Picked this up at the Home Depot near where I work yesterday because it was $5. Had a closeout sticker on the peg. Online price is still $9.88. YMMV.

This is part of the post-Christmas clearance on holiday specials on HDX and Husky branded tool sets that has many threads here.

The price drop schedule varies by store, but at this point most stores have no stock of the clearance items.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that HDX line of tools has no lifetime warranty.

you might be right about the HDX line but that screwdriver is from the Husky line and for five bucks in the store are you really worried about the warranty?

Correct, the HDX brand has no warranty list on the package. Presumably it has only the standard return policy.

The Husky tools have their normal lifetime warranty, but the holiday sets aren't normally stocked so it may be a little challenging getting a matching replacement.

Nah. The screwdriver is junk. The bits seem pretty good though. Apparently I just needed to share my moment of weakness with everybody.
