Well it has been about 2 months since I posted about my Husky 46 inch tool box.It seems as if the roller bearing on one the slide rails wanted to go AWOL. Well they did and the top drawer was now useless. I contacted HD and they told me to contact the manufacture. Whitch I did with zero success. They told me to contact the seller. Can you see the path I was going on? So after checking HD, Lowes Ace with know success I drilled out the hinge and went to HD in Osage Beach Missouri. After showing them the worn track and asking if they could possibly order me a new one they took my number and would call me on Monday. Yea right! Well they did call and we set up to meet the store manager. The meeting was today at 2PM. After showing him the worn parts he asked if I had the sales recite.Another Yea right. I payed cash.So I wandered about the store as the man had to check something out, I returned to find a NEW Husky 52 Inch on a dolly. All I had to do was return the old box as soon as possible. He aided me in loading this 201lb box into my truck, we shook hands. Now can you ask for better customer relations than this? It is a shame that they are 60 miles away. I will return my old box early next week. This is praise worthy. Ken

I'm glad they took care of you. I have had two of their 52" boxes, the 18 drawer upper/lower set and the 9 drawer with the wood top. I loved them both, and still have the 9-drawer, though now it is in my wife's craft room as I replaced my set up with 2 44" boxes so I could fit them under an 8 foot workbench.
Anyway, I hope you're happy with the 52, in my opinion it is a really great box for the money, and if you aren't in it everyday and treat it nice they can last a long time.

Well at least you got a reply. I have a Lowes 3 drawer workbench (see pix) and the large drawer slide jammed immediately after I put this thing together. 5 emails to Lowes remain unanswered a visit to the store and they told me to call the 1-800 number on the instructions which I did . They said they'll send out a replacement slide but that was 3 months ago and still no slide. I plan to replace it with a better bench and trash this POS.

According to his previous thread, he got about a year's worth of use out of it.

I had one of the 26" boxes a few years back and the casters didnt bolt up tot he box. I think they shipped the wrong ones. Called the number on the directions and they sent me new ones free of charge.

This is all good news and I'm glad HD is stepping up in some instances/places. I think I would have headed over to the cabinet shop supply and gotten heavier duty guides and upgraded.

Your solution was better. The box grew.

Good for you. Unfortunately, there's a good chance you'll do it all over again in another year!

I have the 52" for a about 1 1/2 years and have been using it regularly. No problems at all with it to date. I'd get another if I had the room.
