I found a nice hose reel in a semi local store for $25.03. The UPC is 76473671007. I didn't get a picture of the tag with the SKU, but here's a picture of the front of the box - ImageUploadedByTapatalk1447853941.127657.jpg

Now I just need a nice 100' hose. I'd been searching for a hose reel for the 4 years we've been in our house now. And yes, I have two spigots. The red handle is hot water for filling my insulated buckets that I use in the winter for my window cleaning business. Keeps my hands from freezing while working.

These chargers should be hitting the penny mark soon I would think...they've been the current price for a couple months it seems.:dunno:

I think they are 9.53 around here. Weird how different stores have different clearance prices. As mentioned, should be hitting penny soon though I would think.

so I called homelite and echo for the missing parts on the display items I bought...and they told me to take hike....even from their dept manager...they are basing on price for denial...$29 washer and penny blower..... for denial....so I am wondering will they deny the warranty of items if it goes bad....like the pump or motors.....

damn...I guess too many people calling....what else do I do....
hell...Echo is missing two end tubes,,,air filter cover, filter,,, and spark plug and ignition wire has been cut.....And the washers were missing both the wands/hose/nozzle heads.....
actually one of the washers was in the factory box and new except for missing parts. but even then homelite said no nothing for $29 washers..

what next?

for anyone who can't get their Echo blower tubes, they really aren't that expensive. www.gardnerinc.com is where I ordered mine.

One complete tube assembly for one blower
Tube tip and knob/thumbscrew for the trigger handle for another blower
Chainsaw air filter and plastic thumbscrew for air filter cover

cost me $110 after shipping. I got a $100 check cut to me from HD corporate to cover the costs of missing parts.

Tube pieces are between $7 to $12 each, so if you're only missing one part, like the tip, it won't cost you much.

Not sure how much a pressure washer wand will cost you though. You can look up the Echo part numbers on their website www.echo-usa.com

I think the key is don't tell them how much you paid. If you're asked to fax a copy of the receipt, cross out the prices like someone else said.
I got my success by emailing the HD CEO, who forwarded it to HD executive support. I sent a lengthy email describing the situation, gave receipt numbers, serial numbers, store numbers purchased at, all part numbers missing, but I never mentioned the prices.

Do those allen keys/wrenches have the size stamped on them? When I looked a couple weeks ago I could not find the size anywhere.

I do not see it stamped no. Looks like size is only listed on the cardboard.

nope...I am keeping the echo blower..like spin said...2 tubes are only like $20
air fliter/cover is like another $10....but ignition cable/module is a problem $$$$...unless I solder another one so it reaches the sparkplug..
I read reviews where this echo blower makes the toro handheld blower look like childs play...

They don't "have" to sell the displays. CS won't help you, it is store's choice. If you call back, they will also have a log of the call you just made the day before and will somewhat rehash what the other person already told you.

A different manager may have had a different opinion, but as I mentioned, the corporate policy is the same in that displays are not required to be sold.

Thanks for the info, I thought about it today and no big deal. I gave it one shot don't need it that bad...

Keep the hunt on.....

Had a meeting out of town today, so I stopped at 2 Depots in the area. While at the second store, I saw an associate walking around with a handheld scanning clearance tags. I asked him what he was doing, and he said checking to see if any of the clearance tags needed updating. While I was standing there he found some light bulbs that had been reduced, but still had the old price tag. I asked if this was something he did regularly. He said weekly, but not always the same day. I was hoping to figure out markdown day. I went on to ask if this was store protocol or HD. He said all stores are supposed to do it, but he knows that some don't.

No warranty on penny items?!? So what?

nope..echo rep on phone said....warranty is still good for the penny receipt and that I would have to register it online for warranty....
its just that they are not going to send free missing parts based on the purchase price by receipt....if I paid retail...then they could help me...

Went by the location that has the two Drill Doctors I'd asked about last week. Still marked $70, but in the computer they're $60. Took them 5 months to get around to marking them down another $10. At this rate they'll be at a decent price in about 3 years lol

This was at one of my local stores in Maine. This wasn't in Va.

Picked up 7 of these in a Maryland store this morning (thanks for posting your find 06GMC.5.3L). All of them sold for a penny - left a few behind that did not have the cardboard sleeve on them. Went to the store early to see what was happening at the Pro Event - nothing at all - all of the sales are available to anyone as part of the pre-Black Friday sale (Spin - you were right about the price of the Milwaukee Tool Box). Did pick up a hat, a couple of carpenter pencils and a bumper sticker that says "The Home Depot - My Toy Store" which my wife can attest too.

After purchasing the hex wrenches at the SCO, the attendant came over and grabbed my bag and told me that she needed to look at them as they rang up wrong - quote "they can't be a penny - we can't sell them if they are a penny". She rescanned the wrenches which her handheld and they rang up a penny. She stopped the Head Cashier who also stated that they could not sell them for a penny - but noted that I had already paid for same so there was nothing they could do. Talked with the Attendant - have dealt with her in the past and have found her to be very friendly and easy to deal with, and told her that the Store Manager and I have talked in the past and he agreed with the Corp Policy that if a customer finds it and it rings up a penny they can buy it for same. She seemed to accept same and asked if I wanted to buy any more of the wrench sets before they got removed. Told her that the rest were missing their sleeves and that I was satisfied with what I had. She thanked me for telling her where the others were (there were only four more hangin on the clearance end cap) as she went off to get them.

Did not find anything else in the store so took off. Plan to go out again tomorrow. Hope my luck is better than today.

The manufacturer warranty should still be valid regardless of the price IMO. The missing parts I can see why they wouldn't want to deal with you. On the other hand, it should be HD's problem in that they are the ones that lost the parts in the first place. The box was shipped from Echo/Homelite with all parts, then it shouldn't be their problem to replace parts the store lost.
