I haven't installed it yet, but I was wondering if there is a way to check in/out items to keep an accurate count, so I know when I need to buy more of something. Items like hardware (nuts/bolts/screws etc.)

one other question...how do you add things....for example..

the first record i went to add was a 60 gallon air compressor...i selected pneumatic tools and the manufacture but there was no option for air compressor or the size of 60 gallon.

i attempted to select different boxes to see if air compressor was in there, did select the wrong one?

Nope you can add anything you want to the lists. If you go to the main screen.

Click on the "Administration Menu" You will see a list of categories, If you click one it will allow you to edit them as you see fit.

I am running Office 2010 with access 2010, I do have pretty much every version of office/access known to man (MIS Sys Admin) but not at home. Is there a way to run it in 2010 or do I just need to wait till I get to work tomorrow?

THANKS, this will be one handy tool!

I apologize in advance for the bump, but I had been lingering around here for a while. I finally signed up for an account in September, but just kept reading. Until today when I found this, and it warranted my very first post. After quietly lingering for so long, I had to put it out there, thank you much for this! Very much appreciated, and exactly what I had been looking for.

You are welcome.

The x64 bit version mentioned in your PM is listed on the first post, its the last link. Should work for you are I am running it on Win 7 x64 with Office 2010.

Hi all, I am getting ready to use Keep's awesome database and have a question for any current users.
How do you manage the "Location" of your tools?
I have accumulated a lot of speciality tools over the years and often can't remember where I stashed them. Of course I will discover them again when I go through the garage and put them in the database. But I would be very interested to see what you came up with for Location. I hope to be able to go to the computer when i'm done and type in the name of the tool, then find it in the database and then having the location.

Thanks

You could use the description field to put in where you store it.

I never really thought about where I stored things as I only have 2 toolboxes and a pegboard!

This was my primary reason for not adopting this program for inventory. I need a sortable field for location. Something might be kept in the house, garage, basement, shop, car, truck, at the cabin, etc. A localized disaster such as a shop fire or stolen vehicle would create a need to print a list of all items located there.

Downloaded the empty version since the other version complained that I did not have Access 2007, guess it doesnt like 2010.

Thanks again, I am going to load this up over my winter break. I've been meaning to do so for a while now.

Not sure why after 5 years I started getting pm's and questions about this again.

I have added the unlocked version to the download list for those that want it.

Please do not ask me to edit/create/modify. Its there for you to play with if you want.
