I put three pfister Ashville's on ebay for 79 + fs and they sold almost immediately.

I had one sell last week, but guy hasn't paid yet... Emailed him again today, and if no go I guess I will have to open an unpaid item case.

USPS still does this and can it be used for online HD orders?

In my experience, online orders will only accept coupons if you're having the item shipped and not doing the local pickup thing. And usually you just tell them you have a 10% coupon (I do the online chat) and they apply it after you place your order. The initial receipt will show the full price, but when the item ships and you're actually charged, it will reflect the discount.

Honestly the online ordering is so much more pleasant than in store where it seems to be an increasingly bigger deal when you have a competitors coupon. I had one store's MOD flat-out refuse the Lowe's 10% off coupon saying I needed an item-specific coupon.

No, it's actually Lowes 10% coupon but HomeDepot will match when you present in person.

Possible you could do online chat and see if HD rep will honor the Lowes 10% coupon.

Part of the Pro event, HD is discounting the Ridgid mobile miter stand by 50% ($99.99) for today. Pretty good deal on a well-received stand.

I picked up the Ridgid 12" compound slider back in July on clearance and have been using it on the floor ever since. While this deal is tempting, I'm not in need for the mobility. I need to get off my *** and just build the miter stand for my shop...

YMMV obviously, different people will get different results. I've never gotten a % off coupon to work at any store around here, same with HF coupons. They will only take coupons and price matches for the EXACT same item, same model number.

Not that I'm complaining about the 10%.. I find my own way to get a 10% discount, whether through the "customer service" discount or military discount.
Plus I get tons of the $5 off $50 coupons for doing the receipt surveys.

If you paid retail, and you were sold a complete kit, then yes.
If you paid a penny and you had full knowledge that you were buying something defective/incomplete. then no.

you're kidding, right? you don't seriously expect anyone to give you a do-over after you've scored a touchdown, do you? :headscrat

to me, getting the item for a penny is a fantastic deal. I'd be doing a chicken-walk in the end zone, even if I need to buy some parts to round out the purchase.

i'd even be doing the chicken walk if i were able to buy the kit at the 03 price point. i certainly would consider myself lucky if i got something at a penny, regardless of whether it's incomplete or not.

There are two different issues here, one being getting missing parts, and one of warranty.

If I pay a penny and knowingly purchase an incomplete display I would first try and get HD to get the missing items (someone on here said they were required to sell something in working order, not sure if that is true or not but). If that was a no go, then as you mention it is already a smoking deal and buying the missing parts isn't a huge issue. It's more the principal behind HD losing the parts, then telling you to go to the manufacturer because they screwed they (HD) screwed up when it in fact has nothing to do with the original manufacturer. Never would I expect the manufacturer to produce the parts or file a warranty claim on the item for them to produce the parts.

If I buy something whether it be complete or not for a penny or for any price for that matter, the manufacturer should honor the warranty on that product regardless of what I paid. The price paid has nothing to do with the product performing as it should or not, and/or parts breaking or being defective. With that said, I wouldn't feel as bad if something did break since the initial cost was so low, but regardless the price I paid in no way reflects the quality or lack thereof of the original product. What I am not trying to say here is that one should place a warranty claim for missing parts. I am saying of the parts you knowingly purchased, engine, carbs, recoils, etc. those should most definitely still be warrantied. For that matter, any replacement parts you need to buy to make the unit complete should then also be covered as well.

The blower tubes are a bad example since there isn't much to break, but if I bought a pressure washer that didn't have a wand and I went ahead and bought a replacement wand, then I would expect that replacement wand to be covered under the washer's original warranty or have a warranty of it's own regardless of whether I paid $29 or $399 for the washer.

When you buy a car, the warranty comes with it regardless of the price you pay. If you buy a loaded model vs. a base model , the warranty is the same.

What it seems like you are discussing here is how I or someone would personally feel if something happened to break on a cheaply purchased item. As I said, if I got something for a good price and it broke, I wouldn't feel as bad as if I had paid full price for the item and it broke.

So if I go to Sears and buy a clearance socket set that is heavily discounted, you are saying that Sears shouldn't have to warranty the items because I got them for such a good price?

Thanks guys, The problem I see is that if Lowes does not sell the item and the item I want is on sale at HD, so I think that angle would not fly. Any suggestions?

I would agree that HD online chat is best

Not for $2.32. If it was $50 maybe. Choose your battles wisely.

My local store a clearance tag on the M12 jigsaws for $60 down from $99. The spot was empty but the store was supposed to have 2 in stock, couldn't find them anywhere. Might want to check your local store, looks like they are not going to carry them in the store anymore.

Phone is screwed up right now or I would have grabbed a picture of the tag.

M12 12-Volt 3/8 in. Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill/Driver Hackzall Combo Kit

$99

They have these in all my local store for black Friday displays, think it was $149 I'll have to check if the price is good in store and it triggers the 150 off deal for the m18 kit there doing right now making it under $69

Don't tell slickdeals but it sure does!

And price in store is $99. Had some signs up still showing $149, but even more signs up (and bigger) showing $99.

Easiest penny deal today! I found a Toro blower right there on the shelf. Went through self checkout and was scanning the wrong barcode so it was coming up not found. The guy came over and scanned the right one and it pulled up .01. I turned around to put a dollar in the register and he told me not to worry about it. Printed out my receipt and told me to have a good day!

Looks like it may have been a return or display since it was all taped up but it looks to have all the pieces.

I wonder if the store would call this a kit and let you do the 150.00 off and add a bare tool and also get this free tool too

OK so has anyone bought and returned these and kept the free tool?

When I've bought these kinds of promos in the past it shows up on the receipt. To get a full refund you have to return it all. It'll say it on the receipt. Max refund $**.** for combo and $**.** for free tool. It's like they split the price on the receipt.

Edit:
Now, I've bought stuff at the Milwaukee events. Usually they have few batteries, etc if you purchase the expensive tool combos. Those batteries (no packaging) have the event name written on it and they walk you to the register. Cashier doesn't scan them. The rep walks out HD with you and hands them to you. I did return those though. I bought a fuel sawzall and fuel circular saw for about $400+ tax lol. Kept the 5.0 batteries.

Pretty dry run today. Friend of mine that works in the tool department is doing inventory right now. He said that they go through every single box in the entire store. So probably won't find any old penny stuff, but inventory should be more accurate for right now. Did buy a few of the promotional saw blades just in case they don't make it to clearance.

The Ridgid are not even on clearance here. I don't have a planer, but I thought I'd keep an eye on the dewalt, but I think I would rather have the Ridgid.
