I just picked up a nine drawer tool box (the stainless steel one) marked down from $300 and something, to $148! This includes the top box, and the lower box. Ball bearing, stainless steel, it is actually not a bad box. I think i am going to grab another one tomorrow to make a work bench. I am sorry about no link, but i am on my phone. Another noteworthy deal; they had a 52" roll cab with a butcher top (i think) for $399. Happy hunting folks!

These were $299 locally in Dec. After a few price reductions, I bought one for $160(with 10% coupon)in Feb. It's really not a bad box and a steal at anything under $200.

I just grabbed another one. This is too good of a deal to pass up. An employee told me they are legitimately marked down; that the price actually was $348.

After putting two of them together, i have noticed the quality of these boxes. They are actually fairly good. Ball bearing, heavy duty casters, the stainless steel is also nice.

Remind me of the big ones Sams was selling years ago for around $700. Might have to go in and see what is what.

My friends bought six sets today. They were listed for 178 but the manager marked them down to 150. BTW it was six friends with one set each. Really good deal, thanks.

Went to the local store after work and they were out but he did a search and said there was one two towns over but I didn't have time. Maybe I'll stop and get lucky when I head that way tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up on this, and the inventory link. I found one nearby, floor model marked $178, rang up as $148, I pointed out two small dents and they dropped it to $120. Great deal!

West Branch, MI. 6 in stock, I bought one set and had to return the top as it was damaged. So that left 4 full sets and a good bottom at the store. I suppose the odd bottom will knock around the store for a while and get discounted out at an even better price.

$156.88 out the door. Sadly Amanda suffered from male pattern baldness which made her name quite ironic.

Took me longer to unpack and peel off all the scratch tape than it did to go to the store, twice.

Just a glamour shot for those who might use them for a normal tool stack.

The top got boxed back up and stowed in the attic. I'll find a use for it someday. Thought about using it for gun tools and cleaning supplies but it is a bit too big to leave on the bench.

I bought mine to use as a rolling tool stand for the chop saw. Plan to make a 1/4" plate top for it which will bring it to the exact same height as my benches, welding table and saw horses.

The drawers will be for welding specific tools and supplies.

My lonely little Bosch. Waiting for the two packs to show up in the stores on clearance again. Got them for $40 last time. $20 for a Bosch grinder seems a fair deal. Too bad I gave one away... :headscrat

In it's parking spot. The metal sign is covering the "Don't let your idiot kid climb up the tool box" sticker. It was one of those that peeled off in tiny little chunks and left 100% of the glue behind.

Great deal, thanks for posting.

Danbury CT store has 3 more. You have to ask, they are not on display.

Thanks for the post! I just picked one up today. It seems pretty decent for the money.

I didn't call. Last time I did, the employees "couldn't find them". I'm sure they walked off with my product.

Ha bet your right about that I have yet to get any of the boxes they drop the price super low on. Every time I will check the 4 HD that are close to me and they are wiped clean of the box deals guess its all about being in the right place at the right time.

They have two of these sets on the floor near the registers at the Home Depot in Pasadena. All boxed up and ready to go. I didn't need them or I would have grabbed a set.

Bought 1 from one store and got it for 80 bucks since it was the display. (no damage just dust) and 1 from another store for 148 brand new.

seems like the inventory is usually completely wrong and you are probably going to have to find them yourself

I have actually found tool storage parity and don't need or want more. I'm a tool user, not tool collector. I need to make space for my projects, unless my project is to collect tool boxes. :)

Still, the stainless steel look is pretty nice. I could see even a restaurant using this in a kitchen.

Little late to the party. Called up my local HD yesterday, they showed one. The clerk was able find it up in the the rafters. Picked it up last night, also I used a $10.00 off coupon from Lowe's. Thanks to the OP for the post.

Thought I got lucky Saturday. The HD store in south Naples, FL showed 2 in stock but 2 different clerks were unable to find them so I left empty handed.

I bought the set in Santa Maria, CA this afternoon. The sale sign said $178, but it scanned $148 at the register. They had 2 sets on the floor. Thanks for the tip!

1st post, but long time forum viewer.

Just purchased three sets from HD in Landsdowne, MD. One is for me and the other two are for my brother and my friend.

The HD in Alexandria, VA located on Rte 1 listed (4) units, but the employees couldn't find them. I'd like to grab another one of these if I could find them.

I work all aroundmthemmetro area so,I can stop to look for these if I want. It seems to be be very sporadic. The hd down by Southpark had a lot of this on sale but not a lot of stock. Others have been full price

I picked one up last night. I love it. Id like to pick up another one, but I don't even have enough tools to fill the first one. I guess I could just use it as a dresser or something.

Just a quick tip for anyone picking up one of these boxes. I remember someone posting having difficulty removing the protective film, Heat Gun Baby! Mine pealed off like butta with a little blast of heat magic. Serious bargain these boxes were.
