How about we get this thread back on track on home made tools.

Fatbrosracing,
Its good to see the results of Mike Bishop's article. That bead roller article was in the July 1994 issue of American Rodder. I bought my issue on eBay.

Mike had other tool articles in American Rodder:
August 1993 - Disk Sander
September 1993 - Belt Sander
October 1993 - How-To on Band Saw Speed Changing
April 1994 - Hydraulic Press

I have these scanned as Adobe Acrobat files; but I don't have Mike's permission to post them to the Internet. I wouldn't want to violate his intellectual property rights as the author. In my scans the photographs are pretty clear.

Williams Low Buck Tools has some pretty good stuff to put on a home made C-frame. Link here:

http://www.lowbucktools.com/

They have a set of louver dies, a planishing hammer and other stuff. They were recently written up in Rod and Custom Magazine.

I'm collecting parts for the disk sander and will make it up when I get all the parts together.

On the Jalopy Journal's HAMB Classified Tigman is selling a stand to hold a Porta Band type band saw. Pretty simple and cheap. His stand will hold the Milwaukee saw and the next version will hold the Dewalt and Porter Cable saws as well.

I hope this info helps all you tool whores out there.

Phil

Yeah, I feel kind of dumb since I posted that comment I got on your plans page and seen your selling info and such. I"ll probably buy some plans soon as I get some other projects finished. Thanks dude
