Just a heads up to everyone. Seems Home Depot has redone their Price Match policy. The main thing to note here is they're no longer matching and beating a competitor by 10%.

Still charge tax. That will lessen any savings.

This is where a good credit card comes in handy. My Costco Visa will price match for '60 days' but all they look at is the cost of the item and they do not count shipping. Also, Black Friday deals, etc are fair game

For example, I recently purchased a new Incra router table. The place I bought it from had a higher cost with free shipping. I later found a place with a lower price, but shipping was about $50 so I ended up saving $23

Went in there yesterday, and price matched these. Got them for $43. They will price match with anyone except Amazon b3611aa40e0ba17b50f233d3006ed905.jpg

I'm not sure what laws changed and when, but I am finding that there are several online retailers now collecting tax that previously did not. Really ***** when you live in a state with a high sales tax (9.25%).

The tax was always due, it was just the responsibility of the buyer to pay it to the state. More states are requiring sellers to collect the tax since some buyers are not paying the tax. Some states have also moved the buyer's tax payment mechanism to the state tax return, so failure to pay becomes income tax evasion and they have better ways to enforce it.

I noticed this Friday when I was check to see who had the cheapest salt for the water softner. I wonder if they have do ne away with it because on occasion they give a rebate when Menard's is offering their 11% rebate.

:dunno:
