HD is my preferred rental place right now. Sod cutter, post hole digger, aerorator and leveling roller, dump trailer....0 issues with them and equipment always in good condition. Haven't done any power tools from them, I generally am stupid and buy them so I trip over them in the garage instead

A local rental place doesn't want you to fill the gas tank. They only use non-ethanol gas in all gas powered equipment. I recall they even give you a filled gas can for longer rentals.
Interesting.
We don't have gasahol at pumps in AK so didn't think of that.
I'm not sure Home Depot rents equipment here even. I've never seen a rental yard for them.

Only select Home Depot stores have tool rental. It isn't a huge yard. Tool rental is usually at the front or side of the store generally in an addition to the store. They often park the bigger equipment near the lumberyard entrance.
It appears HD has tool rental at multiple stores in Anchorage, plus Wasilla, and Fairbanks in Alaska.

Interesting. Was just in the Wasilla one 3 times on Wednesday and once this morning (isn't plumbing fun) and didn't notice a rental yard.
