Last time I had six items that said item not found. The head cashier called the Mgr. He refused to even leave the office. Said don't sell it. End of story. It was nothing worth the trouble.

Those pipes are from the 580 if one of them has the metal ring on the end.

I happened on the only PB500 I've ever seen and it was a display. It was missing, air filter, spark plug, filter cover, gas cover, tubes, everything. The carb was still on so that was good. No sku or label attached so no way to ring it up on sco.

Talked to two mgrs in the area, showed them it was the old model and offered to buy it. They looked baffled for 5 seconds and said lets see what the last price was. 80.03 I thought. She said she could do that price. I was going to ask for 50% off since everything was gone but didn't want to deal with the hassle with Echo. So we walked back over and I unboxed the 580 to put on the shelve and said hey is it ok if I take what is missing off this one and put it one mine. Said I looked for the box for it but couldn't find it. She said we just throw all those away and said sure. So she watched me molest the 580 and rip everything off. I don't even know if the filter cover and filter fit the 500. I hope they do. Don't know if the pipes fit either but they have that metal ring attached to the pipe with Echo on it. The old 500 model did not have that ring. At least the pipes I saw in a 500 box weeks ago.

I had the sku but I'm sure when I said here is the sku and it rang a penny it would be no good. HD backs up stores for not selling display models.

The number you quoted for the SKU was correct. I saw a PB-500H display card at one store - no blower - and it stated that if you wanted more info to check the HD website and provided the 844-292 SKU. That is how I knew that the one that I found today should ring up either $80.03 or a penny.

The PB-500H that I mentioned I was going to go look at soon is also a display at another store. It appears to be complete - but I didn't bother with it until I saw the other listing on this site for a PB-500H, as I was unaware of the fact that it was also discontinued like the PB-500T. Do not know if there are any tags on the machine so I hope they will work with me if I provide the above SKU #. However I am not too optimistic given my experience with this store in the past. They argued about selling a penny item when the last clearance price was .53 (found several cable clamps - original price $2.39 each). Will keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best - plan on giving the other blower to my son if I am lucky enough to get it.

Lets hope that the pipes fit both of our machine. Looking at the manual the only thing I believe that I am missing are two cable loops (attaches the throttle cable to the hose) which if necessary I can attach with either velcro or a couple of calbe ties.

Only milwaukee pliers I have seen discounted are the reaming pliers, the ones in your photo are msrp. I keep thinking they will go down since the new ones have all red grips but no go yet.

Seems like a nice little set.

The #2 Phillips ***** from milwaukee. It's amazing how bad they are. It's like they're softer metal than the actual screws. I've stripped the bits before the screws. I told the Milwaukee rep their bit was **** and she said. .."I know, the #2 right? Everyone tells me they're horrible." It's like they don't even sit in the screw right.....or maybe it's me :headscrat

Had a great day yesterday. Started off by selling a garage door opener for a nice chunk. Then I went to King of Prusdia for a deep clearance washer they were supposed to have. The washer was nowhere to be found, but I did find an under counter led light for a penny, and a new Ryobi 10" chainsaw for a penny. I also snagged an echo 330-t chainsaw for a penny. It was a display model, and the box was up above, within yellow ladder reach. Saw was complete, with all accessories and paperwork in the box. :rocker: No problems at checkout.

That was all at the first store. Went to another in the area, and the computer said they had 2 of Husky 34" cabinets (1001002482) for $60, and 2 of the 33" tops for (1001002481) $40. Never did find the second top, but I now have the 34" bottom I needed for my larger lathe, and should be able to sell the set for enough to pay for it and a wood top. :D.

They have just released their second generation shockwave bits that's why the old ones are getting marked down. The new ones are supposed to be much better. I had a shockwave bit set and the number 2 Phillips bits got torn up fast just like you mentioned. They didn't last long with an impact driver.

^ ^ For $2.53 those ShockWave bits probably will still be . . . .
. . . . . . 100x better than Black & Decker at full price !! ;)

His saving grace was it had the tag with the sku on it.

I had the sticker on the shelf with the 844-292 SKU on it which was on the card thing below the display.

My issue was that once she saw it was a penny she got in defensive mode and did not want to negotiate at all. Looking back I should have played dumb and just asked if they would sell the display before trying to buy it at SCO. Then when it came up penny asked if she could do last clearance.

All lessons learned...

If I had a sku on paper I would have tried like you. Then tried the last clearance price.

But at that point she thought I was thieving her. "I can't sell a "non functioning" display" is what she said about 100 times.

I said I don't care, put "no refund" on the receipt or something but...

Anyone here willing to sell me one or the Ariston 4 gallon water heaters? I need to buy a point of use heater for my slop sink in my detached garage and it seems the stores around here have already replaced it with the new Bosch unit...

Have you looked at the Bosch ae115 instant water heaters on eBay? They make a ae125 but you wouldn't need it for one sink.

Not familiar with that unit. Im just looking for something simple to get hot water in my garage. I've got 1/2" pex run and was planning on using a simple 120v instant hot water heater to fulfill my needs. Then noticed some folks here were picking up the Aritson 4 gallon units for cheap and figured that was exactly what I needed so was hoping someone has an extra that they'd be willing to sell to me.

New here and first post. I think I have my answer from SPN1025's post above, but still figuring this stuff out, I want to make sure I'm right. Went to a local HD yesterday and among the clearance stuff they had two Drill Doctor XP2's. Clearance price was $70 down from $99. The date on the tag was from this past July. Went to the pro desk, did a price check on the computer there, showed 0 in stock. Took one to self checkout, did a price check and showed up as $70. Since they show as not in stock does that mean the $70 price is the best I can expect it to get, especially this long after the date on the clearance tag? Thanks.

So the price check app SKU search showed 0 in stock (which is irrelevant), but I am sure it showed $70 if that's what SCO said. $70 is the price, stock qty has no impact on getting a deal. Now if the app had came up as item not found then that's a different story.

I thought HD just had some of the point-of-service instant water heaters as a deal of the day a couple days ago.

Not as nice as a penny or whatever but they were decently priced.

Keep an eye out, they might run them again as deal of the day.

Ahh good to know, thanks!

Yeah I'm not expecting someone to sell one to me for a penny just havent had any luck finding one as of yet. I started poking around when they were priced at $62 as I thought that was a great deal but no luck unfortunately. Hoping someone here has a couple that they wouldn't mind parting ways with...

That would be awesome, thanks!

That seems like a great deal judging by the original price but Im not sure a tankless setup would be worth the added cost for my minimal needs. Thanks for the heads up though!

No longer there.
