager is trying to block them may be a good short term plan but it's not a good long term plan.

In the long run fighting over pennies alienates you from the store management and in the long run that's only going to hurt your ability to get deals. Take it from someone who's accumulated a lot of very expensive stuff he's needed at deep discounts: it's better to consistently get 75% off on expensive things you really need, and to have store management assist you in locating merchandise -- than it is to get 100% off on things that you don't really need, fight with store management, and have them recognize you as a scam artist when they see you in the store. In all honesty, playing the penny game amounts to scam artistry. Yeah, we don't like to admit to it, but it is what it is.

In the big picture, it's never good to let your short term greed get in the way of your long term greed. Play the long game and you'll enhance your winnings. Play the short game and you may win now and lose later.

Cool thanks for the info. .will head to the store to try it. Is bringing the item necessary? It's big and heavy and I can't carry it on my own.

In other news, finally received my blower parts! Only needed the tubes. Ready for fall:evil:

Hello
Does anyone have a receipt for the Echo PB-500 blower that is not a penny. My blower is missing the tubing. Echo USA said they would help if I sent them the receipt.

Any one have an Ashfield faucet. Could not find any at the .03 price. Brushed nickel widespread.

Do what someone else said. Cross out the price on your receipt.

Yeah, or at least the store managers that get an email from corporate will be so pissed that they will make sure there are no penny deals around!

Question to those in the know - where does $**.X5 fall in the spectrum of deals? Don't recall seeing that before.

Nowhere special. Is it clearance? If it is, it might still be full price, but "marked for clearance"

Yeah it's clearance. See the pic of the smart outlet, just above my post with the original question. Works out to be 41.xxxx% off.

That's what I've been wondering but about the $**.00 pricing too. I can do the percentage and find out but it's usually not 75%/25% off. It's sporadic.

$80.03 receipts may very soon be over a month old. not sure if that's important or not for Echo but the receipt has a 30 day return policy
