If the Display is not locked down, put it in your cart and take it to SCO. Have the SKU with you. Tell the cashier the SKU have here key it and have your penny in hand. If she keys it in pay right away. Then deal with the MOD.

Not always. I tried that and they refused to key it in. They said they had to verify the sku from now on and not take customers word.

When they saw it and I told them what it was after it was no go all the way. They said if a customer finds a penny item they let it be sold but they don't have to sell old display items.

I got last clearance price.

I found a Echo Timber Wolf at a store in southern NY. Its does not show up on the computer. Not as clearance, inactive etc. Its on the shelf but not a display item. What are my chances on getting this as a clearance item? I kind of hate calling any ones attention to it because I know a store employee will abscond with it. Any thoughts?

When they scan it it'll ring up as a penny. They will try to fight u and sell it at last clearance price. Up to you whether you want to fight back and call corporate or just settle for last clearance price. Which would be 75% regular price. If it's the big chainsaw last clearance price would be $100.03.

All those CE tech things are still .03 here. I'd imagine this week should be penny.

Of everything I looked at today, everything with a date of 8/25 or newer was still .03. Everything older than 8/25 was penny

There was a lot of lawn and garden stuff with older tags that still hasn't pennied out for some reason. Planters, citronella candles, outdoor vases, etc.

You may have either typed it wrong or you just didn't search it enough times then. You would have noticed it on clearance before dropping to a penny.

Keep in mind when you search something on the price check app and it says "item not found" you should confirm it 3 or 4 times. Their network ***** and doesn't always give it to you on the first try.

Exactly. Just hit enter again. Then again. And again. Sometimes I go even further (if it's on a higher shelf or think it's a penny and it's an item I really want) and ask maybe someone in lighting that has a handheld. I usually ask some old guy in a completely different department to check a sku for me on his handheld and try and get a look at the screen he's holding to see the price for myself.

I searched chani saw and Echo. Both came up empty. I'm sure it was in the system within the last week or 2.
