Just got two of the 29pc Milwaukee bit set for $25ea. All stores back home are out. Probably going to have to check my backpack now haha.

The Norfolk store has one of the black diamond plate shop lights on top shelf above the others if anyone in the area is interested. It would be penny.

They are already suppose to make sure there are no penny deals around. :lol_hitti

I'm pretty sure corporate WANTS to hear about penny deals. Then they can give the managers **** for not doing their jobs. Notice how every manager tells you they don't sell penny deals? I think they really know they can, but they don't want to get **** from corporate, and tell all of the employees they can't sell them

Corporate likes to hear when stores are not doing what they are supposed to do

Is anyone having problems with the instore computer app? Saturday I checked the cs590 chainsaw and it showed 100.03, 0 in stock but showed stock of other stores. Today it just shows item not found. Trying to watch the in stock of other stores.

Is there a way to still see if other stores have it in stock?

Go to the other store! :)

I've found the inventory counts of other stores is far from accurate.

So if the saw was returned to my local store would it even show up in their system, and if so would be last clearance price of $100.03, or 0.01? I was hoping it would go to $100.03 at the other store but now I don't know if I should wait or try the buy and return thing. Thx

These just dropped. First price was $40 off of original $59. Now $25.

Funny that these just hit the 7 status. They never went on clearance here in AZ (that I saw anyway) when they were smoking them out everywhere else. I scanned a bunch of them and checked the computers but they were always full price. What's weird is that a lot of the racks cleared out anyway and now I see this box at first level clearance. Anyway....

Wasn't 17.97 the msrp all along? I never saw 22.97

Same with the meters, it was liked they raised the msrp then discounted them to the 9x.** price and no one bought them.

Maybe the only way to check now is to ask an employee with a hand held to check the sku. As soon as they see its a penny they'll tell you they don't sell it anymore. Tell them you understand THEY don't but can they check surrounding stores because they might still be on clearance there. Then they'll click the stores tab and you'll see inventory, if there is any. Remember, those numbers might be off anyway.

Also, if there are any showing up at another store, that employee can't check the price at any other store but that one from the hand held.

Just bought two sets today. Still a bunch left in the overhead above the bits at the Norfolk store if anyone is interested. Non on the clearance shelf though so if you are willing to wait they will likely keep dropping in price up there.

Any idea when the Behr garage floor kits will go to .01? I saw a whole shelf full of the grey and tan last week but decided to wait another week. Was planning on checking again this week.

I saw quite a few on the shelves last Tuesday at both of my stores and they were gone today and no tags. I didn't check the computer though.

You stop by the one on Military Highway, by the airport? I always hit that one when I fly into Norfolk too. It's got an awesome tool department.

I don't think this is such a great deal. Never saw them as high as the "original price" shown here. I bought a couple two-packs of them last year about this time for about 11 or 12 bucks.

Found both gray and tan at two of the stores I visited today. It is still $20.03 in the Washington/Maryland/Virginia area. I was hoping it had dropped, but not yet. Hopefully later in the week, or next week at the latest.

The Ariston 4 gallon water heaters have hit a penny.

Found one, purchased it at SCO, and after the receipt printed the SCO cashier noticed it rang up for a penny and said she needed to call the mgr. Since I already had the receipt in hand I figured I'd be nice and wait for the mgr to come over. Big mistake! Long story short he took the item away and kept trying to get my personal information "so we could work something out" and he kept saying that I must work for or had previously worked for HD because I knew too much about their store operations if I was able to find an item that rang up at a penny. I asked him to call HD corporate to discuss the issue but he refused and said he didn't have to do what corporate said anyway. The whole time I was very courteous and never raised my voice but made it known that I was not going to leave without the item that I had paid the current price for and I was holding the receipt for. At this point he threatened to call the police on me for trespassing! During this time since he wouldn't call corp, I did (only the 2nd time I've ever done so) and the corp rep called the store to tell him that he needed to let me leave with the item. After the call he kept stonewalling and telling me he doesn't have to do what corp says but while I was still talking with the corporate rep he spoke with someone else on his phone and then ended up relenting and letting me leave with the heater.

While I agree that we shouldn't be calling HD corp every time we get denied the opportunity to purchase a penny item because it's definitely going to limit our chances to find these deals in the future, in this case where the mgr literally took an item out of my hands that I'd already paid for and then threatened to call the police on me for trespassing, I do think that corporate needs to hear about that type of behavior from their store employees.

For stuff like that you should have recorded the encounter with video and ask the manager "so the official statement of Home Depot is..." or "In your official capacity in speaking for Home Depot..."

Wow! I'm glad you stood your ground. I'm not for calling corporate on every deal. I've only called once and that time the assistant managers/head cashiers were being pricks.

I checked them yesterday here they were still 60.03. I wonder is the price has changed here. It was my assumption that the prices change on Mondays.

Ya that's where I got the bits. I forget what inventory on the showed but it was quite a few.

And that shop light of course. Didn't really look for a ton else except the blower and chainsaws. I really wanted that blower in Chesapeake!

Yeah, I noticed that they don't have very good reviews. I'm probably going to resell the two gallons that I had planned to use. I'm getting $50/bucket for the other four buckets that I bought via Craigslist.

Thanks for pointing that out. I won't bother with them now. Probably saved me lots of headaches!
