My Home Depot is literally blowing them out now if you have ryobi or makita batteries

Unfortunately most people are using DeWalt and Milwaukee and they aren’t in the clearance section.

Watch “daily deals” and that stuff comes up reasonable pretty often.

I found out home deeppot is a "greeny" store and doesnt sell gasoline powered weed whackers and chain saws any more because lithium mining and battery disposal pollutes the earth more

Good to know! I was just about ready to ditch my gas powered mower but I'll keep it now. And my gas chain saw.

I’m pretty sure Depot House is more concerned with customer experience and lost revenue from gas powered vehicles not selling season to season. Battery equipment can sit on a shelf til next spring. Maybe a gas version leaks a bit or won’t start as easily on year old fuel.

I personally switched to cordless over gas for small chainsaws and weed eaters because I’m just tired of the mess and hassle. Big saws, still worth the extra work.

No, they don’t.

Your statement is contradictory, but do you have a source we can check for this info? Seems unlikely based on my years with THD.

I thought about that after I wrote it. I still stand by the concept that battery tools are easier on inventory and easier to get the average customer to use. I have piles of gas weed eaters I’ve been given over the years and know of piles more for free.
