I looked at the Kobalt one and thought to myself....What in the world would I use this for? It is Big and Bulky and I have ratchets and Sockets...... I have seen alot of over-engineered items this year at HD and Lowes.....Kinda funny

Just a little ribbing . . . :bounce: But, on a serious note that little pair of vice grips with the plastic handle.

Be careful when you press down to lock it in place . . . It has been known (plastic) to slip off . . .

What are your plans regarding the mini screw drivers in terms of use ?

Those are just for small jobs around the house get this bought a new TP holder when i remodeled our bathroom this week while i was on vacation had to borrow a screwdriver off a buddy i didnt have one small enough to get to the little set screw it had in it to mount it to the wall.:wtf:

Gotta say, I'm not a fan of those "special buy" Husky tools. I might be willing to give them a fair chance. But they look to be bait to get people into the stores and nothing more.

Can you try that Husky out and tell me if it fits hex sockets better than the Kobalt?

I was less than happy with the Kobalt's "56-in-1" sockets.

I ca do that ill let ya know

The reason I asked is because if you plan on using them on anything that appears to have any such adhesive such as lok-tite etc.

Please ensure you're wearing safety glass's . . . A lot of the cheaper brands / models you will find are not locked in place with a set screw, which allows the user to replace the tip should it break or wear down . . .

Cheaper versions of these tools are simply glued into place and the first time any amount of torque is applied they simply spin free.

Lastly, if the quality is unknown never hover over the work area because a tip can explode off anytime with out notice.

Just a FYI . . .

Let us know how those irwin pliers hold up. I haven't purchased any new irwin stuff since they moved production overseas so I have no idea how well their newer stuff will hold up.

dodge,

All the "ribbing" these guys have been giving you, I thought I would let you know that I was in Harry Epstein's this past week and I just discovered myself that the old American made Vise Grips are still around and probably cost less than the newer ones. Not as pretty though. :) Just saying.
