Can some one tell me what page or post number gives the description of the markdown/penny process? I seem to remember seeing some one gave the explanation of how it worked. I have been to page 82 and not found it.

Read any post by Spn1025 and he puts all the info you need in his signature including links. For example, post 10694, which is 3 posts above yours has all the information you are asking for.

The only downfall is if the user is on Tapatalk, you can't see signatures.

Yeah we could probably reference last year's info to know almost exactly when they'll drop again. Seems they went $75.04 and then $50.02? Or was it a .06 and .03? I thought there may have been a $25.02 near the end also, but just can't remember.

I don't know why I care, I don't own any 18V Ryobi LOL

FYI - I just checked online stock levels for my local stores and they all have a LOT of the 2 packs listed. One store has 44, another has 39, etc.

While its not as many as last year, its probably enough to get them down to a low clearance price again. Interesting thing is that I only see 2 or 3 on the shelf...not sure where they have the others.

Return policy is 90 days whether purchased online or in store. The policy is right on the website and also printed on your receipt.

http://www.homedepot.com/c/Return_Policy

The price match policy isn't dated, so most likely refers to the price at time of purchase. That's why stores will do a return and rebuy if you ask about a lower price after purchase.

My HD said price adjustments have to be within 7 days of purchase. I had them adjust 5 sets of the BF Milwaukee hole saw kits 39 to 32. I was beyond the 7 days but the shift supervisor ok'd the adjustment.

Not sure why the "price adjustment" would be different than the return policy. What is preventing you from return/rebuy.

Has anyone checked on the Ryobi trimmers this week? Are they still $40.03? How about the Delta Temp2o faucets?

Ryobi is still 40.03 here as of this morning.

The 40 volt trimmer is it the one with 5 year warranty or the 3 year one? I was at one store that had the display for 40 dollars minus the charger. Another store had the new ones and two dusty 3 year warranty ones, picked them up scanned the and it was 169? Maybe not all stores are clearing them out? Anyone have the SKU

question - what is in the box? I looked at the manual and it does not list box contents.

Thanks

The 5 year warranty applies on the packaging that shows only a 3 year warranty just an FYI.

All Ridgid tile saw blades at .02, about 8 different ones. Couldn't find these 2. The spot on the shelf with this sticker had 2 of the wrong model in it, so I'm guessing they counted wrong.

HDX junk. Found these screwdriver sets in the overhead. I'll take them for a penny.

There were a few other HDX tools, such as SAE and Metric wrench sets, but I only took pics of what was in stock. All garbage anyway.

Wouldn't mind finding one of these:

So, I've read through a few dozen pages. I can't really see how stuff is a penny?

I see the items marked down with an .03c is the price...

My local HD has a "clearance" section, with items marked down maybe 5-10%. And they are usually returns, with missing pieces.

What am I missing? I want penny deals!

Don't wanna burst your bubble but if you search for threads with my name/posts, there's one where I bought that exact model hose reel. Let's just say it ain't the cat's meow.

After barely 1 year in the northeast, it's leaking and rusting.

My 2 cent today.

From what I gather, these penny deals are basically searching for discontinued items in the rafters of the store that are never intended to be sold, and scheduled to be returned to the manufacturer for store credit. Then if successful in finding one, trying to convince an unsuspecting store worker to retrieve it, and then argue with the cashier and/or manager to let you have it for a penny.

The whole thing sounds unethical (at best) to me.

Do you leave it outside in the winter?

Not always in the rafters. Most of the time just sitting right on the clearance shelf.

FYI - The Hose Reel is for indoor use only !!!

RE

In the clearance lighting section found a Gorilla step lader from 2014 BF, rang up $0.01.

Picked up 3 boxes of solar lighting that were no longer in the system.

At the self check out, one CSR turns to the other and says "What do we do", 2nd CSR turns to me and says "Merry Christmas"

What kind of water hose reel is specified for indoor use only?

How many people here have regularly used a hose indoors?

Try reading the whole thread, you would then see what you have gathered is mostly incorrect:headscrat Nice blanket statement to say we are all unethical, at best. sigh.

The how has been explained many times and is now a link that anyone can easily find on SPN's sig.

Picked up a few of these earlier. They were hiding in the top stock. Great deal for the price!

Did you just stick them back where they came from?

You may get some more for real cheap in a week or so ;)

No clue what the douche employee did with them...this store is the worst when locating No Home stuff. They all seem to think that if it's marked as clearance and not in the clearance rack then they don't have it...then when I find it they just looked clueless. Sad really...

They are tough on penny items though. Almost a waste of effort. Guess management considers it easier to be dicks to customers than proactively manage inventory :dunno:
